Higashioka went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Angels.

Higashioka got a run back with his seventh-inning blast, but the Rangers couldn't build a rally. The catcher has three homers this season, and two of them have come over his last four games. He's batting just .215 with a .621 OPS, nine RBI, eight runs scored and no stolen bases over 86 plate appearances. Higashioka and Danny Jansen continue to split the catching duties fairly evenly, though Jansen has a slight edge.

Eovaldi (5-5) allowed three runs on five hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out six over seven innings to take the loss versus the Angels on Saturday.

Eovaldi has eaten innings lately -- he's covered at least seven frames in each of his last four starts, allowing just four runs across 29 innings in that span. The veteran right-hander got off to a bumpy start in 2026, but he's mostly turned things around, though he saw his three-start winning streak snapped Saturday. He's at a 3.65 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 61:14 K:BB through 61.2 innings across 10 starts this season. Eovaldi is lined up to make his next start at home versus the Astros.

Trout went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Trout set the tone early with a first-inning blast, and the Angels never trailed in this contest. The outfielder has gone 6-for-24 (.250) with two homers, four RBI and six walks over his last seven games. For the season, Trout is batting just .239, but he has an .897 OPS, 13 homers, 27 RBI, 39 runs scored, five stolen bases and eight doubles over 52 contests. His power pace would put him on track to challenge for 40 homers if he manages to stay healthy for the full season.

Yates struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Yates was the early favorite for the closer role with the Angels, but a knee injury kept him out until early May. The right-hander was eased back into action in low-leverage spots, and the Angels' overall poor performance has led to limited save opportunities. Yates squandered his first chance at a save Wednesday versus the Athletics, but he bounced back with a scoreless outing Thursday before getting the save Saturday. He's pitched to a 4.26 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB through 6.1 innings this season. Ryan Zeferjahn is the only other pitcher on the roster to have a save for the Angels in 2026 -- Jordan Romano had four before he was designated for assignment in late April. Yates is likely the lead candidate for saves moving forward thanks to his past experience as a closer, though he could face increased competition once Ben Joyce (shoulder) is ready to make his season debut.

Urena (2-4) allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out six over five innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Urena has gone at least five innings in all five of his starts in May, allowing a total of five runs with a 23:12 K:BB across 27 innings. He had some shaky moments early in the season, but it looks like the 22-year-old right-hander is starting to settle in. He's at a 2.58 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 36:22 K:BB through 38.1 innings over nine games (seven starts). Urena will need to continue working on getting the walk rate in check, as it could come back to bite him as major-league hitters start to figure him out. His next start is projected to be on the road versus the Rays.

Johnston went 2-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Johnston had gone 29 games without a steal entering this contest. He's gone even longer (39 games) without a home run, but he's hit consistently enough to stay in the Rockies' lineup, primarily as a strong-side platoon option in the corner-outfield spots. On the year, he's hitting .323 with an .827 OPS, two homers, two steals, 23 RBI, 19 runs scored and 13 doubles across 48 contests.

Rumfield went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Rumfield's blast got the Rockies within a run in the eighth inning, but they failed to tie the game. The first baseman has gone 14-for-36 (.389) with two homers and six RBI over his last 11 games, and he's added a 5:4 BB:K in that span as his plate discipline continues to trend up. Rumfield is hitting .289 with an .819 OPS, seven homers, 27 RBI, 22 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple and no stolen bases over his first 52 games in the majors.

Lorenzen (2-7) allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Diamondbacks.

Lorenzen took his fifth straight loss, three of which have come on the road. The veteran right-hander has surrendered 25 runs (24 earned) over 25 innings in that span, though he was able to limit both walks and home runs to one apiece Saturday. For the season, he's at an awful 7.21 ERA with a 1.90 WHIP and 41:18 K:BB through 53.2 innings over 12 outings (11 starts). Lorenzen is tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Giants. His 10.03 ERA in five home starts this season makes him a pure fade even against the worst offense in the majors.

Marte went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Rockies.

Marte's power has come back in a big way this week with three homers over his last five games. This was his sixth multi-hit effort over his last nine contests, a span in which he's batting .432 (16-for-37) with six extra-base hits and nine RBI. The second baseman is batting .251 with a .748 OPS, eight homers, 24 RBI, 29 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples and no stolen bases over 48 contests while regularly hitting out of the leadoff spot.

Sewald struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Rockies.

Sewald has three saves and a win over his last four outings, a span where he's logged four scoreless innings and a 3:1 K:BB. The closer is clicking, aside from a handful of shaky outings, which have mainly come in non-save situations. He's posted a 3.72 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB while converting 12 of his 13 save opportunities over 19.1 innings this season.
