The Giants outrighted Cerantola to Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday.

Cerantola was a waiver claim of the Giants earlier this month. He is no longer on the 40-man roster but remains in the organization as relief depth. Cerantola has given up six runs with a 7:10 K:BB over 5.1 frames at the big-league level this season.

The Brewers transferred Zastryzny (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

Milwaukee needed to free up a spot on its 40-man roster following the acquisitions of Lance McCullers (shoulder) and Colton Gordon from the Astros. The transaction does not alter Zastryzny's timeline, as he's been out all season with shoulder and intercostal injuries. Zastryzny has made three appearances after resuming his rehab assignment earlier this month, but it's unclear when or if he will return to the Brewers' active roster.

Clarke (arm) began a rehab assignment at the rookie-level Florida Complex League on July 11, striking out two in 1.2 scoreless innings.

Clarke was finally cleared to pitch in games after undergoing surgery in January to address an aneurysm in his left arm. The left-hander was acquired from the Red Sox over the offseason in the Sonny Gray trade and should eventually be assigned to High-A Peoria.

The Cardinals released Koperniak on Wednesday.

Koperniak was added to St. Louis' 40-man roster after the 2024 season, but he had a sub-.700 OPS each of the last two seasons at Triple-A Memphis and is now out of the organization. The 28-year-old will now be on the lookout for a new minor-league deal elsewhere.

Davis (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list and promoted from Double-A Springfield to Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday.

Davis missed one month of action with an undisclosed injury and had played six rehab games. The 24-year-old has slashed .231/.359/.446 with eight home runs, nine stolen bases and a 26:38 BB:K over 37 games this season during his time with Springfield. The 2023 first-round pick will be getting his first taste of the Pacific Coast League.

Zimmermann elected to become a free agent Wednesday.

Zimmermann cleared waivers after being removed from the Cardinals' 40-man roster, but he's chosen free agency rather than accepting an outright assignment. The southpaw could re-sign with St. Louis on a new minor-league contract, but he is free to negotiate with any team. Zimmermann permitted three earned runs in five innings in a bulk-relief appearance earlier this month in his lone outing for St. Louis.

Blewett has exercised an opt-out clause in his minor-league contract with the Cardinals, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The Cardinals now have the choice of either adding him to their 40-man roster or letting him depart as a free agent. Blewett has spent the entire season at Triple-A Memphis, holding a 5.18 ERA and 63:19 K:BB over 48.2 innings.

Morgan (knee) began a rehab assignment at the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Wednesday, yielding one hit and two walks with one strikeout in one-third of an inning, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

It's the first game action since late June for Morgan, who is coming back from left knee inflammation. If all goes well, the reliever could make a few more rehab appearances before rejoining the Padres' bullpen at some point in the latter portion of July.

Walcott (elbow) began a rehab assignment at the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Tuesday and has gone 3-for-6 with one home run and one stolen base.

Working his way back from internal brace surgery on his right elbow, Walcott has been used in the designated-hitter spot in his first two rehab games. He's been playing catch, but it's not clear when he will be ready to play the field in games. Walcott finished the 2025 season at Double-A Frisco and will either return to that level or move up to Triple-A Round Rock as his rehab advances.

Oliveto (toe) has gone 3-for-13 with a triple, five walks, two RBI and two runs in five games since being assigned to the rookie-level Florida Complex League after being reinstated from Single-A Lakeland's injured list.

Oliveto had already been on a rehab assignment in the FCL prior to being activated from the IL, going 8-for-37 (.216 average) with an 8:6 BB:K over 12 games. The 19-year-old catcher has shown a discerning eye at the plate through 17 total FCL games with a 20.6 percent walk rate across 63 plate appearances. He could get the chance to debut for Lakeland later on this season.
