The Pirates reassigned Fulmer to minor-league camp Sunday.

Fulmer is expected to open the season at Triple-A Indianapolis after he was unable to secure a bullpen role coming out of camp. The 32-year-old righty appeared in 13 big-league games with the Angels in 2025, pitching to a 5.83 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 26:11 K:BB in 29.1 innings.

The Pirates reassigned Williams to minor-league camp Sunday.

Williams will start at second base and bat ninth Sunday against the Red Sox in the Pirates' Grapefruit League finale, but the 27-year-old will fall short in his bid for a utility spot on the Opening Day roster. He's expected to report to Triple-A Indianapolis, where he spent the entire 2025 season while slashing .268/.329/.392 with nine home runs and four steals across 394 plate appearances.

Riley went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and four RBI in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox.

The long ball wasn't a cheap one -- Riley got hold of a Garrett Crochet cutter in the second inning and put it over the ersatz Green Monster at JetBlue Park. It was Riley's fifth homer of the spring, and the third baseman knocked both his doubles off Boston's ace as well. Over 15 Grapefruit League games, Riley is batting .395 (15-for-38) with a 6:8 BB:K, and he looks more than ready for Opening Day.

Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski said Sunday that Stubbs will be designated for assignment if the Phillies are unable to trade the 32-year-old catcher prior to Wednesday, Ty Daubert of PhilliesNation.com reports.

The Phillies will head into Opening Day with J.T. Realmuto and Rafael Marchan as their two catchers, and since Stubbs has no minor-league options remaining, he'll have to be exposed to waivers if he isn't dealt. In an effort to strengthen his case for a roster spot, Stubbs played some third base and left field during the Grapefruit League, but it wasn't enough for the Phillies to keep him over Marchan.

General manager Dave Dombrowski said Sunday that Marchan has won a spot on the Phillies' Opening Day roster, Ty Daubert of PhilliesNation.com reports.

Marchan was able to win the backup catcher job over Garrett Stubbs. J.T. Realmuto will see the majority of the starts behind the dish, but Marchan could see a slight uptick in opportunities behind the 35-year-old. Despite staying healthy for the entire 2025 campaign, Marchan was limited to just 118 plate appearances and slashed .210/.282/.305 with two home runs, 13 RBI and nine runs.

Moore (foot) will start at second base and bat ninth in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Yankees.

Moore was removed from an exhibition game Wednesday due to a bruised foot, but after coming off the bench and playing three innings at first base Friday, his availability for the start of the season is no longer in question. The 33-year-old had been in camp as a non-roster invitee but secured his spot on the Opening Day roster after the Phillies signed him to a one-year contract Sunday.

Robert suffered a cardiac incident Sunday while preparing to throw a bullpen session and was taken to a local hospital, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Medical personnel administered a defibrillator, and Robert is said to be stable and alert following his hospitalization. The right-hander hadn't appeared in any Grapefruit League games this spring after a cardiovascular issue was detected in his medical exams prior to the start of camp. In the wake of Robert experiencing another cardiac-related emergency Sunday, the Phillies are likely to proceed even more cautiously with his return to baseball activities.

Hernandez (shoulder) threw a live batting practice session Monday but has yet to make his Grapefruit League debut, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Atlanta has proceeded slowly with Hernandez in camp after he finished last season on the injured list while recovering from right shoulder inflammation, but the club has yet to confirm that the 29-year-old reliever will open 2026 on the shelf. That said, Atlanta has just three more exhibition games prior to Opening Day, so Hernandez will likely need to pitch in at least one of those contests in order to have a shot at breaking camp with the big club.

The Pirates optioned Sanders to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

Sanders allowed four runs and struck out 10 over 7.2 innings during spring training, but it wasn't enough to get him a place on the Opening Day roster. The right-hander surrendered six earned runs across 6.2 frames in his first taste of the majors last year.

The Pirates optioned Flores to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

The 25-year-old struggled this spring, going 2-for-25 with 10 strikeouts and six walks in 14 games. Flores made his MLB debut with seven appearances for Pittsburgh last year and could rejoin the big club in 2026 if depth at first base or catcher is needed.
