David Hagaman SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' David Hagaman: Building up in extended ST
Hagaman has not been assigned to an affiliate as he continues to build up in extended spring training, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.
He underwent internal brace surgery in 2024 and had an excellent return to action in 2025, logging a 2.98 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 27.6 K-BB% in 13 starts across the lower levels before striking out 14 in 12 innings in the Arizona Fall League. The Diamondbacks aren't saying Hagaman is hurt, but he presumably dealt with some soreness at some point in camp to be behind at this stage. He only logged 20 innings at High-A, but Hagaman could be ready for a bump to Double-A once he's fully built up, or shortly thereafter.

Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Exiting starting nine
Langeliers is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.
Langeliers started each of the Athletics' first 11 games of the season, so he's earned a breather for Thursday's matinee in the Bronx. The A's will turn to Austin Wynns at catcher in the rubber match.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Crosses plate three times in win
Riley went 1-for-3 with two walks, a double, three runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Angels.
It was a busy day on the basepaths for the third baseman, who isn't exactly known for his wheels -- the steal was just the eighth of Riley's career, and his first of 2026. He's still looking for his first homer of the year, and through 13 games Riley is slashing .200/.308/.244 with two doubles, three RBI and six runs.

Patrick Forbes SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Patrick Forbes: Pro debut delayed
High-A Hillsboro placed Forbes on the 7-day injured list with a flexor injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.
Dykstra reports that Forbes could be game-ready in roughly 6-to-8 weeks, but if this is a flexor strain, there's a chance things take a turn for the worse at some point during his ramp up. Forbes was given a vote of confidence with the assignment to High-A. He comes with significant bullpen risk, but Forbes has big-time stuff, sitting in the mid-90s and touching 100 mph with his fastball in college.

Ronald Acuna Jr. RF | ATL
Braves' Ronald Acuna: On base three times in win
Acuna went 2-for-4 with a walk, two doubles and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Angels.
The star outfielder has had a slow start to the season, but Acuna may be finding his rhythm. He's collected five hits over the last four games, inching his slash line on the season up to .204/.310/.265 with three doubles, two RBI, three runs and two steals. Acuna's still looking for his first homer of 2026.

Ryan Gusto P | MIA
Marlins' Ryan Gusto: Optioned to Triple-A
The Marlins optioned Gusto to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday.
Gusto was up for a few days while Pete Fairbanks was on paternity leave, but he'll head back to the minors now as Fairbanks rejoins the active roster. The 27-year-old Gusto picked up a hold with a scoreless inning Wednesday in his lone appearance with the big club.

Demetrio Crisantes SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Demetrio Crisantes: Out 6-8 weeks
Double-A Amarillo placed Crisantes on the 7-day injured list April 3 with a hamstring injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.
He is expected to miss between six and eight weeks with what is presumably a strain. Crisantes was given an aggressive assignment to Double-A after missing most of 2025 following a significant left shoulder injury. He isn't a big-time athlete, but when healthy, Crisantes has been one of the better pure hitters in the lower levels of the minors. He hit an unlucky (.257 BABIP) .252 with a .358 OBP, four home runs, six steals and more walks (21) than strikeouts (19) in 34 games at High-A as a 20-year-old.

Pete Fairbanks RP | MIA
Marlins' Pete Fairbanks: Back from paternity leave
The Marlins activated Fairbanks from the paternity leave list Thursday.
Fairbanks missed the first three games of the series against the Reds as he welcomed a new addition to the family, but he'll be available for the series finale Thursday. The veteran closer has permitted three runs with a 6:1 K:BB over his first four innings this season, collecting a pair of saves along the way.
