Guerrero went 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored during the Blue Jays' 5-1 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Guerrero gave the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead in the fifth after drawing a bases-loaded walk, and he was brought home in the seventh on a Nathan Lukes RBI single. Guerrero has yet to record an extra-base hit through five regular-season games, though he's reached base safely in 12 of 22 plate appearances to open the 2026 campaign.

Herrera went 1-for-2 with a two-run double and two walks in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Mets.

Herrera got the scoring started for the Cardinals, driving in Victor Scott and JJ Wetherholt with a double in the bottom of the third inning. Herrera then walked in the fifth and seventh innings. After going just 1-for-13 at the plate in the Cardinals' opening series against the Rays, Herrera has reached base four times in two games versus New York. He's now slashing .158/.227/.263 with two doubles and four RBI through five contests.

Goodman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 5-1 loss to Toronto.

Goodman supplied the Rockies their lone run of Tuesday's loss with a solo homer off Max Scherzer in the sixth inning. Goodman has logged a hit in each of his first five games of the regular season, going 7-for-20 (.350) with two RBI in that span. The 26-year-old catcher is looking to build off a strong 2025 campaign in which he posted an .843 OPS with 31 home runs, 91 RBI, five triples and a steal across 579 plate appearances.

DeLauter was removed from Tuesday's game against the Dodgers with a left foot injury, SI.com reports.

DeLauter fouled a ball off his left foot during the first inning of Tuesday's contest and immediately headed into the Guardians' clubhouse. The team will presumably send the outfielder, already known for a history of injuries, for imaging to determine whether he suffered any structural damage. Should he need to miss any additional time, Angel Martinez and Daniel Schneemann would be candidates to pick up extra reps in the outfield.

Stanek walked one and recorded one strikeout in a scoreless seventh inning in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Mets.

Stanek handled the ninth inning in both of the Cardinals' previous two wins, picking up the save on Opening Day against the Rays before blowing the save in the second game of the season. Manager Oliver Marmol opted to use Stanek in a setup role Tuesday, and Stanek had his best inning of the young season. With Stanek used earlier in the game, the Cardinals went to Riley O'Brien for the ninth inning Tuesday, and he slammed the door shut on the Mets, setting them down in order on 11 pitches to pick up his first save of the season. All three of Stanek, O'Brien and JoJo Romero figure to get save chances for the Cardinals this season.

Suarez (0-1) took the loss against the Athletics on Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six across 3.2 innings.

Suarez opened Tuesday's game strongly by striking out two of the first three batters he faced, but he struggled across the next three frames before being pulled in the fourth. He was tabbed as Atlanta's fifth starter in the rotation after Spencer Strider (oblique) opened the season on the 15-day IL, but performances like Tuesday's will put Suarez in danger of losing his spot to candidates like Martin Perez and Didier Fuentes. For now, Suarez is slated to start against the Diamondbacks this weekend.

Baldwin went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk during Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Athletics.

Baldwin got Atlanta on the board with a solo homer off Aaron Civale in the first inning. Baldwin demonstrated his power potential in 2025, when he smacked 19 long balls in 446 plate appearances in the regular season. He already has three solo homers through the first five games of 2026 and has gone 5-for-19 (.263) over that span.

Scherzer (1-0) earned the win against the Rockies on Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings.

This is the 19th major-league season of Scherzer's storied career, but the 41-year-old demonstrated that he still has plenty in the tank. He kept the Rockies off the board through the first five frames before yielding a solo homer to Hunter Goodman in the sixth. After building his pitch count to 75 in spring training, Scherzer tossed 83 pitches (56 strikes) against Colorado on Tuesday, and the Blue Jays will need to rely heavily on the veteran right-hander due to the absences of Shane Bieber (forearm), Trey Yesavage (shoulder) Jose Berrios (elbow) and Cody Ponce (knee). Scherzer is tentatively slated to start next week at home against the Dodgers in a World Series rematch.

O'Brien picked up his first save of the season in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Mets. He didn't allow a hit or a walk with no strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.

It's notable that manager Oliver Marmol went to O'Brien for the ninth inning after the Cardinals' first two save chances of the season were given to Ryne Stanek in the opening series against the Rays. Stanek pitched the seventh inning against the Mets on Tuesday, walking one and striking out one in a scoreless frame. Stanek's save chances have been a rollercoaster, as he walked three on Opening Day and blew the save the following game, only to pick up the win later. O'Brien was effective in the role last season after Ryan Helsley was dealt at the trade deadline. The 31-year-old O'Brien turned in a 2.06 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 45:22 K:BB across 48 innings last regular season and picked up all six of his saves following Helsley's departure. The Cardinals figure to give O'Brien, Stanek and JoJo Romero save opportunities this season.

Ibanez went 2-for-4 with two RBI singles and a run scored during Tuesday's 5-2 win over Atlanta.

Ibanez put the Athletics on the board with an RBI single in the second inning before doing so again in the fourth. He got the start at second base for the first time this season, and his defensive versatility and success at the plate against southpaws should afford him semi-regular playing time this season.
