  • Dodgers' Josue De Paula: Sent to minor-league camp

De Paula was reassigned to the Dodgers' minor-league camp Sunday. De Paula was able to participate in his first major-league spring training with Los Angeles, batting an impressive .375 with a double, three RBI and four runs scored over 24 at-bats in 14 contests. The 20-year-old will now likely begin the 2026 campaign with Double-A Tulsa, which is where he finished the 2025 season.

  • Dodgers' Josue De Paula: Beginning ST with big-league club

De Paula will open spring training with the major-league team, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports. De Paula appeared in 98 games with High-A Great Lakes a season ago, slashing .261/.402/.414 with 12 home runs, 43 RBI, 32 stolen bases and 65 runs scored before getting a taste of Double-A Tulsa for four games. He'll get an opportunity to compete against big-league talent at least for the first part of camp before presumably getting ready to begin the 2026 campaign at Double-A.

  • Dodgers' Josue De Paula: Elevated to Double-A

The Dodgers promoted De Paula from High-A Great Lakes to Double-A Tulsa on Monday, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports. De Paula will be joined in Tulsa by one of the Dodgers' other top prospects in outfielder Zyhir Hope, who will also get bumped up from High-A. Over 426 plate appearances this season with Great Lakes, the 20-year-old De Paula slashed .263/.406/.421 with 12 home runs, 32 stolen bases, a 19 percent walk rate and a 20.2 percent strikeout rate.

  • Dodgers' Josue De Paula: Back at full strength

De Paula (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list Saturday. De Paula was shut down for a few weeks while dealing with an unspecified injury. He's appeared in two games at High-A Great Lakes since being reinstated, going 0-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts over this brief stretch.

  • Dodgers' Josue De Paula: Lands on IL at High-A

High-A Great Lakes placed De Paula on its 7-day injured list Saturday due to an unspecified injury. De Paula hadn't played since Wednesday before Great Lakes deactivated him three days later. The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the more exciting lower-level prospects in baseball this season, as he's displayed an impressive blend of power (21 extra-base hits), speed (27-for-33 on steal attempts) and on-base skills (19 percent walk rate) over 82 games for Great Lakes in addition to taking home All-Star Futures Game MVP honors earlier this month. The Dodgers haven't provided a timeline for his return to action.

  • Dodgers' Josue De Paula: Reassigned to minor-league camp

De Paula was reassigned to minor-league camp by the Dodgers on Sunday. De Paula went 4-for-9 with a double, three RBI, four runs scored, three stolen bases and three walks while striking out two times over eight games during spring training. The outfielder played in 52 games with High-A Great Lakes last season, batting .253 with four home runs, 21 RBI, 32 runs scored and 13 stolen bases over 178 at-bats, and he'll likely open the 2025 campaign by returning to Great Lakes.

  • Dodgers' Josue De Paula: Slow start for Quakes

De Paula is hitting .227 with zero home runs and a 27.3 percent strikeout rate in 24 games for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. Considering De Paula logged a 118 wRC+ in 74 games at Single-A last year, it's surprising to see him struggling to this extent (81 wRC+) in a return to the Cal League. He is 4-for-4 on stolen-base attempts and has eight doubles and two triples, but his strikeout rate is up from 17.9 percent last year and his walk rate is down from 13.5 percent to 9.1 percent.

  • Dodgers' Josue De Paula: As advertised at Single-A

De Paula is slashing .303/.374/.461 with one home run, three steals and a 13.1 percent strikeout rate in his last 22 games for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. The 6-foot-3 outfielder skipped over complex ball and was assigned directly to Single-A right after turning 18 in late May. He hit .138 with 10 strikeouts in his first eight games but has been as advertised since then. De Paula figures to eventually tap into at least plus power, so it's encouraging to see him laying the groundwork with a strong hit tool.

  • Dodgers' Josue De Paula: Leaps over complex ball

De Paula was assigned to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday. The Dodgers' best prospect with zero full-season experience entering the season, De Paula gets this assignment just days ahead of the Arizona Complex League opening. He is making the rare jump from the Dominican Summer League to Single-A without playing complex ball. The 6-foot-3 outfielder has massive power potential and showed a keen eye at the plate as a 17-year-old in the DSL (31:32 K:BB in 53 games).
