Owen Caissie RF | MIA
Marlins' Owen Caissie: Plays hero in Friday's win
Caissie went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBI in Friday's 4-3 win over the Giants.
The 23-year-old outfielder got the Marlins on the board in the first inning with a solo shot off Landen Roupp, but it was Caissie's sacrifice fly in the seventh that ended up producing the game-winning run. He's gone yard in back-to-back contests, giving him eight homers on the season, but over 13 games in June, Caissie's still slashing just .167/.238/.472 with a 33.3 percent strikeout rate.

Pete Fairbanks RP | MIA
Marlins' Pete Fairbanks: Notches save No. 10
Fairbanks worked a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his 10th save of the season in a 4-3 win over the Giants. He didn't strike out a batter.
The right-hander needed 17 pitches (12 strikes) to coax weak contact out of Drew Gilbert, Daniel Susac and Luis Arraez to wrap things up. Fairbanks hasn't blown a save since May 16 in his first appearance back from a stint on the IL, and since that game he's converted all five of his chances while posting a 4.09 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB in 11 innings.

Cade Gibson RP | MIA
Marlins' Cade Gibson: Collects first win of season
Gibson (1-2) picked up the win Friday, striking out one in 1.2 perfect innings of relief in a 4-3 victory over the Giants.
The Marlins went with a true bullpen day Friday, as none of their eight pitchers recorded more than five outs, and Gibson was not only the most effective of them, he was still the pitcher of record when his team took the lead for good in the bottom of the seventh inning. The 28-year-old southpaw held a brutal 14.73 ERA after his second big-league appearance of the season May 21, but since then he's delivered a 2.70 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB over 10 innings while mainly working in lower-leverage spots.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Giants' Rafael Devers: June power surge continues
Devers went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Marlins.
The 29-year-old slugger took Michael Petersen deep to lead off the sixth inning, Devers' 11th homer of the season and fourth in the last 11 games. Over that June hot stretch, he's slashing .250/.388/.625 with three doubles, five RBI and seven runs. Trade rumors are swirling around the Giants' bigger names and contracts as they challenge the Rockies for the worst record in the National League, and Devers is doing what he can right now to boost his value to a contender.

Landen Roupp SP | SF
Giants' Landen Roupp: Quality start in no-decision Friday
Roupp didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Marlins, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out seven.
The right-hander was originally set to face Atlanta on Thursday, but his turn through the rotation got bumped after a rainout and he took advantage of a matchup against a less dangerous opponent. Roupp delivered his sixth quality start of the season on 98 pitches (57 strikes), and he was in line for the win before Sam Hentges coughed up the lead in the seventh inning. Roupp hasn't gotten into the win column since April 26, posting a 5.40 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 52:19 K:BB in 45 innings over nine starts since the beginning of May. He'll try to end that drought in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the A's.

Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Fans eight in strong showing
Freeland didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Pirates, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out eight over 7.1 innings. He did not issue a walk.
Freeland was coming off a subpar outing his last time out when he allowed six runs on 10 hits over 5.2 innings to take the loss against the Athletics on June 13, but he bounced back admirably here and posted his second quality start of the season. Freeland is capable of posting strong numbers from time to time, but for the most part he's struggled, giving up 17 runs (16 earned) on 28 hits across 23.2 innings pitched in June. That translates to a 6.08 ERA, but that's actually lower than his season-long ERA of 7.36 across 13 starts (66 innings). He's projected to make his next start at home against the Red Sox.

Antonio Senzatela RP | COL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Picks up win in relief
Senzatela (7-0) earned the win Friday against the Pirates after tossing a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one.
Senzatela continues to have an outstanding season out of the Rockies' bullpen, lowering his ERA to 2.23 with this scoreless outing. It was also a bounce-back performance from the veteran, who had given up runs in three of his previous four appearances. Senzatela has posted career-best marks in ERA and WHIP (1.07) out of the bullpen this season across 22 outings and 40.1 innings.

Bubba Chandler SP | PIT
Pirates' Bubba Chandler: Posts quality start in no-decision
Chandler didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Rockies after tossing six innings of two-run ball, allowing six hits and walking two while striking out one.
Chandler recorded a quality start for the first time since April 17, and this was just the second time all season that he's pitched six complete frames. He seems to be trending in the right direction. After posting a 4.70 ERA across five outings and 23 innings in May, Chandler has given up two earned runs in each of his last three starts and owns a 4.09 ERA in four starts (22 innings) in June. He's slated to make his next start at home against the Mariners.

Pierce Johnson RP | CIN
Reds' Pierce Johnson: Begins rehab assignment
Johnson (elbow) allowed one earned run on two hits and struck out one batter in a one-inning rehab appearance for Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
Johnson threw 17 pitches (13 strikes) in the first appearance of his rehab assignment. If the Reds are satisfied with the right-hander's condition following Friday's appearance, he could return from the 15-day injured list later this weekend.

Mason Montgomery RP | PIT
Pirates' Mason Montgomery: Tagged with blown save, loss
Montgomery (2-2) was tagged with the loss and his second blown save of the season Friday against the Rockies. He allowed two runs on three hits over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one.
Montgomery entered the game with the Pirates holding a 3-2 lead and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. He retired TJ Rumfield with a groundout, but back-to-back singles from Tyler Freeman and Cole Carrigg set up Braxton Fulford, who gave the Rockies the lead with the game-winning hit -- a two-run double on a line drive to center. Montgomery then struck out Ezequiel Tovar, but the damage was already done. The 26-year-old southpaw has been inconsistent of late. He was on a run of four consecutive scoreless outings before this game, but he's also given up multiple runs in three of his last seven appearances. He has a 7.94 ERA and 2.29 WHIP across six outings (5.2 innings) since the beginning of June.
