  • Connor Joe RF | SEA

Mariners' Connor Joe: Optioned to Tacoma

The Mariners optioned Joe to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old joined the big-league club in mid-June after Randy Arozarena (hamstring) landed on the injured list, and Joe will be demoted Tuesday with Arozarena rejoining the active roster. Across his two stints in the majors this season, Joe has a .179/.289/.308 slash line with a homer and two steals in 21 games.

  • Spencer Steer 1B | CIN

Reds' Spencer Steer: Exiting starting nine

Steer is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Brewers.

Steer is in a 4-for-53 slump at the plate, though three of those hits were home runs. He'll get a day to regroup after starting each of the previous seven tilts. Noelvi Marte is in right field for the Reds and Edwin Arroyo will play second base.

  • Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Activated from injured list

The Mariners reinstated Arozarena (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

The veteran outfielder has been sidelined due to a left hamstring strain but is ready to rejoin the Mariners after spending the 10-day minimum on the shelf. Arozarena had a hot start to June prior to the injury, posting a .300/.404/.425 slash line with two doubles, a homer, four steals, seven RBI, seven runs and a 5:8 BB:K through his first 11 games of the month.

  • Tyler Callihan RF | PIT

Pirates' Tyler Callihan: Exiting starting lineup

Callihan is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Mariners.

The left-handed-swinging Callihan has been seeing regular reps in the outfield versus righty hurlers, but he'll begin this one on the bench as the Mariners send George Kirby to the bump. Marcell Ozuna is getting a start at designated hitter while Ryan O'Hearn plays right field.

  • Kyle Karros 3B | COL

Rockies' Kyle Karros: Taking seat Tuesday

Karros is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Red Sox.

Willi Castro will get the call at third base Tuesday while Edouard Julien covers second base. Karros boasts a 1.057 OPS over his last 10 games, but this will be his third day off during that stretch.

  • Cole Carrigg CF | COL

Rockies' Cole Carrigg: First day off

Carrigg is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

It's the first day off for Carrigg, who had started each of the Rockies' last 13 contests upon his promotion to the big leagues. Jake McCarthy will slide over to center field and will be flanked by Mickey Moniak in left field and Tyler Freeman in right field.

  • DL Hall RP | MIL

Brewers' DL Hall: Hopes to be cleared to throw

Hall (pectoral) hopes to gain clearance to resume throwing during a checkup Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Hall has been sidelined for most of June with a left pectoral strain, and he was given an anti-inflammatory injection last week. If the shot did its job, Hall should be ready to resume a throwing program. The southpaw is targeting a late-July return.

  • Brewers' Brandon Lockridge: Timeline pushed back

Lockridge's timeline for a return has been pushed back to late July after imaging showed a chondral flap in his right patella, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Lockridge landed on the 10-day injured list in early May with a right knee laceration, but subsequent testing revealed that he also has cartilage damage. He will have arthroscopic surgery on the knee and is now expected to be shelved until after the All-Star break.

  • Ernie Clement 2B | TOR

Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Hip remains bothersome

Clement is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros to manage his sore left hip, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Clement sat out of Friday's and Saturday's contests due to the injury before rejoining the lineup Monday and being scheduled to start Sunday, before that game was postponed. Manager John Schneider said he's "trying to get ahead of [the injury]" and provide the infielder some rest Tuesday since it's an afternoon game coming off a night game. Clement is still expected to be available off the bench while Luis Urias picks up a start at second base.

  • Coleman Crow SP | MIL

Brewers' Coleman Crow: Resuming mound work

Crow (forearm) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

It appears to be the first time Crow has thrown off the bump since he suffered a mild right flexor strain earlier this month. Crow should be ready for a rehab assignment before long, but he might be sent to Triple-A Nashville rather than rejoin the big-league club once he's deemed ready for activation.
