Outman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

Though he'll exit the lineup Wednesday while southpaw Trevor Rogers starts for the Orioles, Outman looks to be headed for a steep reduction in playing time versus righties, too. He headed to the bench Tuesday while righty Dean Kremer was on the bump for Baltimore, as Javier Baez picked up the start in center field in his return from the 60-day injured list. Baez figures to be prioritized in center field over Outman, who has a lowly .167/.211/.322 slash line over 34 games with Detroit, and top prospect Max Clark could enter the picture before the end of the year as well.

Keith is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

The left-handed-hitting Keith had started in each of the Tigers' last seven games, but he'll retreat to the bench Wednesday while southpaw Trevor Rogers takes the mound for the Orioles. Hao-Yu Lee will step in at third base for Keith and will bat third.

McKinstry is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

The Tigers will send the left-handed-hitting McKinstry to the bench while southpaw Trevor Rogers takes the hill for the Orioles in the series finale. Matt Vierling will draw the start in right field in McKinstry's stead and will bat eighth.

Dominguez went 2-for-3 with a run and a stolen base in a 3-2 win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Dominguez was the only Yankee to collect multiple hits in a game during which the team as a whole compiled just six knocks. It was the second straight two-hit performance for the young outfielder following an 11-game stretch without any multi-hit efforts. Dominguez continues to slot in regularly in right field for New York, but he's posted a modest .646 OPS with one homer, three RBI, seven runs and a 1:9 BB:K over 11 games since the All-Star break.

The Brewers optioned Stallings to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.

He's clearing off the roster to make space for Thomas Pannone, who will start Wednesday's game in San Francisco. Stallings has turned in five scoreless innings covering three appearances for the Brewers this season, so he should eventually get another opportunity.

Canning is slated to work as a bulk reliever in Wednesday's contest versus the Rockies at Petco Park.

Left-hander Kyle Hart will work as an opener ahead of Canning, in a repeat of the arrangement the last time Canning's turn in the rotation came up Thursday in Atlanta. Canning hasn't fared well this season, either as a traditional starter (6.79 ERA) or reliever (7.71 ERA), and with the trade deadline looming, his time to make a positive impression could be running out.

Mears (shoulder/lat) began throwing from 60 feet Monday, MLB.com reports.

Mears has been sidelined since May 29 due to a right shoulder impingement and has dealt with multiple setbacks in his recovery, including a July 10 scan that revealed a right lat strain. Resuming throwing is a positive step, though the right-hander still has many boxes to check before a return from the injured list becomes a realistic possibility. Prior to hitting the shelf, Mears posted a 5.12 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 15:11 K:BB across 19.1 innings.

Tena is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

After starting in each of the Nationals' previous five consecutive matchups with right-handed starters, Tena has now been left on the bench against righties Shane Bieber and Trey Yesavage for the final two tilts with Toronto. Rather than leaning Tena as their regular designated hitter, the Nationals may prefer to rotate a number of different players at that lineup spot.

Hart will serve as the Padres' opening pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Hart opened ahead of bulk reliever Griffin Canning in a game last week in Atlanta, and it's expected to be the same setup for Wednesday's contest. The lefty Hart has posted a 5.21 ERA and 33:12 K:BB across 38 innings for the Padres this season.

Drohan has been scratched from his scheduled outing Wednesday in San Francisco, as Milwaukee will call up Thomas Pannone from Triple-A Nashville to start the series finale, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The Brewers haven't revealed whether an injury or illness factored into the decision to push Drohan off the start, or if the team simply wanted to build in extra rest for the southpaw and the other four members of the rotation. In any case, those intending to use Drohan in DFS or activating him in season-long leagues with daily lineup moves should make alternative plans. Drohan hit six innings in each of his last four starts and went 2-2 with a 4.44 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB.
