Priester (shoulder) will resume a rehab assignment this weekend, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Priester went on the injured list before the season due to thoracic outlet syndrome and had to be pulled off his initial rehab assignment earlier this month because of right shoulder soreness. He showed diminished velocity and posted a 16.20 ERA, 3.00 WHIP and 5:8 K:BB across five innings in his first three rehab starts, so Priester has a lot to prove before convincing the Brewers he's ready to reclaim a spot in the rotation.

The Rockies optioned Gordon to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.

The right-hander has been up in the majors for the past month, but he'll return to Triple-A after giving up 12 earned runs with a 20:4 K:BB across 17 big-league innings. Gordon could return to the rotation at Albuquerque, where he had a 2.76 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in three starts to begin the season.

Suarez (oblique) will resume hitting Tuesday and is set for an MRI on Thursday to check the progress of his healing, Charlie Clifford of NBC 5 Cincinnati reports.

If the Reds like what they see with Suarez's imaging later this week, he will travel with the team on its upcoming road trip and continue to ramp up his activities. A rehab assignment should come shortly after that if all goes well. Suarez has been sidelined since late April with a left oblique strain, but he should be able to make it back before the end of May if he remains free of setbacks.

Benge will start in right field and bat leadoff in Tuesday's contest versus the Tigers.

Benge hit leadoff in three straight games in mid-April, but he had been batting lower in the order since then. With a .300/.352/.500 batting line over his last 54 plate appearances, Benge is one of the few Mets players swinging a hot bat, so he's getting another opportunity at the top of the batting order.

The Rockies reinstated Herget (personal) from the bereavement list Tuesday.

The right-hander has been away from the Rockies since Saturday but is now back on the active roster. Herget has recorded one save and three holds with a 5.40 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB across 15 innings this season.

Ewing will start in center field and bat eighth in Tuesday's game against the Tigers, his major-league debut.

Ewing was promoted from Triple-A Syracuse earlier in the day after slashing .339/.447/.514 with two home runs, 17 stolen bases and a 22:20 BB:K over 30 games between Double-A Binghamton and Syracuse. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Tuesday that Ewing is "here to play," indicating the rookie will be an everyday player and not a platoon bat, Max Goodman of NJ.com reports. With Luis Robert's (back) recovery going slowly, Ewing has the opportunity to grab hold of the Mets' center field job indefinitely.

Lowe is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

It's the second straight game on the bench versus a right-handed starter for Lowe, who has an .876 OPS through 29 games but has scuffled a bit of late with just four hits and nine strikeouts in his past 22 at-bats. Eugenio Suarez (oblique) isn't expected to come off the injured list in the near future, so Lowe should still get plenty of playing time going forward despite the consecutive absences.

Karros is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Pittsburgh.

Karros will get a breather after he had a modest nine-game hitting streak come to an end in the Rockies' last contest Sunday in Philadelphia. Willi Castro will cover third base and bat seventh in Karros' stead.

Atlanta selected Azocar's contract from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old outfielder elected free agency after being designated for assignment by Atlanta last week, but he quickly re-signed on a minor-league deal and is now back in the majors. Azocar went 0-for-2 with a stolen base in two games during his prior stay on the big-league roster. He'll provide outfield depth with Ronald Acuna (hamstring) and Eli White (concussion) on the injured list but isn't likely to see regular playing time.

Atlanta optioned Jarvis to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old was called up last week and will return to the minors after going 1-for-5 with two strikeouts in his first two MLB games. Jarvis has an .863 OPS with four homers and 15 steals in 33 games at Gwinnett this year and could get another look in the majors later in 2026 if Atlanta needs more infield depth.
