Brandon Leibrandt RP | CIN
Reds' Brandon Leibrandt: Selected from Louisville
The Reds selected Leibrandt's contract from Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.
Leibrandt has spent all season in Triple-A, where he owns a 4.46 ERA and 1.30 WHIP through 76.2 innings across 16 starts. The 31-year-old southpaw will likely work out of the bullpen as he returns to the majors for the first time since 2020, replacing Casey Kelly.

Jake Cave LF | COL
Rockies' Jake Cave: Taking seat Thursday
Cave is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Marlins.
After starting in each of the Rockies' last five games while going 8-for-20 with three extra-base knocks, Cave will take a seat for the series finale. With Cave and Charlie Blackmon on the bench Thursday, Nolan Jones will serve as the Rockies' designated hitter, while Colorado runs out a starting outfield of Jordan Beck, Brenton Doyle and Sam Hilliard from left to right.

Cam Smith RF | HOU
Cubs' Cam Smith: Dominant start to pro career
Smith was promoted from Single-A Myrtle Beach to High-A South Bend on Tuesday.
The 14th overall pick in this year's draft, Smith hit .313 with six homers in 15 games at Single-A, so it was time for more of a challenge. He's hitting .500 with one double, two strikeouts and one walk in two games at High-A.

Harrison Bader CF | SF
Mets' Harrison Bader: Idle Thursday
Bader isn't in the Mets' lineup for Thursday's game versus the Diamondbacks.
Bader has seemingly broken out of his offensive skid by hitting two home runs over his last two games, but he will be held out of Thursday's series finale. The Mets will instead roll out an outfield trio of Jesse Winker, Brandon Nimmo and Starling Marte.

Teoscar Hernandez LF | LAD
Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Drills three-run homer
Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 6-4 win against Baltimore.
Hernandez capped Los Angeles' big third inning with a three-run blast to left-center field. The long ball was his 28th of the campaign, his second-highest total as a big-leaguer. Hernandez also has 87 RBI this season, so he has a shot of reaching the 30-homer, 100-RBI mark for the second time in his career.
