Caglianone went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Twins.

Caglianone gave Kansas City the lead in the third inning with a 438-foot blast off Bailey Ober, his 17th homer of the season and first since July 19. Caglianone has logged two hits in back-to-back contests after going 0-for-18 in his previous six games. Overall, the 23-year-old is slashing .254/.313/.455 with 40 RBI and 47 runs scored across 390 plate appearances this year.

Sanoja isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets.

Sanoja will take a seat Thursday after going 1-for-7 with two walks, a run scored and a steal during Miami's last series against Philadelphia. Graham Pauley will start at third base and bat eighth while Sanoja sits for the series opener in Queens.

Clemens went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Thursday's 4-3 victory over the Royals.

Down to his final strike, Clemens launched a Matt Strahm slider over the right-field fence for a grand slam, giving the Twins an improbable 4-3 victory. It was Clemens' 19th homer of the season, matching his career high, and his fifth off a left-handed pitcher. The 30-year-old, who got the start in right field Thursday, has gone 10-for-33 (.303) over his last eight games, boosting his slash line to .244/.300/.493 across 382 plate appearances this year with 53 RBI, 51 runs scored and seven stolen bases.

Ober did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Royals, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out three.

Both of the earned runs allowed by Ober came on a Jac Caglianone homer in the third inning, the first long ball that the right-hander has given up in his last three starts. Still, it was a strong outing overall for Ober, as he logged his first quality start in his last seven outings. For this season, Ober is 7-3 with a 4.45 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 63:24 K:BB across 16 starts (87 innings). He's tentatively in line to face the Royals again on the road his next time out.

Cameron allowed just one hit and two walks across eight scoreless innings in a no-decision Thursday against the Twins. He struck out seven.

Cameron was nearly perfect Thursday, as he held the Twins without a hit through six innings before Ryan Jeffers led off the seventh with a single. Cameron has now held opponents scoreless in back-to-back starts, allowing just three hits across 13 frames in that span. The southpaw has lowered his ERA to 4.59 across 115.2 innings this season with a 1.34 WHIP and 107:39 K:BB. Cameron will look to keep rolling in his next outing, tentatively scheduled as a rematch with Minnesota next week at home.

Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said Thursday that Jung's recovery from a left calf strain has "not trended in the right direction," Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The Rangers were hopeful that Jung would be ready for activation from the 10-day injured list when first eligible Saturday, but that's not going to happen. Schumaker noted that Jung's progress, or lack thereof, is "kind of at a standstill right now." With Corey Seager (back) slated to return from the IL on Friday, Ezequiel Duran will shift over from shortstop to handle third base until Jung is ready.

Riley is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Nationals.

Riley had started to heat up around the All-Star break, but he's just 6-for-37 with a 2:20 BB:K over his last 10 games. Mauricio Dubon will handle third-base duties while Riley gets a day to clear his head.

Young is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Marlins.

It marks two straight games on the bench for Young, though the first of those was the second game of a doubleheader. Brett Baty is covering first base for the Mets in the series opener versus Miami.

Dunn will undergo surgery on his right elbow Monday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Dunn has been on the shelf since late June due to a right elbow sprain, and he suffered a setback last week shortly before he was scheduled to begin a rehab assignment. The Reds haven't given an updated timeline for the 27-year-old's return, though his procedure will almost certainly rule him out for the remainder of the season. Dane Myers figures to continue working as Cincinnati's primary center fielder while ceding an occasional start to TJ Friedl.

Lodolo (finger) is scheduled to throw live batting practice Friday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Lodolo is expected to throw roughly two or three innings during Friday's session, marking his first time facing live hitters since landing on the injured list July 12 with a finger blister. Lodolo has been experimenting with a new grip for his breaking ball in an effort to minimize the risk of future blister problems, and he hasn't had any issues to this point with the new grip. He could require a rehab start in the minors before rejoining Cincinnati's rotation, though the Reds haven't confirmed any plans beyond Friday just yet.
