Gray allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over six innings in a no-decision against San Francisco on Wednesday.

Gray fared pretty well Wednesday, notching his second straight quality start and 14th overall this season. He threw 99 pitches (63 strikes) and racked up an impressive 18 whiffs. This was presumably the final time Gray will take the mound this season with the Cardinals on the verge of being eliminated from postseason contention. If that ends up being the case, Gray will finish with a 4.28 ERA. 1.23 WHIP and 201:38 K:BB over 180.2 innings spanning 32 starts while posting a 14-8 record. This is the second straight season, and the third time in his lengthy career, that he's reached 200 punchouts in a campaign.

Beck earned a save against the Cardinals on Wednesday, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Beck was called upon in the ninth inning with San Francisco up by one run. He gave up a single to open the frame, but that was quickly wiped out on a double play, and the right-hander then ended the game by getting a bunt groundout. Beck had one save this season prior to Wednesday, though that was in a game during which he tossed three innings in early September. Ryan Walker has been San Francisco's closer for much of the season, but he wasn't deployed Wednesday after throwing 27 pitches and giving up two runs in a blown save against St. Louis one day earlier.

Brubaker tossed four innings in a no-decision against St. Louis on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out four batters.

Brubaker was given a turn in the rotation after the Giants decided to shut down Robbie Ray for the remainder of the campaign. Brubaker fared okay in the outing, giving up a pair of third-inning runs but getting through four frames on 68 pitches and notching four punchouts. This was the right-hander's first start of the season, though he'd thrown at least two innings in each of his previous five appearances coming into Wednesday. If Brubaker doesn't enter in any of the Giants' final three games -- a distinct possibility given his pitch count Wednesday -- he'll finish the campaign with a 3.77 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 22:12 K:BB over 28.2 innings during his time with the Giants.

Carroll went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, a run, an RBI and two stolen bases in an extra-innings loss to the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Carroll reached four times in the contest, including once on an intentional walk. He had a key run-scoring double in the eighth inning to ignite a late Arizona rally during which the Diamondbacks temporarily tied the score. Carroll also stole second and third base after walking in the first inning, though he was stranded in that frame. The star infielder has provided substantial fantasy value with a power-speed skill set that has led to 31 home runs and 32 thefts through 141 games.

Edman went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI in a 5-4 win in 11 innings against Arizona on Wednesday.

Edman came up with a clutch knock in the 11th inning when he singled to center field with two outs to produce what ended up being the winning run. Overall, the infielder/outfielder collected three singles in the contest, marking his first three-hit game since he went 4-for-5 against the Mets all way back on May 31. It's been a rough campaign for Edman -- he has a meager .229/.278/.387 slash line through 96 games and has missed substantial time due to injuries -- but Los Angeles will likely look to him to provide a spark in the playoffs as he did last year when he was named the NLCS MVP.

Pages went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-4, extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.

Pages gave Los Angeles a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning with a two-run blast to left-center field. It was his 26th long ball this season -- twice as many as he hit last year as a rookie. Pages also has 84 RBI, 14 stolen bases and a .276/.316/.465 slash line over 152 games as he's settled into a reliable everyday outfielder for the Dodgers.

Nelson allowed three runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out nine batters over six innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Nelson got off to a rough start when Shohei Ohtani led off the game with a triple and Mookie Betts brought him home on a sacrifice fly. However, the right-hander did pretty well thereafter, giving up just two more runs (on a homer by Andy Pages in the fourth inning). Nelson thus notched his sixth quality start over his past seven outings and also set a new season-high mark with nine strikeouts. Nelson has been a bit of a revelation this year -- if this was his final regular-season appearance, he'll finish with a 3.39 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 132:41 K:BB over 154 innings spanning 33 outings (23 starts).

Wrobleski notched a save against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, striking out two batters in a perfect 11th inning.

The Dodgers' bullpen blew another late lead Wednesday, as Arizona scored three times in the eighth inning to tie the score. Los Angeles was able to push the game into extra frames, and after neither team scored in the 10th, the Dodgers managed a run in the top of the 11th inning. Wrobleski then came in for the bottom of the frame and sandwiched two punchouts around a groundout to earn a tough save. It was the left-hander's second save of the campaign, though his first was of the three-inning variety against Tampa Bay on Aug. 1. The Dodgers' bullpen has been in disarray throughout much of the season -- the team has 27 total blown saves, and the club's saves leader, Tanner Scott, has 10 -- so it's not infeasible that Wrobleski's clutch performance Wednesday could earn him some high-leverage looks (and even save chances) as manager Dave Roberts looks to find reliable late-inning arms.

Snell allowed one run on five hits and one walk while striking out five batters over six innings in a no-decision against Arizona on Wednesday.

Snell wasn't able to notch double-digit strikeouts as he had in his previous two outings, but he did extend his quality-start streak to three contests. The left-hander threw 63 of his 95 pitches for strikes and induced nine whiffs. This was presumably Snell's final appearance of the regular season, so he'll likely finish with a 2.35 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 72:26 K:BB over 61.1 innings spanning 11 starts. Snell has been particularly strong down the stretch, allowing just one run across 19 frames while posting a 28:5 K:BB over his past three starts. He'll undoubtedly be in Los Angeles' postseason rotation, and he's relatively fresh after missing fourth months of big-league action from early April to early August due to a shoulder injury.

Busch went 2-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 10-3 win over the Mets.

Busch has been on a power surge with five home runs across his last 11 games, pushing him to a career-high 31 long balls for the season. The left-handed slugger continues to do most of his damage against righties, as he's sporting an .875 OPS and has hit 27 of his homers in those matchups, though Wednesday's shot came against New York southpaw Sean Manaea.
