Jeremiah Estrada RP | SD
Padres' Jeremiah Estrada: Placed on injured list
The Padres placed Estrada on the 15-day injured list Friday with right elbow tendinitis.
After logging five straight shutout appearances, Estrada gave up two earned runs on two hits and two walks over 1.1 innings during his outing Thursday. He had been working as a setup man in front of closer Mason Miller, but Jason Adam will presumably take over in that role after being activated from the IL in a corresponding move.

Jason Adam RP | SD
Padres' Jason Adam: Returns from IL
The Padres reinstated Adam (quadriceps) from the injured list Friday.
Adam began the season on a rehab assignment at Triple-A El Paso while finishing up his recovery from offseason quad surgery. He made four appearances in the minors, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out one batter across five shutout innings. The 34-year-old righty has turned in a sub-2.00 ERA in each of the past two seasons but will work mostly in a setup role in front of closer Mason Miller. Jeremiah Estrada (elbow) was placed on the 15-day IL in a corresponding move.

Clay Holmes RP | NYM
Mets' Clay Holmes: Exits start with trainer
Holmes was removed from his start Friday against the Athletics with left hamstring tightness, Max Goodman of NJ.com reports.
Holmes had been pitching well Friday, allowing just one earned run on five hits and three walks while striking out three batters over 5.1 innings, but the Mets' trainers saw something they didn't like and made the call to pull the 33-year-old. More details on his injury will likely come after the team takes a closer look at him.

Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Exits early Friday
Moreno was removed from Friday's game against the Phillies due to lower-back tightness.
The severity of Moreno's injury remains unknown, but the Diamondbacks may have more information after Friday's contest. James McCann replaced the 26-year-old behind the dish and would be in line to start at catcher if Moreno is forced to miss time.

Troy Johnston RF | COL
Rockies' Troy Johnston: Getting rest Friday
Johnston isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against San Diego.
Johnston will head to the bench Friday after going 0-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts during Thursday's loss. Tyler Freeman will start in right field and bat second.
-
Hunter Goodman RF | COL
Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Sitting Friday
Goodman (finger) isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.
Goodman suffered a right middle finger laceration during Thursday's loss, and his injury will officially cost him a start. Brett Sullivan will handle catching duties Friday and bat eighth; meanwhile, Goodman can be considered day-to-day for now.

Blake Snell SP | LAD
Dodgers' Blake Snell: Facing hitters Saturday
Snell (shoulder) is scheduled to throw live batting practice Saturday, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.
Saturday will mark Snell's first time facing live hitters this year as he works his way back from left shoulder fatigue. Although his live session will represent a significant step forward in his recovery, the 33-year-old will likely require a lengthy rehab assignment and isn't expected to make his season debut until late May.

Yainer Diaz C | HOU
Astros' Yainer Diaz: Out of Friday's lineup
Diaz isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Seattle.
Diaz will miss a second consecutive start Friday after starting each of Houston's previous five games, going 6-for-21 with four RBI and two runs scored in that span. Christian Vazquez will catch for Tatsuya Imai instead and bat ninth.
-
Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Returning to lineup
Correa (illness) will start at third base and bat sixth against the Mariners on Friday.
Correa missed the Astros' last two games while recovering from an illness. The 31-year-old had been trending upward prior to getting sick, going 7-for-26 (.269) with seven RBI and eight runs scored in his last seven games.

Corbin Carroll LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Expected back Saturday
Carroll (hip) will be available off the bench during Friday's game against the Phillies and is expected to return to the starting lineup Saturday, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.
Friday will mark the second consecutive absence for Carroll since he tweaked his hip Wednesday, but it doesn't seem like his period of inactivity will extend much further. Jorge Barrosa has been starting in right field with Carroll sidelined and has three hits in Arizona's last four games, but the latter's .333/.408/.690 slash line through 49 plate appearances is hard to replace.
