Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, one RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 11-0 win over the Pirates.

Ramirez reached base in his final three plate appearances, swiping a base in the seventh inning and adding an RBI double in the eighth. The 22-year-old has hit safely in six straight games to open the second half, tallying three multi-hit efforts, four doubles and five RBI during that span. While there are plenty of mouths to feed in the Cubs' lineup, Ramirez has slashed .295/.341/.449 with nine extra-base hits, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored and three steals across his first 86 major-league plate appearances to keep himself in the mix for regular playing time.

Woo (7-7) allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings to take the loss versus the Rangers on Saturday.

Woo surrendered all five runs over the first two innings. It's the fourth time in his last eight starts he's given up at least five runs as he continues to battle inconsistency on a week-to-week basis. The right-hander has a 4.37 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 114:24 K:BB through 115.1 innings over 20 outings this year. Woo's next start is projected to be at home versus the Twins.

The Red Sox acquired Mead from the Nationals on Saturday in exchange for Connelly Early (elbow), Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

The Red Sox have been looking for a bat to help lengthen their lineup, and they've opted to ship out a young starter in Early to address that need. The 25-year-old Mead has experienced a breakout season with Washington in 2026, slashing .256/.351/.505 with 17 homers, 48 RBI, 48 runs scored, six stolen bases and a 37:62 BB:K across 322 trips to the plate. It remains to be seen exactly who Boston plays where, but Mead and Caleb Durbin are likely to dominate the playing time between second and third base.

Pederson went 3-for-5 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Mariners.

Pederson has hit safely in his last six games, going 10-for-23 (.435) in that span. He made a rare start at first base to give Jake Burger a day off Saturday, but Pederson will see most of his playing time as a strong-side platoon option at designated hitter. The veteran slugger is batting .251 with an .833 OPS, 17 home runs, two steals, 36 RBI, 41 runs scored, 10 doubles and two triples across 93 contests this season.

Crow-Armstrong went 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, three RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 11-0 win over the Pirates.

Crow-Armstrong fell a triple shy of the cycle, driving in a run on a double in the fifth inning and smashing a two-run homer in the seventh. The 24-year-old started the second half a bit slow but has now hit safely in three of his past four games, posting six extra-base hits, six RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base during that span. For the year, he's slashing .291/.390/.544 with 23 home runs, 59 RBI, 70 runs scored and 26 steals across 455 plate appearances.

Eovaldi (10-8) allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out eight over seven innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Saturday.

Eovaldi had allowed 11 runs (10 earned) across 15 innings over his first three starts in July. He bounced back with a gem Saturday, never giving the Mariners much to work with as he threw 61 of 91 pitches for strikes. Eovaldi has maintained a 4.05 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 130:29 K:BB through 122.1 innings over 20 starts this season, and he's allowed one run or fewer in six of those games. The veteran right-hander is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Rays.

The Nationals acquired Early (elbow) from the Red Sox on Saturday in exchange for infielder Curtis Mead, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Early is currently on the 15-day injured list due to left elbow inflammation, but he's been throwing for the past week and is expected to head out on a rehab assignment in the near future. Boston had a surplus of starting pitchers and chose to ship out Early to address the team's need for added thump to the lineup. In the 24-year-old Early, the Nationals get a young arm who can occupy a spot in the rotation for years to come. Across 21 career MLB regular-season starts, Early has a 3.24 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 122:38 K:BB spanning 111 innings.

Bleday went 1-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in Saturday's 7-0 loss to the Cardinals.

Bleday has gone 12 games without a multi-hit effort, but he's hit safely in 10 of them. The outfielder has also swiped three bags in that span, accounting for half of his six steals this season. Bleday is batting .238 with an .821 OPS, 17 home runs, 44 RBI, 39 runs scored, 11 doubles and one triple over 75 contests. He's done enough to function as the Reds' starter in left field since he earned a call-up in late April.

Greene (2-2) allowed seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out three over 5.1 innings to take the loss versus the Cardinals on Saturday.

Greene has had a pair of quality starts and a pair of not-so-quality starts over his four outings since he returned from elbow surgery. The right-hander set a season low for strikeouts Saturday, and while he didn't give up a home run, the Cardinals had no trouble taking advantage of his mistakes. Greene is now at a 7.06 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB through 21.2 innings this season. He is projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates.

Burleson went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Reds.

Burleson alone matched the Reds' hit total in the contest. He has alternated three-hit efforts and hitless performances over his last seven games, going 12-for-29 (.414) with three RBI in that span. For the season, the 27-year-old is batting .285 with an .813 OPS, 15 home runs, 70 RBI, 55 runs scored, 25 doubles, one triple and three stolen bases across 103 games.
