Lux isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

The Dodgers will be facing left-hander Reid Detmers on Tuesday, so the left-handed bat of Lux will begin the game on the bench while Chris Taylor covers second base.

Yepez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

It's the second time on the bench in Washington's past three games for Yepez, who has gone 7-for-23 with two homers over his past seven contests. Andres Chaparro will shift to designated hitter while Joey Gallo starts at first base against Miami righty Max Meyer.

Conforto was scratched from the Giants' lineup ahead of Tuesday's game versus Arizona due to side tightness, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The team expects Conforto to return to the lineup Wednesday, so the decision to hold him out Tuesday appears to be precautionary. While he sits, Jerar Encarnacion will work as San Francisco's designated hitter and bat sixth.

De La Cruz is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

De La Cruz started the previous three games but will head to the bench Tuesday after going 0-for-11 with three strikeouts. The 27-year-old has yet to find his footing since being acquired by the Pirates, as he has a .202/.223/.273 slash line and 31.1 percent strikeout rate in 26 games since the trade.

The Giants optioned Sabol to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

Playing time has been hard to come by in the majors for Sabol, as this is now the second time he's been optioned back to Triple-A after a few days in the big leagues without playing in a game. Luis Matos was recalled from the minors to fill the open roster spot.

The Giants optioned Schmitt to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

Schmitt owns a .553 OPS across 38 plate appearances since the start of August and has seen his playing time diminish over the past several weeks. He'll now head back to Sacramento to receive regular reps while Marco Luciano comes up from Triple-A to take Schmitt's place as infield depth.

The Giants recalled Matos from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old was optioned to Sacramento in late July but is back with the Giants for the final month of the season. Matos has played in 40 games across his two previous stints in the majors this season and has a .217/.238/.333 slash line with four homers in 143 plate appearances. The right-handed bat of Matos could work as a short-side platoon partner of Grant McCray in center field.

The Giants recalled Luciano from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

Luciano went 4-for-21 with nine strikeouts over seven games during his most recent stint in the big leagues, but he'll get another shot with the Giants after slashing .281/.359/.421 with two homers and six RBI across 64 plate appearances since returning to Triple-A. Casey Schmitt was optioned to Sacramento in a corresponding move.

Conine is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

The 27-year-old has started five of six games in right field since being called up by Miami last week, but he'll sit Tuesday versus Washington lefty Patrick Corbin. Both of his absences from the lineup have come against a left-handed starter, so it appears Conine is operating in the strong side of a platoon. Kyle Stowers, Cristian Pache and Jesus Sanchez are starting from left to right in the outfield Tuesday.

The Diamondbacks placed Gurriel on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left calf strain, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Gurriel missed Monday's game after injuring his calf Sunday, and he's now set to miss at least the next 10 days after being diagnosed with a strain. Pavin Smith started in Gurriel's place Monday and may continue to do so while the 30-year-old is sidelined. Meanwhile, Christian Walker (oblique) will return from the IL to fill the open roster spot.
