Manager Warren Schaeffer said Sunday that Rumfield has secured a spot on the Rockies' Opening Day roster, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Rumfield had been attending camp as a non-roster invitee but will wind up breaking camp with the big club after slashing .286/.368/.531 with four home runs and one stolen base across his 57 plate appearances in Cactus League play. The Rockies will officially add Rumfield to the active roster shortly before Friday's season opener in Miami. Though Schaeffer didn't specifically outline what Rumfield's role will look like, the 25-year-old should be in line for regular starts at first base to begin the season, at least against right-handed pitching. The right-handed-hitting Kyle Karros could be a candidate to spell the left-handed-hitting Rumfield when the Rockies face southpaws.

Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's Grapefruit league finale against the Astros.

Walker's first and only home run this spring went 413 feet and was measured at 111.3 mph off the bat. He also contributed a single that exited his bat at 106.5 mph. While he finished spring training on a high note, it's been a disappointing camp for Walker on the whole, as he hit only .205 with a 3:16 BB:K over 47 plate appearances. The 23-year-old will open 2026 as the Cardinals' everyday right fielder and should be offered some leash during the club's rebuilding season.

Lodolo was removed from Sunday's Grapefruit League start against the Guardians due to a blister on his left index finger, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

The left-hander allowed two runs on a walk and a two-run homer before exiting the contest without recording an out. It's a concerning development in Lodolo's final outing before the regular season, especially given that he's had blister issues in the past. It's possible that the Reds could be pulling him early as a precautionary measure. Lodolo, who is penciled in to start the second game of the season, March 28 against Boston, should be considered day-to-day for now, with his status likely to be updated in the next day or two.

Sullivan beat out Braxton Fulford for the Rockies' backup catcher gig during spring training. The Rockies are expected to formally select Sullivan's contract Friday, when the team sets its final roster ahead of the season opener in Miami. Sullivan split time between the Padres and Pirates organizations in 2025, seeing action in only three games in the majors while slashing .207/.264/.325 with four home runs and six stolen bases across 295 plate appearances at the Triple-A level. He's expected to play sparingly behind top backstop Hunter Goodman.

McGreevy yielded one run on three hits and no walks over five innings in Sunday's Grapefruit League start versus the Astros. He recorded five strikeouts.

He served up a solo home run to Taylor Trammell, but that was the lone run the Astros were able to push across against the righty. McGreevy finished spring training with a 2.45 ERA and 16:2 K:BB over 18.1 innings, but his velocity has been down across the board. He averaged 90.8 mph with his four-seamer Sunday, down significantly from the 93 mph he averaged with the pitch in 2025. It's possible McGreevy will start throwing harder once the bright lights are on, but the lack of velocity is concerning for a hurler who's already had difficulty missing bats. McGreevy will make his season debut Saturday at home against the Rays.

The Rockies reassigned Machin to minor-league camp Thursday.

Machin will likely begin the season at Triple-A Albuquerque after he was unable to win a utility spot on the Rockies' Opening Day roster. The 32-year-old resurfaced in the majors for the first time since 2022 as a member of the Orioles organization last season, appearing in four games and going 1-for-11 with a solo home run.

The Rockies reassigned Stevens to minor-league camp Sunday.

Stevens is expected to open the season at Triple-A Albuquerque after he was unable to win a bench role with the Rockies coming out of spring training. The 27-year-old made his big-league debut with the Angels in 2025, appearing in five games while going 2-for-13 at the dish.

The Rockies reassigned Mushinski to minor-league camp Sunday.

Per Thomas Harding of MLB.com, Mushinski will exercise the release clause in his minor-league deal with the Rockies, allowing him to explore his options in free agency. The 30-year-old lefty saw big-league action with the Astros in parts of three seasons from 2022 through 2024 but spent the entire 2025 campaign at Triple-A Sugar Land, where he produced a 3.96 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 66:33 K:BB in 50 innings.

The Rockies optioned Fulford to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Fulford had a .591 OPS in 38 games with the Rockies last season but was unable to win the backup catcher job during spring training. The 27-year-old could get called up by the Rockies if Hunter Goodman or Brett Sullivan suffer an injury.

The Rockies reassigned Lopez to minor-league camp Sunday.

Lopez had been vying for a utility spot on the Rockies' Opening Day roster but won't break camp with the big club after posting a .695 OPS across 48 plate appearances in Cactus League play. Unless the Rockies grant him his release to pursue opportunities elsewhere, the 31-year-old infielder is expected to open the season at Triple-A Albuquerque.
