  • Pirates' Aroldis Chapman: Finding form

Chapman hit one batter and struck out one across a scoreless seventh inning to record a hold Monday against the Reds.

Chapman tallied his team-leading 13th hold. His numbers remain inflated after a shaky start to the season, but he's managed to turn in eight scoreless efforts in his last nine appearances. Chapman has still walked six batters across 8.2 innings in that span, but he has otherwise been effective.

  • Rockies' Justin Lawrence: Shaky in return

Lawrence allowed two earned runs on two hits and one walk while striking out two across 1.1 innings Monday against the Dodgers.

Lawrence was activated from the injured list Monday after missing around three weeks with a shoulder injury. He recorded the final out in the eighth inning without issue, but he then allowed the first two batters of the ninth frame to reach base -- leading to his two earned runs. Lawrence was projected to be Colorado's primary closer entering the season, but he has only two saves and two holds while struggling to a 6.35 ERA and 1.85 WHIP in 21 appearances.

  • Rockies' Jacob Stallings: Homers against Dodgers

Stallings went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Monday against the Dodgers.

Stallings has taken over as the Rockies' primary catcher in the absence of Elias Diaz (calf). He's started six of the team's last seven games, collecting seven hits across 18 at-bats with three RBI and four runs scored. Stallings has also hit cleanup in the past two contests.

  • Greg Jones CF | MIL

Rockies' Greg Jones: Goes yard for first big-league hit

Jones went 1-for-1 with a solo home run Monday against the Dodgers.

Jones was promoted to the majors June 6 and has made just one start since. However, he entered Monday's game as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning and tallied his first big-league hit with a solo home run. Jones will almost certainly remain a bench bat moving forward.

  • Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Nabs first win

Hernandez (1-0) picked up the win Monday over the Tigers, giving up a hit and a walk in a scoreless eighth inning. he struck out two.

With the score tied 1-1, the right-hander faced the heart of Detroit's order and escaped a one-out jam by fanning Gio Urshela and Akil Baddoo. Hernandez has been effective in four big-league appearances this year, allowing just an unearned run in four innings with a 5:3 K:BB, but he's unlikely to see more than occasional high-leverage usage in Atlanta's deep bullpen.

  • Jarred Kelenic LF | TEX

Braves' Jarred Kelenic: Swipes bag Monday

Kelenic went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's win over the Tigers.

The 24-year-old is thriving as Atlanta's leadoff hitter. Kelenic has a five-game hitting streak going in which he's batting .333 (7-for-21). Since Ronald Acuna (knee) was lost for the season May 26, Kelenic has stepped up in an everyday role, slashing .302/.338/.540 with three home runs, two steals, nine runs and nine RBI in 19 contests.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Swats fifth homer

Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's win over the Tigers.

The second baseman belted the game-winning homer in the eighth inning off Shelby Miller in a 2-1 victory, giving Atlanta its only lead of the night. The long ball was only the fifth of the year for Albies, and the 27-year-old has had trouble finding any rhythm at the plate in June, slashing .206/.227/.397 over 15 games this month.

  • Forrest Wall LF | SD

Braves' Forrest Wall: Gets hit in first start

Wall went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Monday's win over the Tigers.

The 28-year-old drove home Atlanta's first run of the night in the seventh inning with a two-out single. Wall was making his first start of the season in the majors -- he made two appearances off the bench in April before being sent down to Triple-A Gwinnett -- and he could be in line for consistent playing time as a strong-side platoon partner for Ramon Laureano, with Atlanta missing both Ronald Acuna (knee) and Michael Harris (hamstring) from its usual starting outfield. Wall was slashing .287/.393/.415 with four homers and 10 steals in 44 games for Gwinnett.

  • Brice Turang 2B | MIL

Brewers' Brice Turang: Blasts homer in loss

Turang went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a loss to the Angels.

Turang plated the final run of the contest with his 419-foot solo shot in the fifth inning. The second-year infielder has gone deep four times through 68 games this season after hitting six homers in 137 contests last year. Turang's skill set is more centered on speed than power, so anything fantasy managers get in the homer department is a nice bonus. The speedster has made a big impact on the rosters of fantasy managers who had the foresight to pick him up late in fantasy drafts or on the waiver wire, as he's slashing .291/.359/.406 on the season with 25 RBI, 35 runs and 26 stolen bases in 27 attempts.

  • Brewers' Carlos F. Rodriguez: Drops second straight start

Rodriguez (0-2) took the loss against the Angels on Monday, allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out three batters over 4.2 innings.

Rodriguez's second big-league outing went about as poorly as his first -- he gave up two fewer hits but twice as many earned runs while failing to complete five frames. The right-hander did make it through two innings unscathed, but he was stung by a three-run third before serving up a two-run homer in the fourth. Rodriguez has given up six earned runs across 8.1 frames over his two starts, and he could be pushed back to the minors if Jakob Junis (shoulder) returns to the big club this week, as expected.
