Chase McLaughlin K | TB
Browns' Chase McLaughlin: Handling kicking duties
McLaughlin is in position to handle the Browns' kicking duties with Cody Parkey headed to IR with a quad injury, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
That said, it's quite plausible that the Browns could bring another kicker aboard to challenge McLaughlin, but for now the 25-year-old, who's had regular-season stints with a handful of teams over the last two campaigns, will work behind Cleveland's Baker Mayfield-led offense. It's an assignment that could result in fantasy relevance for McLaughlin, if he ends up cementing it.

Nick Folk K | ATL
Patriots' Nick Folk: Resumes practicing
Folk (undisclosed) is practicing Monday, Ryan Hannable of WEEI.com reports.
Folk missed over a week over a week of practices due to an undisclosed injury. Now that he's back in action, Folk can resume competing with Quinn Nordin for the Week 1 starting gig.

Browns' Chase McLaughlin: Steps in for Parkey
McLaughlin handled all of the kicking duties in the second half of Sunday's 17-13 win over the Giants in preseason Week 2 due to an injury to Cody Parkey (quadriceps), Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official site reports.
McLaughlin has converted all his field-goal and extra-point attempts this preseason, including a 49-yard field goal with plenty to spare in Sunday's win, and all but one kickoff has resulted in a touchback. The lone kick returned Sunday was from two yards inside the end zone and ended up with the Giants at their own 13-yard line. Head coach Kevin Stefanski was not sure how Parkey's injury occurred or the severity. Parkey is still considered the favorite to win the job, but obviously the injury will be a factor in the coming weeks.

Joey Slye K | TEN
Panthers' Joey Slye: Another miss Saturday
Slye missed from 37 yards but later converted a 41-yard field goal during Saturday's 20-3 preseason loss to the Ravens.
Slye has missed three kicks in Carolina's two preseason outings thus far, a less-than-ideal start to the campaign following some erraticism last term. After the game, coach Matt Rhule acknowledged Slye's struggles and hopes he'll get over the hump soon, Joseph Person of The Athletic reports. As a result, it'll be interesting to see how Slye, who has been the Panthers' kicker the past two years, fares in Friday's exhibition finale versus the Steelers.

Ka'imi Fairbairn K | HOU
Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Perfect again
Fairbairn made two of two field-goal attempts and both extra points in Saturday's 20-14 win over Dallas in Preseason Week 2.
Fairbairn has converted all six field-goal tries over the first two preseason games and is poised for a potentially productive season, if the offense fails to finish drives. Houston's offense stumbled for a second straight week, producing its lone touchdown after the defense forced a turnover on the Cowboys' first drive of the game.

Eddy Pineiro K | SF
Colts' Eddy Pineiro: Converts all three FG attempts
Pineiro made all three of his field-goal attempts from 31, 50 and 28 yards, in Saturday's preseason win over Minnesota.
Both Rodrigo Blankenship and Pineiro have been nearly perfect in training camp and the preseason. Blankenship will likely retain this starting job from last season unless he stumbles however. Pineiro could draw interest from other NFL teams if he has another strong preseason game next week.

Rodrigo Blankenship K | TB
Colts' Rodrigo Blankenship: Makes 47-yard FG
Blankenship converted his only field goal attempt from 47 yards in Saturday's preseason win at Minnesota.
Both Blankenship and Eddy Pineiro have been nearly perfect in training camp and the preseason. Blankenship will likely retain this starting job from last season unless he stumbles. He had a solid rookie campaign, missing only five kicks (including PATs) inside of 50 yards. However, he had a key 33-yard misfire late in the third quarter against Buffalo during the playoffs.

Jason Myers K | SEA
Seahawks' Jason Myers: Drills 40-yarder
Myers connected on his lone field-goal attempt -- a 40-yard kick -- during Saturday's 30-3 preseason loss to the Broncos.
The Seahawks didn't bring in any competition for Myers after the 30-year-old made all 24 field-goal attempts last season, including 15 from beyond 40 yards. Myers should be selected as a starter in fantasy this season.

Brett Maher K | LAR
Brett Maher: Waived with injury settlement
Maher (groin) was waived from injured reserve by the Saints with an injury settlement Saturday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
Maher was on IR, but with this move New Orleans is responsible to pay him until he's healed. The 31-year-old hasn't played in the NFL since 2019, and his future in the league is uncertain.

Jake Elliott K | PHI
Eagles' Jake Elliott: Unlikely to play Thursday
Elliott (ankle) isn't in uniform ahead of Thursday's preseason game against the Patriots, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Currently, Elliott is considered day-to-day with an ankle injury, so he likely isn't dealing with anything too serious. But it appears the Eagles are exercising caution and will keep the fifth-year pro on the sidelines for their second exhibition. Elliott was in form in preseason Week 1 versus the Steelers, converting from 47, 47 and 50 yards on his field-goal attempts.
