Rooker went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Giants.

Rooker made things interesting with an eighth-inning blast off Caleb Kilian, but the Giants were able to prevent further damage. This was Rooker's third homer in his last nine games, a span in which he's batting .303 (10-for-33) with nine RBI. Overall, he's hitting .204 with a .679 OPS, six long balls, 21 RBI, 10 runs scored, two stolen bases and two doubles over 29 contests this season. The 31-year-old is locked in as the Athletics' preferred designated hitter, though he'll also get some time in left field.

Severino (2-5) allowed five runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Giants.

Casey Schmitt delivered two home runs and three RBI in this contest, accounting for the majority of the damage on Severino's line. This was a third straight loss for Severino, though it's the first one he's truly deserved in that span -- he had allowed just five runs in total over 24 innings across his previous four starts. The veteran right-hander is now at a 4.45 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 54:31 K:BB through 54.2 innings over 10 starts. He's projected for a road outing against the Angels in his next outing, which is a favorable matchup.

Adames went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.

Adames has turned things around lately with six multi-hit efforts over his last nine games. He's gone 15-for-39 (.385) in that span, though just three of those hits have gone for extra bases. The shortstop is batting .235 with a .628 OPS, three home runs, 13 RBI, 15 runs scored, 14 doubles and a stolen base over 45 contests. Adames is a three-time 30-homer man, but he needs to convert some of those two-baggers into over-the-wall power. to get close to that production again.

Antonacci went 2-for-4 with two runs scored Saturday against the Cubs.

Antonacci led the first and fifth innings with a single and came around to score each time. He has led off 10 straight games against right-handed pitching, and he's hit .300 with nine runs scored and three stolen bases in that span. After a slow start to his big-league career, Antonacci is emerging as a strong fantasy contributor in batting average (.284), runs scored (16) and stolen bases (three) through 28 career games.

Schmitt went 4-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.

Schmitt took Luis Severino deep twice, hitting a solo shot in the first inning and adding a two-run blast in the fifth. After an 0-for-9 run over his previous three games, this was a good bounce-back performance for Schmitt, who is in a tough playing time battle. The Giants' lineup has often come down to Schmitt or Bryce Eldridge at designated hitter, and while Schmitt is a right-handed batter, he has played well enough to avoid settling for platoon work so far. He's now batting .293 with an .878 OPS, eight homers, 21 RBI, 19 runs scored, three stolen bases, eight doubles and a triple over 38 contests. The utility man can also get into the lineup when the Giants' regular infielders need a day off, so there should be plenty of at-bats for him as long as he continues to play well.

Berroa (elbow) was pulled from his rehab outing with the ACL White Sox after only four pitches Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Berroa is returning from Tommy John surgery, but he was pulled in his first rehab outing after throwing four consecutive balls. The White Sox haven't specified that the current issue is an aggravation of his elbow injury, but he isn't likely to return until at least late June or early July at this point.

Miller allowed two runs on two walks and struck out one over two-thirds of an inning in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.

Miller got the nod for a high-leverage spot in relief of starter Trevor McDonald in the seventh inning. He did fine there, but he struggled when staying on to begin the eighth. He walked two batters, and Caleb Kilian allowed both of them to score on a Brent Rooker homer. Miller was activated from the IL on Saturday, as he missed a minimal amount of time due to a back strain and now appears set to compete for late-inning work with Kilian in the near term. Over 13 appearances this season, Miller has a 4.50 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB across 12 innings.

Gage pitched a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.

Gage has seen some high-leverage work this season, earning five holds and a 3-1 record over 23 appearances. This was his first major-league save, and it came after Erik Miller and Caleb Kilian were both called on for high-leverage spots in earlier frames. Through 19.1 innings this season, Gage has a 1.40 ERA, though his 1.14 WHIP and 13:11 K:BB paint a less dominant picture of his work. He may not be a regular for closing duties, but he should continue to pitch in the late innings at times, as long as he doesn't slump.

McCarthy went 2-for-3 with an RBI on Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

McCarthy singled in a run in the second inning and stole his eighth base of the season five frames later after reaching base on a single. He remains on the strong side of a platoon playing primarily in left field, and he has at least one hit in eight of his last 11 appearances. In that span, McCarthy has gone 10-for-30 with 10 RBI, four runs scored and two stolen bases.

McDonald (2-0) allowed one run on five hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out five over 6.2 innings to earn the win Saturday over the Athletics.

McDonald has shown the ability to provide length early in his stay in the majors, which could help him stick around even when Logan Webb (knee) is healthy, though McDonald's status is not guaranteed. Through three starts with the Giants this season, McDonald has a 2.37 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB over 19 innings. His role could get some clarity in the near future with Webb eligible to be reinstated from the injured list next week.
