Sale (8-5) took the loss Wednesday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six over 5.2 innings.

Sale turned in another great performance, throwing 66 of his 103 pitches for strikes while generating 13 whiffs. Both runs he allowed came in the fourth inning, and he exited in the sixth having received no run support from Atlanta's offense. While the veteran left-hander continues to pitch at an elite level, he has now failed to complete six innings in three straight starts after reaching that mark in nine of his first 10 outings this season. Through 78.1 innings, Sale ranks top six among qualified starters in MLB in ERA (2.30), strikeouts (92) and wins. The 37-year-old is currently lined up to face San Francisco in his next start.

Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Angels.

Smith had gone 10 games without a homer before lifting a solo shot off Chase Silseth in the eighth inning to tie the game at 2-2. During that power drought, Smith still had three extra-base hits and four RBI. The outfielder has endured a bit of a sophomore slump in 2026, batting .220 with a .675 OPS, seven homers, 26 RBI, 27 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 69 contests. While his numbers aren't particularly impressive, he continues to handle a starting role in right field.

Peraza went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Astros.

Peraza tried his best to manufacture a run after his seventh-inning single, but he was left stranded. He's maintained decent stats at the plate in June, going 8-for-36 (.222) with two extra-base hits, six RBI and three steals over nine contests this month. On the season, he's been a bit better, hitting .267 with a .755 OPS, seven home runs, nine steals, 21 RBI, 19 runs scored, eight doubles and two triples across 63 games.

O'Hoppe went 2-for-2 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Astros.

O'Hoppe was the only player from either team to log a multi-hit effort in the game. That included his fifth-inning blast, which briefly put the Angels ahead 2-0. The catcher is batting .255 with two homers and eight RBI over his last 15 contests. For the season, he's hitting just .212 with a .606 OPS, three long balls, 16 RBI, 16 runs scored and five doubles over 155 plate appearances.

Trout went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Astros.

Trout is still looking for his first multi-hit effort in June. He has gone 10 games since his last such performance and has gone 5-for-38 (.132 average) with 16 strikeouts during that span. He's up to 15 long balls, six steals, 32 RBI, 50 runs scored and 10 doubles while batting .224 with an .843 OPS over 68 games on the year.

Detmers allowed one run on one hit and struck out nine without walking a batter in a no-decision versus the Astros on Wednesday.

Detmers was perfect through five innings before Shay Whitcomb led off the sixth with a solo shot. After a shaky May, Detmers has locked in this month, allowing just one run on three hits and two walks while striking out 15 over 13 frames in June. He's now at a 4.00 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 97:24 K:BB through 81 innings over 14 starts this season. The southpaw will look to keep things rolling in a road start versus Arizona next week.

Sanchez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.

Sanchez collected his second multi-hit effort in a row. It's also his second straight game with a homer after he went 27 contests between long balls, during which he had a .576 OPS. The backup catcher is batting .219 with an .845 OPS, seven homers, 19 RBI, 20 runs scored, four doubles, one triple and no stolen bases over 130 plate appearances this season. While his power looks to be coming back, Sanchez is no real threat to William Contreras' playing time.

Chourio went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.

Chourio went deep for his second homer in as many games. The outfielder has collected six multi-hit efforts over 10 games in June, batting .386 (17-for-44) this month. He's up to six homers, 20 RBI, 24 runs scored, five stolen bases and 11 doubles while hitting .304 with an .872 OPS across 32 contests this season.

Sproat allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Wednesday.

Sproat was able to navigate Las Vegas Ballpark with little trouble, with the lone run on his line being an Alika Williams solo shot in the sixth inning. This was just the second quality start of the year for Sproat, who had given up at least three runs in each of his previous five starts. For the season, he's at a 5.70 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 57:30 K:BB across 13 appearances (11 starts). Sproat is likely to get another turn through the rotation while the Brewers wait for Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) and Logan Henderson (back) to get healthy. That outing is tentatively projected to come at home versus the Guardians.

Williams went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Brewers.

Williams was playing in his 99th major-league Wednesday and finally clubbed his first homer, a sixth-inning blast off Brandon Sproat. Since he was traded from the Pirates on May 16, Williams has appeared in 16 games, batting .212 with a .599 OPS, four RBI, four runs scored, two doubles and no stolen bases over 35 plate appearances. He's part of a three-man battle for two spots in the lineup on the left side of the infield right now -- Williams has started six of the last eight games at shortstop but could cede some time to Max Muncy, who was activated from the injured list Monday after recovering from a broken hand. Zack Gelof's usage at third base is likely to impact Muncy's playing time, which could trickle down to Williams depending on who's got the hot bat.
