  • Colin Rea SP | CHC

Cubs' Colin Rea: Solid showing in win

Rea (1-0) allowed one run on two hits, two walks and a hit-by-pitch while striking out two over five innings to earn the win over the Rays on Wednesday.

Rea had worked in long relief for his first two outings of the season, allowing three runs on eight hits and a walk over 6.1 innings. The right-hander has started at least 22 games in three straight seasons, so it shouldn't take him long to adjust, though it's unclear if he'll be the Cubs' long-term solution at the back of the rotation. He threw 51 of 79 pitches for strikes in this outing. Rea doesn't have great strikeout rates in his career, though he has a 10:3 K:BB through 11.1 innings so far this season. Assuming he remains in the rotation for another turn, he's tentatively lined up for a tough road start versus the Phillies.

  • Gleyber Torres 2B | DET

Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Scores twice, drives in two

Torres went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Twins.

Torres tallied his second two-hit effort of the season as he put together a strong fantasy performance. The veteran infielder is batting only .227, but he has a strong .393 on-base percentage due to his good eye at the plate. Torres has a 21.4 percent walk rate so far this year, which would easily represent a career high. His ability to get on base gives him plenty of run-scoring potential moving forward.

  • Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Big game in blowout win

Goodman went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks, a stolen base and three runs scored Wednesday against the Astros.

Goodman reached base three times for the second time this season, with the highlight being a solo home run in the fourth inning. He's had a slow start to the 2026 campaign, with the long ball being only his third extra-base hit and second homer across 49 plate appearances. Goodman is also striking out at a 34.7 percent clip, though he has scored nine runs across 12 contests.

  • Tigers' Dillon Dingler: Tallies three hits in loss

Dingler went 3-for-4 with an RBI in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Twins.

Dingler snapped an 0-for-9 slump across the previous three games with his first three-hit effort of the young season. The Detroit catcher is now batting .273 overall, which is in line with the .278 average he posted during the regular season last year. Dingler has no real threat to his playing time behind the plate, and he should remain a stable fantasy asset.

  • Aidan Miller SS | PHI

Phillies' Aidan Miller: Resumes taking swings

Miller (back) has resumed swinging a bat, MLB.com reports.

Although it's an encouraging step forward for Miller, there remains no clear timetable for his return to game action for Triple A Lehigh Valley. The 21-year-old shortstop, who is Philadelphia's top prospect, has been nursing lower-back soreness since spring training and figures to be brought along slowly amid his recovery.

  • Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Steals again

De La Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Marlins.

De La Cruz walked, stole a base and scored a run in the first inning. After failing to record a steal in the first eight games, De La Cruz has stolen a base in three of the last four contests while going 4-for-15 with a double during that span.

  • Sam Moll RP | CIN

    Reds' Sam Moll: Firing blanks

Moll did not allow a hit and struck out two over 2.1 scoreless innings during Wednesday's 7-4 loss to Miami. He also hit two batters.

Moll was needed for length as starter Brady Singer left after 2.2 innings, having given up six runs and 10 hits. Moll has not yet allowed a run or hit over six appearances (6.2 innings) this season.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Braves' Matt Olson: Adds two-run homer to strong start

Olson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Angels.

Olson is putting together an excellent start to the season, hitting safely in 11 of his first 13 games. Each of his three homers have come in the month of April, during which the All-Star first baseman is hitting .290 with four doubles, seven RBI and six walks across 31 at-bats. Olson is tied for second in the National League with six doubles thus far.

  • Reid Detmers SP | LAA

Angels' Reid Detmers: Struggles with loud contact

Detmers (0-1) took the loss Wednesday against Atlanta, allowing six runs (five earned) on five hits and two walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Hard contact plagued the left-hander Wednesday, as four of his knocks allowed went for extra bases. Detmers was never quite able to settle in either, giving up at least one run in each of the first three frames before being chased from the outing at 92 pitches with one out in the fifth. Detmers' return to the rotation this year has yielded mixed results -- he holds a 4.60 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB over 15.2 innings -- and things won't get much easier with a tough matchup against the Yankees looming for his next start.

  • Sal Stewart 1B | CIN

Reds' Sal Stewart: Contributes with bat, legs

Stewart went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two RBI, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Marlins.

Stewart stole second base and scored in the first inning before mashing a two-run home run in the fifth, the rookie's third of the season. He's been a nice mix of power and speed out of the cleanup spot for the Reds; the steal was Stewart's third and his .683 slugging percentage (seven XBH) leads Cincinnati.
