Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Moved to 10-day injured list
The Cubs placed Suzuki (knee) on the 10-day injured list Wednesday.
Suzuki was diagnosed with a strained PCL in his right knee after hurting himself while playing for Team Japan in the World Baseball Classic. He resumed baseball activities last week and is not expected to be sidelined long. Michael Conforto should get the bulk of the reps in right field for the Cubs while Suzuki is out.

Blake Walston SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Blake Walston: Back on 60-day IL to open season
Arizona placed Walston (elbow) on the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
Walston will open a second consecutive season on the 60-day injured list after he was shelved throughout the 2025 campaign after undergoing Tommy John surgery March 26 of last year. Per Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com, Walston was spotted throwing off flat ground Feb. 10, but it's unclear if the southpaw has progressed to mound work since then. In any case, Walston will be out for at least the first two months of the 2026 campaign while he continues to build back up following surgery.

Guardians' Andrew Walters: Moves to injured list
The Guardians placed Walters (lat) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
The right-hander is working his way back from last year's lat surgery and has progressed to throwing live bullpen sessions. Walters will need at least a handful of rehab games before being cleared to make his season debut for the Guardians.

Cristian Mena SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Cristian Mena: Opening season on 60-day IL
The Diamondbacks placed Mena (shoulder) on the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
Mena didn't pitch after June 6 last season after straining his right shoulder and had received a clean bill of health heading into spring training before aggravating the injury early in camp. The right-hander remains shut down from throwing and will now be shelved for at least the first two months of the season while he continues to rehab the injury.

Andrew Kittredge RP | BAL
Orioles' Andrew Kittredge: Out with shoulder inflammation
The Orioles placed Kittredge (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Kittredge developed right shoulder inflammation in early March. He will be eligible for activation April 6, and at last check the Orioles were expecting him to be ready to go on that date. Once healthy, Kittredge will fill a setup role.

Merrill Kelly SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Merrill Kelly: Officially moved to IL
The Diamondbacks placed Kelly on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to left intercostal nerve irritation.
While Kelly won't be part of the Arizona's Opening Day rotation, he may need to miss only two or three turns before making his 2026 debut. Despite being set back by the injury in camp, Kelly was able to make three starts during spring training and most recently covered 52 pitches and two-plus innings Monday. He's expected to build on that workload in a rehab start with Triple-A Reno on April 3 and is tentatively scheduled for another minor-league tuneup outing April 8 before likely returning from the IL thereafter.

Edwin Uceta RP | TB
Rays' Edwin Uceta: Sent to 15-day injured list
The Rays placed Uceta (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Uceta came down with a right shoulder impingement in February. He resumed mound work in mid-March but still has some building up to do. Uceta has not pitched in a game since last season, so he will require a few rehab appearances once he's deemed game-ready.

Drew Thorpe P | CHW
White Sox's Drew Thorpe: Lands on 15-day injured list
The White Sox placed Thorpe (elbow) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Thorpe had Tommy John surgery last April and encountered a setback in February when he developed tendinitis in his elbow. He's been throwing off the mound for a few weeks, however, and should be ready for a rehab assignment soon. Still, given the long layoff, Thorpe is a candidate to be shifted to the 60-day IL eventually.
