Assad came away with a no-decision in Friday's 9-5 loss to the Rockies, giving up four runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out five.

The big blow off Assad came in the second inning when Hunter Goodman launched a two-run homer, but the right-hander otherwise minimized the damage and got taken off the hook for the loss when the Cubs tied the game in the top of the eighth. Assad hadn't been tagged with more than three runs in an outing since June 23, and over his last 10 starts he sports a 3.27 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 37:24 K:BB through 52.1 innings. He'll look for a better result in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home next week against the A's.

Aguiar (2-0) picked up the win Friday, giving up three runs on three hits and two walks over 6.1 innings in an 8-4 victory over the Twins. He struck out four.

The rookie right-hander delivered his second career quality start on 86 pitches (57 strikes) but Aguiar was locked in a 1-1 pitchers' duel with Bailey Ober until the Reds erupted for six runs in the top of the seventh, securing the win for the 23-year-old. Through his first six big-league outings, Aguiar carries a 4.88 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 15:10 K:BB. He lines up for his next trip to the mound at home next week against Atlanta.

Rojas went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to Atlanta.

Rojas put the Dodgers on the board in the third inning with a solo blast to left field. The long ball extended his on-base streak to nine games, during which the veteran infielder is slashing .300/.382/.400 with four runs, three RBI and a 4:4 BB:K. Rojas is batting .290 overall this season, which is on pace for his best mark since he hit .304 across 40 contests during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign.

Nimmo went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer and a walk in Friday's 11-3 victory over Philadelphia.

Nimmo broke the game open in the Mets' big fifth inning, launching a three-run shot off Aaron Nola to extend New York's lead to 6-0. The homer was Nimmo's first in nearly a month -- he'd gone 15-for-72 (.208) with a .543 OPS in his previous 20 contests. The 31-year-old outfielder is now slashing .226/.337/.396 through 603 plate appearances this year with 19 homers, a career-best 78 RBI, 79 runs scored and 13 steals.

Bader went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, a double and an additional run scored in Friday's 11-3 win over the Phillies.

Bader laced a two-out double off Max Lazar in the sixth inning before putting the game to bed with a three-run homer off Tyler Gilbert in the eighth, his 12th long ball of the year. Bader had gone just 3-for-24 with no extra-base hits in 12 games prior to Friday while continuing to lose at-bats to Jesse Winker, Starling Marte and Tyrone Taylor. Overall, the 30-year-old Bader is slashing .246/.290/.393 with 50 RBI (matching a career high), 54 runs scored and 16 stolen bases across 404 plate appearances this season.

Senzatela (elbow) will be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Monday's game against the Diamondbacks at Coors Field, MLB.com reports.

Senzatela has been on the IL all season while recovering from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last July, but after completing his lengthy rehab process, he appears poised to make two or three starts with the Rockies before the 2024 campaign comes to a close. Manager Bud Black said that there will be a "harness" on Senzatela in his 2024 debut Monday, so the right-hander likely won't be asked to throw much more than 70 pitches against Arizona. Over the course of his five rehab outings between stops at High-A Spokane and Double-A Hartford, Senzatela maxed out at 68 pitches and posted a 5.29 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB across 17 innings.

De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a grand slam home run in Friday's 8-4 win over Minnesota.

De La Cruz broke open a close game in the seventh inning with the slam, his first as a major leaguer, and his 24th home run of the season. The dynamic De La Cruz has managed to make an impact this month despite batting .205 over 12 games. During that stretch, he has seven walks, five extra-base hits, eight RBI, three stolen bases and seven runs scored.

Paredes went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Friday's 9-5 loss to the Rockies.

All three hits were singles but Paredes will take all the base knocks he can get after starting slowly with his new team. The infielder is heating up lately, however, as he's now riding a five-game hitting streak. During the stretch, Paredes is batting a sizzling .529 with a 1.134 OPS. It looks like the 25-year-old is turning a corner in a Chicago uniform and could be primed for a big final few weeks of the regular season.

Friedl went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and an additional run scored in Friday's 8-4 win over the Twins.

Friedl put the Reds up early with a second-inning home run, his 12th long ball of the season. He later brought in a run on a bunt single and another run on a traditional single. Friedl's made an impact this month with 11 RBI over 12 games in September.

Busch went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 9-5 loss to the Rockies.

Busch went deep with two runners on in the eighth inning, giving him 18 home runs and 59 RBI for the season. The 26-year-old is enjoying his first year in Chicago, as he's gotten a chance to play regularly at first base and is sporting a respectable .778 OPS across 138 games. With this being his first real taste of extended MLB action, Busch could be poised for a step forward in 2025 now that he has more experience under his belt.
