Meadows was removed from Thursday's game against the Twins in the eighth inning following a collision in the outfield, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Meadows appeared to take a blow to the head when he collided with fellow outfielder Riley Greene, who secured the catch. Meadows was carted off the field, though he was sitting up and alert. The 26-year-old sure to undergo concussion testing, and he looked to be bleeding from his mouth, as well. The Tigers should have more on his condition after the game.

The Marlins will recall De Los Santos from Triple-A Jacksonville prior to Friday's game in Detroit, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

He's expected to be the roster replacement for Griffin Conine (hamstring), who is bound for the 10-day injured list. De Los Santos was up briefly with the big club earlier this season, going 1-for-2 with a double. He's an option for playing time between first base and designated hitter, though an everyday role is unlikely.

Conine (hamstring) is likely to be placed on the 10-day injured list, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Conine was forced to leave Thursday's game against the Reds after injuring his left hamstring on a diving attempt in the outfield. The Marlins have not yet referred to the injury as a strain, but it seems they're expecting to make a roster move. Deyvison De Los Santos is expected to be the roster replacement for Conine.

Jensen is not in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the White Sox.

Jensen had started the last two contests at catcher and the last three games overall, but he'll get some rest in Thursday's series opener. Jac Caglianone is serving as the Royals' designated hitter, and Lane Thomas will get the start in right field.

The Royals optioned Cruz to Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Cruz has struggled with consistency since being recalled to the big leagues at the beginning of the month, allowing eight earned runs over five innings despite going unscored upon in three of his five appearances. He'll aim to right the ship in the minors; meanwhile, Eli Morgan will come up from Omaha to fill the vacancy in Kansas City's bullpen.

The Royals optioned Avila to Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Avila surrendered five earned runs in just three innings during his season debut against the Brewers on Saturday. He found more success after moving to the bullpen for his next outing, giving up just one run in three frames against Cleveland on Wednesday, but the Royals will remove him from their active roster nonetheless. Mitch Spence will come up from Omaha in a corresponding move to fill Kansas City's need for a multi-inning reliever.

The Royals recalled Spence from Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Spence gave up eight earned runs over seven innings during spring training but looked much better during his first start at Triple-A, tossing five shutout innings while allowing four hits and no walks. Now back in the big leagues, the 27-year-old righty will presumably work in a long-relief role, replacing Luinder Avila.

The Royals recalled Morgan from Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Morgan came up from Triple-A as the 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Brewers, during which he gave up a hit and a walk while striking out five batters over three shutout innings. He'll now return to Kansas City alongside Mitch Spence to give the Royals a couple of fresh bullpen arms, replacing Luinder Avila and Steven Cruz.

Minter (lat) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A St. Lucie on Thursday, Michael Mayer of MetsmerizedOnline.com reports.

It will be the first game appearance for Minter since he underwent surgery on his left lat last May. Given how long the layoff has been, Minter is going to require a handful of rehab appearances before rejoining the Mets' bullpen. The veteran lefty will eventually slot into a setup role but could be eased into high-leverage situations.

Polanco isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Polanco will step out of the lineup Thursday after going 4-for-17 with a double over his last four games. His absence will move Francisco Alvarez into the DH spot while Luis Torrens starts behind the plate and bats eighth.
