Konnor Pilkington RP | DET
Tigers' Konnor Pilkington: Sent to minor-league camp
The Tigers reassigned Pilkington to minor-league camp Wednesday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Pilkington inked a minor-league deal in February that included an invitation to spring training, but he'll begin the 2026 season in Triple-A. The 28-year-old left-hander appeared in 32 games out of the Nationals' bullpen last season, registering a 4.45 ERA and 34:17 K:BB across 28.1 innings.

Tanner Rainey RP | DET
Tigers' Tanner Rainey: Cut from big-league camp
The Tigers reassigned Rainey to minor-league camp Wednesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Rainey yielded just one earned run over 7.2 innings during the Grapefruit League, but his shiny 1.17 ERA was accompanied by an unsightly 6:6 BB:K. The 33-year-old reliever previously saved 12 games for the Nationals in 2022, but he's struggled to find his footing in the majors since undergoing Tommy John surgery that same year. Between his stops with Pittsburgh and Detroit last season, Rainey surrendered 12 earned runs on eight hits and nine walks in 9.2 innings.

Jack Little P | DET
Tigers' Jack Little: Denied spot on Opening Day roster
The Tigers reassigned Little to minor-league camp Wednesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Little was one of five non-roster invitees cut Wednesday as the Tigers move closer to setting their Opening Day roster. The 28-year-old righty is expected to report to Triple-A Toledo, where he'll likely spend most of the 2026 season. Little reached the majors in 2025for the first time as a member of the Dodgers, making two relief appearances and yielding two earned runs over three innings.

Scott Effross RP | DET
Tigers' Scott Effross: Cut from camp competition
The Tigers reassigned Effross (oblique) to minor-league camp Wednesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Effross made three Grapefruit League appearances before his bid for a spot in the Tigers' Opening Day bullpen effectively ended after he was shut down just over a week ago due to a left oblique strain. If he's not cleared to face hitters by the time minor-league camp ends this weekend, Effross could begin the season on Triple-A Toledo's injured list.

Brian Navarreto C | MIA
Marlins' Brian Navarreto: Headed to minor-league camp
The Marlins reassigned Navarreto to minor-league camp Wednesday.
Navarreto received 15 plate appearances over eight games with the Marlins in 2025, but he was never expected to have much of a shot at breaking camp with the big club so long as the team's top two backstops, Agustin Ramirez and Liam Hicks, were both available heading into Opening Day. The 31-year-old Navarreto will presumably open the campaign at Triple-A Jacksonville.

Jake Rogers C | DET
Tigers' Jake Rogers: Sustains concussion
Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Wednesday that Rogers recently sustained a mild concussion but is expected to be ready to go for Opening Day, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Rogers had been expected to be available off the bench for Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates but won't play after suffering the head injury when he was struck in the face with the bat during a swing in the batting cage. The veteran backstop required stitches to address some superficial injuries, but clearing the concussion protocol will be the main concern for Rogers leading up to Opening Day. If he doesn't progress as quickly as anticipated or suffers a setback, non-roster invitee Tomas Nido could be included on the Opening Day squad as a backup option behind No. 1 catcher Dillon Dingler.

Daniel Johnson CF | HOU
Marlins' Daniel Johnson: Sent to minors camp
The Marlins reassigned Johnson to minor-league camp Wednesday.
Johnson inked a minor-league pact that included an invitation to spring training over the winter. The 30-year-old appeared in 31 regular-season games for the Orioles and Giants last season and hit .189 with a .548 OPS across 57 plate appearances.

Robby Snelling SP | MIA
Marlins' Robby Snelling: Reassigned to minor-league camp
The Marlins reassigned Snelling to minor-league camp Wednesday.
A top pitching prospect, Snelling was trying to push Janson Junk and Braxton Garrett for a spot in the Marlins' rotation this spring. The 22-year-old Snelling, however, will have to wait to make his MLB debut. In four appearances this spring, the left-hander logged a 7.56 ERA but dazzled with 13 strikeouts across 8.1 innings of work. Snelling seems likely to be with the Marlins at some point during the 2026 campaign after turning in a 2.51 ERA and 11.0 K/9 across 136 minor-league innings last season.

Scott Blewett RP | STL
Cardinals' Scott Blewett: Denied spot on Opening Day roster
The Cardinals reassigned Blewett to minor-league camp Wednesday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Blewett had been attending spring training as a non-roster invitee, but he made a spirited run at a spot in the Cardinals' Opening Day bullpen after submitting a 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB in six Grapefruit League innings. With Blewett now officially out of the mix for a roster berth, Rule 5 pick Matt Pushard and offseason trade acquisition George Soriano should have better odds of breaking camp with the big club.

Logan Henderson SP | MIL
Brewers' Logan Henderson: Set for appearance Friday
Henderson (elbow) is scheduled to throw 2-to-3 innings in a spring training appearance Friday, Sophia Minnaert of FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin reports.
The Brewers haven't specified whether Henderson will pitch in their Cactus League game against the Diamondbacks that day, or if he'll pitch on the back fields of camp during a minor-league game. Regardless, Henderson seems to have moved past the mild right elbow soreness he experienced last week, so it still looks like he has a chance to break camp as a member of the Milwaukee rotation. Henderson shined in his first taste of the big leagues in 2025, logging a 1.78 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 33:8 K:BB over 25.1 innings in five starts before being diagnosed with a right flexor strain in early August that ended his season.
