Gardner Minshew QB | ARI
Colts' Gardner Minshew: Starting at least next four games
Minshew is set to start at quarterback for Indianapolis for at least the next four contests after the Colts placed Anthony Richardson (shoulder) on injured reserve Wednesday, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.
As a result of landing on IR, Richardson won't be eligible to return to action until the Colts' Week 10 matchup with the Patriots. However, with a bye on tap for the Colts in Week 11 and with Holder reporting that Richardson's recovery timeline for his AC joint sprain could range between 4-to-8 weeks, Minshew could have a decent chance at picking up more than four starts, assuming he steers clear of an injury himself. Meanwhile, Indianapolis also signed Kellen Mond to the practice squad, which will provide some additional emergency depth for the quarterback room heading into a Week 6 matchup against Jacksonville.

Anthony Richardson QB | IND
Colts' Anthony Richardson: Lands on IR
The Colts placed Richardson (shoulder) on injured reserve Wednesday.
As a result of the move, Richardson will miss at least the next four games, making the Colts' Week 10 game against the Patriots his earliest potential return date. In the meantime, Gardner Minshew is slated to start at quarterback for the Colts.

Kellen Mond QB | NO
Kellen Mond: Set to sign with Indianapolis
Mond is expected to sign with the Colts' practice squad, pending a physical, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Mond was let go by the Browns in late August, but he now appears to be getting a shot with Indianapolis. The quarterback will operate as an additional depth option behind starter Gardner Minshew while Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is unavailable.

Tanner Morgan QB | MIN
Tanner Morgan: Gets cut from practice squad
Minnesota cut Morgan from its practice squad Tuesday.
Less than a week after joining the Vikings squad, Morgan is now set to become a free agent again. The undrafted rookie has apparently struggled to find his footing since originally signing a deal with Pittsburgh during the offseason.

Daniel Jones QB | IND
Giants' Daniel Jones: Neck injury different from 2021
Jones said Tuesday on the "Up & Adams Show" that the neck injury he sustained during Sunday's loss at Miami isn't the same as the one he dealt with during the 2021 season.
Coach Brian Daboll expressed optimism Monday regarding the quarterback's availability against Buffalo in Week 6, and Jones concurred the next day, saying "that's certainly the goal." In 2021, Jones missed the final six games of the campaign due to his neck issue, but his current injury doesn't seem to be the same level of severity.

Deshaun Watson QB | CLE
Browns' Deshaun Watson: Still day-to-day
Watson is considered day-to-day as of Tuesday due to a bruised rotator cuff in his right throwing shoulder, and his status for Sunday's game against the 49ers is to be determined, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Prior to the Browns' bye, Watson reportedly was medically cleared to play with the shoulder issue that impacted him during Week 4 prep, but he ultimately didn't feel comfortable doing so and was inactive against the Ravens. Even with the bye behind him, he still didn't practice Monday but was able to throw, which perhaps is a sign he'll be able to manage a limited session in practice Wednesday. If Watson is unable to play Sunday, rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson could get another start under center, though the more experienced PJ Walker is on the team's practice squad.

Jimmy Garoppolo QB | LAR
Raiders' Jimmy Garoppolo: Works around INT in MNF win
Garoppolo completed 22 of 31 pass attempts for 208 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Monday's 17-13 win over the Packers.
Garoppolo made a healthy return from a one-game absence due to a concussion suffered against Pittsburgh in Week 3. The veteran signal-caller had a pedestrian fantasy line but played well considering his best weapon, Davante Adams (shoulder), wasn't at full strength Monday. Garoppolo did throw an ill-advised interception on the opening drive of the second half when he forced an outside throw to a covered Jakobi Meyers that was easily picked off by Green Bay's defense. It was an otherwise solid performance from Las Vegas' starting quarterback as he prepares to face the team that drafted him in a home matchup against New England on Sunday.

Jordan Love QB | GB
Packers' Jordan Love: Struggles with INTs in Week 5 loss
Love completed 16 of 30 passes for 182 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions in the Packers' 17-13 loss to the Raiders on Monday night. He also rushed twice for 37 yards.
The third-year pro frequently looked like a rookie Monday night while once again struggling with his accuracy. Love's three picks matched his season total coming into the night, and the final one came in the end zone on a play where Christian Watson appeared to initially be open for what would have potentially been a game-winning touchdown. The quarterback's first pick also led to a Las Vegas field goal, and he's now completed under 60 percent of his passes in four of the first five games. Love now will have a Week 6 bye to reset before returning to action in a favorable Week 7 road matchup against the Broncos.

Geno Smith QB | NYJ
Seahawks' Geno Smith: Doing 'fine' after Week 5 bye
Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Smith's knee is "fine," Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Smith hurt his knee during the Seahawks' last contest Monday, Oct. 2 at the Giants, which capped him to 38 of 55 offensive snaps. His resulting stat line was modest -- 13-for-20 passing for 110 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions along with a catch for minus-2 yards -- and Carroll told John Boyle of the team's official site afterward that Smith's injury was spurred by getting his knee twisted. With a Week 5 bye behind him, Smith appears as if he'll miss no more time due to the issue, as he looked spry while going through drills Monday, per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times. Seattle will post its first practice report of Week 6 prep Wednesday ahead of Sunday's game at Cincinnati.

Aidan O'Connell QB | LV
Raiders' Aidan O'Connell: Inactive Monday
O'Connell is inactive for Monday night's game against the Packers.
With Jimmy Garoppolo (concussion) sidelined in Week 4, O'Connell drew the start in the Raiders' 24-17 loss to the Chargers. Now that Garoppolo is back in action, O'Connell will resume a reserve role, while Brian Hoyer is slated to serve as the team's No. 2 QB on Monday.
