Berroa cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Berroa lost his spot on the Phillies' 40-man roster last weekend, but he'll stay put at Lehigh Valley after passing through waivers. The 27-year-old owns a .762 OPS through 262 plate appearances in the minors this season.

The Mariners placed Raley (elbow) on the 10-day injured list Saturday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Raley has reportedly been battling soreness in his elbow for a while and missed Friday's game because of it, so the Mariners will now place him on the shelf. The severity of his injury is unknown, but he'll likely undergo imaging within the next several days to help determine exactly what he's dealing with and when he might be able to return. In the meantime, Victor Robles is a likely candidate to take over as Seattle's primary right fielder, and Stuart Fairchild will come up from Triple-A to fill the open roster spot.

The Yankees traded Doval to the Pirates on Saturday in exchange for minor-leaguers Omar Alfonzo and Luis Cruz, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Doval owns a 4.54 ERA and 1.41 WHIP through 39.2 innings this season and had been losing out on high-leverage work with the Yankees, recording just one hold and no saves in his last 23 appearances. He might not immediately be in the mix for saves upon joining the Pirates, but the 29-year-old's experience as a closer could allow him to climb up the leverage ladder quickly if his performance improves.

Polanco isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Miami, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Polanco will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout after failing to record a hit in 23 at-bats across his last seven games. Bo Bichette will serve as the Mets' designated hitter, opening up third base for Brett Baty.

Robert isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Robert will take a day to reset after going just 4-for-33 at the plate in 10 games since returning from the injured list. Tyrone Taylor, A.J. Ewing and Carson Benge will start across the outfield while Robert sits.

Alvarez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Miami, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Alvarez will move to the bench after going 2-for-19 with six strikeouts in New York's last five games. Luis Torrens will fill in at catcher and bat ninth.

Jimenez (illness) will start at third base and bat fifth Saturday against the Mets.

Jimenez has been out since Wednesday due to a stomach illness, but he now seems to be feeling better and will pick up a start at the hot corner against southpaw Zac Thornton.

Raley (elbow) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Twins.

The 31-year-old's absence Saturday could be attributed to southpaw Connor Prielipp starting on the mound for Minnesota, but Raley will get another day to recover from elbow soreness all the same. Dominic Canzone will start in right field as a result, moving Cal Raleigh into the DH spot while Mitch Garver starts at catcher.

Matsui (2-1) earned the win over San Francisco on Friday, allowing one hit and striking out two batters over three scoreless innings.

San Diego deployed a bit of an unusual pitching progression, opening with reliever Bradgley Rodriguez for one inning before going to Matsui for three frames and finishing with veteran starter German Marquez for the final five . All three hurlers pitched well, and Matsui got the victory with three scoreless frames that included just one hit. The left-hander completed three innings for the first time as a major-leaguer, throwing 49 pitches (32 strikes). Matsui isn't seeing a ton of high-leverage work, but he's having his best big-league season to date, posting a 2.38 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 45:24 K:BB while collecting six holds through 31 appearances spanning 41.2 innings.

The Twins reinstated Acton (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A St. Paul, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Acton landed on the injured list in late April with a strained right shoulder but began playing in rehab games July 11. Since then, he's given up four runs in 9.2 innings across three levels. Now fully healthy, he'll stay put at Triple-A and provide organizational bullpen depth.
