Hart will serve as the Padres' opening pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Hart opened ahead of bulk reliever Griffin Canning in a game last week in Atlanta, and it's expected to be the same setup for Wednesday's contest. The lefty Hart has posted a 5.21 ERA and 33:12 K:BB across 38 innings for the Padres this season.

Drohan has been scratched from his scheduled outing Wednesday in San Francisco, as Milwaukee will call up Thomas Pannone from Triple-A Nashville to start the series finale, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The Brewers haven't revealed whether an injury or illness factored into the decision to push Drohan off the start, or if the team simply wanted to build in extra rest for the southpaw and the other four members of the rotation. In any case, those intending to use Drohan in DFS or activating him in season-long leagues with daily lineup moves should make alternative plans. Drohan hit six innings in each of his last four starts and went 2-2 with a 4.44 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB.

Witt (back) has begun ramping up his baseball activity, and how he responds over the next few days will determine whether he's activated from the injured list when first eligible Friday, per MLB.com.

Witt landed on the injured list for the first time in his big-league career July 22 due to tightness in his lower back. Early indications suggested there wasn't any cause for concern over a long-term absence, and the star shortstop remains on track to avoid a lengthy stay on the IL if he responds well to the increase in his baseball activity. In 94 games this season, Witt is slashing .279/.350/.450 with 13 homers, 39 RBI, 51 runs and 30 stolen bases.

High-A Vancouver placed Shaw on the 7-day injured list July 9 due to an unspecified injury.

Shaw didn't debut for Vancouver until June 7, after he opened the season on the 60-day injured list while recovering from a blood clot near his shoulder, which stemmed from thoracic outlet syndrome, per Steve Ewen of The Vancouver Province. The Blue Jays haven't revealed if Shaw's latest move to the IL is related to the blood clot or the result of a different injury. Shaw had fared well over about a month's worth of action at Vancouver, slashing .239/.427/.535 with six home runs and three stolen bases in 21 games.

White went 4-for-4 with two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Red Sox.

White was a hit machine, collecting four singles for the second time since being called up July 17. Through 10 games, the 23-year-old is slashing .359/.390/.410 in 41 plate appearances but has yet to record his first big-league RBI. With Zack Gelof (knee) and Joshua Kuroda-Grauer (groin) on the injured list, White appears to have a firm grip on a regular role at the hot corner.

Bolte went 2-for-3 with an RBI, a run scored, a steal and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Red Sox.

Bolte was active in the win, picking up a pair of hits and swiping his 12th bag of the season. It was a much-needed positive showing for the rookie, who hadn't recorded a multi-hit game since July 1 and entered Tuesday having gone 3-for-26 (.115) over his previous nine games since the All-Star break. Overall, Bolte is slashing .249/.328/.327 with three homers, 18 RBI and 20 runs scored across 64 contests.

Double-A New Hampshire placed Perry on the 7-day injured list Friday after he entered concussion protocol when he was struck in the head by a 104-mph line drive during his last start July 19, MLB.com reports.

Perry is expected to make a full recovery from the concussion, but he's considered week-to-week and will be without a clear timeline for a return until he's cleared to resume a throwing program. The 22-year-old righty has made stops across three minor-league levels in 2026, logging a 2.41 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 85:19 K:BB over 56 innings.

The Blue Jays recalled Dallas from Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Dallas will give the Blue Jays some length in the bullpen, if needed. He's allowed just one run with a 3:2 K:BB in 4.2 innings covering two relief outings for the Blue Jays this season and holds a 3.16 ERA and 56:20 K:BB across 57 frames with Buffalo.

The Blue Jays optioned Van Eyk to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Van Eyk threw 3.1 innings and 69 pitches out of the bullpen in Tuesday's loss to the Nationals, so he's being replaced by a fresh bullpen arm. Chad Dallas will come up from Buffalo to take Van Eyk's spot on the 26-man active roster.

Nardi (ribs) said Wednesday that he's about 2-to-3 weeks away from beginning a rehab assignment, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

It's unclear where Nardi is in his throwing program, but the reliever has progressed enough that he believes he's not far off from pitching in games. The lefty collected a 5.16 ERA and 27:11 K:BB over 22.2 innings before going down with a left ribcage stress reaction in late May.
