Lowder (3-5) took the loss against the Brewers on Wednesday, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Lowder allowed three runs on two homers in the third inning but was otherwise able to keep the Brewers in check, generating 13 whiffs on 100 pitches and departing one out shy of a quality start. While the 24-year-old has lost back-to-back decisions, he's posted a solid 3.66 ERA through four outings since returning from the injured list June 7. He owns a 4.81 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 48:29 K:BB across 58 innings this season and lines up for a road rematch with the Brewers next week.

Drohan did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Reds, allowing five hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 4.1 scoreless innings.

Drohan kept the Reds off the board but labored throughout, generating just six whiffs on 98 pitches while failing to go deep enough to earn a potential win. He still managed his first scoreless outing since transitioning to a starting role June 1, holding opponents to three earned runs or fewer in four of five games during that stretch. He'll carry a 3.12 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 52:17 K:BB across 52 innings this season into a home rematch with the Reds next week.

Kuhnel earned the save in Wednesday's 6-5 win against the Reds, allowing one hit and two walks with no strikeouts over 1.1 scoreless innings.

With Trevor Megill and Abner Uribe both unavailable, Kuhnel was called upon to thwart a late comeback by the Reds. He recorded the final out of the eighth inning before escaping a bases-loaded jam in the ninth with a game-ending double play. The 31-year-old has now gone 2-for-3 in save chances for Milwaukee, though he's yielded runs in four of seven appearances with the club. For the year, he's collected six saves and five holds to go along with a 4.18 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 20:10 K:BB across 32.1 innings between the Athletics and Brewers.

Herget secured the save Wednesday against the Red Sox, throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out two.

It didn't seem initially like the Rockies would have a save opportunity Wednesday, but Colorado turned a 6-3 deficit into an 8-6 advantage across the seventh and eighth innings. The rally opened the door for Herget to nail down his second save of the season, and it's worth noting the hurler worked behind Antonio Senzatela. Through 19.1 innings, Herget has a 4.19 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB with four holds.

The Nationals optioned Palmquist to Triple-A Rochester following Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Palmquist gave up one earned run in 3.1 innings while making his season debut as the Nats' opener Wednesday. Now that he's fulfilled his duties with the big club, he'll head back to Rochester, where he's posted a 3.27 ERA and 0.73 WHIP across 11 frames since joining the organization in May.

Hoerner went 4-for-9 with a walk, four doubles and five runs scored across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets.

After enduring a brutal slump for much of June, Hoerner is showing signs of life lately. The speedy infielder has gone 8-for-23 across his last four games with six doubles and seven runs scored. Hoerner is still batting only .241 on the season, which is well below the level he's used to, but he has the contact skills to turn things around, and he's at his best when he's getting on regularly and swiping plenty of bases.

Imanaga (5-6) earned the win Wednesday against the Mets, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk while striking out four over 5.1 innings.

All four runs Imanaga allowed came via the long ball, as Francisco Alvarez, A.J. Ewing and Mark Vientos each took the left-hander deep. Wednesday continued a troubling trend in which he has surrendered three or more home runs in four of his last six starts. Fortunately for Imanaga, Chicago's offense provided plenty of run support, allowing him to pick up his first victory since May 7. Entering Wednesday, the 32-year-old had posted a 6.64 ERA in his previous seven starts, losing four of them. He'll carry a 4.40 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 88:23 K:BB into his next scheduled outing, which is expected to come during a series against the Padres next week.

Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, two stolen bases and four runs scored in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Ramirez followed up an 0-for-3 performance in the first game Wednesday with the best effort of his rookie campaign. The 22-year-old recorded the first two stolen bases of his MLB career and also set career bests for hits, RBI and runs scored. Ramirez isn't quite an everyday player yet for the Cubs, but the youngster entered the year with some legitimate prospect buzz and is showing signs of promise in the majors.

Freeland took a no-decision Wednesday against the Red Sox, allowing six runs on 11 hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out four.

Freeland was hit hard Wednesday, giving up a staggering eight extra-base hits (two home runs). The 33-year-old southpaw has been knocked around for double-digit hits three times already this year, and he's now surrendered at least six runs on six occasions as well. Freeland has a disastrous 7.50 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 61:17 K:BB across 72 innings, making him an unappealing fantasy option for his next scheduled start at home versus the Marlins.

O'Hearn went 4-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 11-1 win over the Mariners.

It was a huge night at the plate for O'Hearn, who'd gone just 1-for-16 over four games prior to Wednesday. He extended Pittsburgh's lead to 7-1 with a two-run double in the seventh inning before driving in a third run with his third double of the contest in the eighth. Overall, O'Hearn is slashing .285/.342/.467 with 11 homers, 44 RBI and 35 runs scored through 266 plate appearances this season.
