Santillan pitched a perfect ninth Tuesday, striking out two Phillies to get his second save of the season.

That makes two scoreless outings in a row for Santillan, who previously went through a brutal stretch in which he allowed at least one homer in four consecutive games. The Reds are going with the lukewarm hand right now as their closer, grasping at straws to find anyone to stabilize the back end of their bullpen, and they'll Santillan every chance to regain his early-season form -- he sported a 1.98 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB in 13.2 innings at the end of April.

Suarez did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Royals, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out three over 4.1 innings.

Suarez had to grind through a difficult 32-pitch first inning that accounted for Kansas City's only run of the night, but he settled in nicely afterward, holding the Royals hitless over the next three frames. In the fifth inning, he allowed back-to-back hits that led to his exit, though at just 81 pitches it appeared Boston was once again being cautious with the left-hander following his recent hamstring issues. Had he been able to complete the fifth inning, he would have been in line for the win. Suarez has now allowed just one run over his last 21.2 innings, lowering his season line to a 2.40 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB across 48.2 innings. He's scheduled to face Atlanta in his next start.

Marte went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Giants.

Marte had gone 16 games without a homer entering Tuesday. He was 0-for-4 before coming to bat in the ninth inning, when he delivered the walk-off blast against Matt Gage. Marte struggled early in May, but he's gone 10-for-37 (.270) while hitting safely in seven of his last nine games. The second baseman is batting .222 with a .655 OPS, six homers, 20 RBI, 24 runs scored, six doubles, two triples and no stolen bases over 44 contests this season.

Nelson allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Tuesday.

Nelson has worked into the seventh inning in each of his last three outings. He's given up seven runs with an 18:3 K:BB over that span, though he's also allowed four home runs, including two in Tuesday's contest. The right-hander is now at a 5.19 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 46:16 K:BB through 52 innings over 10 starts this season. He'll look to keep his streak of quality starts going at home over the weekend against the Rockies.

Lopez pitched 3.2 innings against the Angels on Tuesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two batters in a no-decision.

Lopez was given a 6-0 lead after a big top of the third inning by the Athletics' offense. However, the southpaw gave a run back in the bottom of that frame on a Mike Trout homer, and then allowed four straight batters to reach base with two outs in the fourth -- resulting in three runs -- before being pulled. The early exit cost Lopez a chance at a victory in what turned out to be a 14-6 final score in favor of the A's. Lopez had shown some signs of improvement in his previous two starts, giving up four combined earned runs over 10.1 frames, but he still has an ugly 6.14 ERA on the season. His next start is projected to be a road matchup in San Diego.

Duran went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI against Colorado on Tuesday in a 10-0 win.

Duran made another start at shortstop in place of the injured Corey Seager (back) before shifting over to third base late in the game. The utility man opened the scoring with a two-run double in the first inning and added another two-run double to cap the scoring in the eighth. Duran has gone 6-for-9 with six RBI over his past two games and is hitting .308 with two homers, six doubles, 11 runs, 13 RBI and a stolen base through 17 contests in May.

Pederson went 4-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI in Tuesday's 10-0 victory versus Colorado.

Pederson didn't start Tuesday, but he entered the game in the second inning as a pinch hitter for Andrew McCutchen. Pederson finished the contest and ended up with a season-high four hits -- one more than he had tallied over his previous 20 at-bats combined. The veteran DH is slashing .236/.356/.355 with three home runs, four doubles, 15 runs and 11 RBI through 135 plate appearances on the campaign.

Turang went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Turang continued his strong 2026 campaign by launching a two-run homer off Trent Thornton in the eighth inning to cap off a three-hit night. The blast was his seventh of the season, and the three-hit performance marked his fifth such game of the year. Over his last 20 contests, Turang is batting 23-for-72 (.319) with an outstanding .424 OBP as he continues to reach base at an elite clip. The second baseman is now batting .292 with a .910 OPS, 10 doubles, 29 RBI, 39 runs scored and nine stolen bases across 198 plate appearances.

Nimmo went 3-for-4 with a home run, three total runs and three total RBI in a 10-0 win against the Rockies on Tuesday.

Nimmo notched a run-scoring single in the second inning and drove in two more runs with a 425-foot homer in the fourth. The outfielder finished with three hits for the fourth time this season and knocked in three runs for the second time. Nimmo's big night may have broken him out of a slump that saw him go 1-for-20 at the plate over his previous five games coming into Tuesday.

Gordon pitched 6.1 innings in bulk relief Tuesday, giving up seven runs on 12 hits and one walk while striking out five batters in a no-decision against Texas.

Tuesday marked Gordon's second straight extended relief outing, though his previous appearance -- which lasted four frames -- came as the result of an early injury to Chase Dollander (elbow). By contrast, Gordon's outing Tuesday was a planned bulk-relief appearance, and though he gave the Rockies plenty of length, the right-hander was rocked for a season-worst seven runs. Gordon managed to avoid the loss since opener Sammy Peralta was charged with two runs over his two-thirds of an inning of work, but the former was essentially asked to take one for the team in a game that Colorado lost 10-0. It remains to be seen what Gordon's role will be moving forward. The Rockies have an open rotation spot due to Dollander's injury, but it's not a given that Gordon will be asked to take up that role (either as a starter or a bulk reliever) given his ugly 6.59 ERA on the campaign.
