Vivas isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins.

Vivas will take a day off to regroup Saturday after going 0-for-12 at the plate across his last four games. Jose Tena will start at the keystone while Vivas sits, and Brady House will get the nod at third base.

Ruiz isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Miami.

Ruiz will grab a seat on the bench Saturday after going 4-for-10 with a homer and two total RBI while starting each of Washington's last three games. Harry Ford will fill in behind the dish and bat fifth.

Abrams (ankle) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins.

Abrams hasn't played since he injured his left ankle during the ninth inning of Wednesday's game against Texas. His absence will continue into Saturday, and although the Nationals haven't indicated the 25-year-old will need to spend time on the injured list, he may need to do so if he isn't able to return to action soon. Nasim Nunez will start at shortstop and bat eighth.

Gimenez (hamstring) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Gimenez will miss a second consecutive start Saturday after suffering a hamstring injury during Thursday's contest against the Rays. While he continues to recover, Ernie Clement will shift over to shortstop, giving Charles McAdoo a start at second base.

The Blue Jays optioned Schneider to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday.

Just one day after joining the major-league roster, Schneider will be sent back to Triple-A to make room for Vladimir Guerrero (concussion), who returned from the injured list in a corresponding move. The 27-year-old Schneider has slashed just .142/.295/.274 across 140 plate appearances in the majors this season, but he boasts an .894 OPS at Buffalo.

The Blue Jays reinstated Guerrero (concussion) from the injured list Saturday.

Guerrero cleared concussion protocol Thursday, and after going 1-for-1 with a pair of walks, an RBI and a run scored during a tune-up game at Single-A, he'll return to the active roster ahead of Saturday's game against the Yankees. Davis Schneider was sent down to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Manager Pat Murphy said Saturday that he expects Frelick (shoulder) to return from the injured list during Milwaukee's upcoming series against the Mets, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports.

Murphy said Friday that Frelick would be activated from the injured list in the near future, and although he still doesn't have a firm return date, it's been narrowed down to sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. The 26-year-old outfielder has spent the past couple of weeks on a rehab assignment at Triple-A, going 9-for-32 with two homers, five RBI, seven runs scored and a steal across nine contests.

The Dodgers recalled Thomas from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.

With Andy Pages set to miss 4-to-5 weeks with a fractured hand, the Dodgers will turn to Thomas to bolster their outfield depth. Since joining the organization in May, the 26-year-old has slashed .296/.362/.493 with seven home runs, 40 RBI, 33 runs and four steals across 249 plate appearances at Triple-A. He'll likely be in the mix with Alex Call and Tommy Edman to start in center field.

The Marlins recalled De Los Santos from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

De Los Santos has spent the vast majority of the season at Jacksonville, where he owns a .283/.347/.496 slash line with 19 homers, 66 RBI, 49 runs and 18 steals through 401 plate appearances. He'll now rejoin the parent club to give the Marlins extra flexibility at first base while Kyle Stowers (hamstring) is on the injured list. Logan Driscoll was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

The Marlins optioned Driscoll to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

After selecting Driscoll to the active roster Friday, the Marlins will now send him back to Triple-A while keeping him on their 40-man roster. Deyvison De Los Santos was recalled from Jacksonville in a corresponding move.
