Realmuto is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The Phillies clinched the NL East title with a win over the Cubs on Monday, but Realmuto's absence from the lineup Tuesday likely has more to do with the fact that he started the previous five games. Garrett Stubbs will do the catching for opener Tanner Banks.

Moreno (adductor) will start at catcher and bat eighth in Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Moreno was removed from Sunday's game against the Brewers and didn't play Monday versus the Giants due to left adductor tightness. However, he's feeling well enough to give it a go in this one as the Diamondbacks look to even the series.

Mitchell is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Pittsburgh.

With lefty Bailey Falter on the bump for the Pirates, the left-handed-hitting Mitchell will sit this one out. Blake Perkins will be in center field and Gary Sanchez will be at designated hitter for the Brewers.

The Phillies activated Hays (kidney) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Hays missed the last three weeks of action with battling a kidney infection. He should operate as the Phillies' primary left fielder, with Brandon Marsh shifting over to center field most days.

Davidson slashed .328/.438/.608 with nine home runs and six steals in 53 games for Single-A San Jose.

The Giants gave Davidson $50,000 as an undrafted free agent in 2023, and he has been hyper productive thus far in pro ball while being old for his levels. A 22-year-old center fielder with plus speed, Davidson posted an elite 43 percent hard-hit rate this season, so he clearly has massive tools worth tracking as he advances up the ladder. His 70.5 percent contact rate and 24.7 percent strikeout rate this season are poor marks given his age, but it's not hopeless.

The Phillies optioned Stevenson to their spring training complex Tuesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

With Triple-A Lehigh Valley's season over, Stevenson will report to the team's spring training facility, where he'll work out in case he's needed later on. The transaction frees a spot on the roster for the return of Austin Hays (kidney) from the injured list.

Lindor (back) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Atlanta.

It's the eighth consecutive start Lindor has missed due to a nagging back problem. The switch hitter has expressed optimism that he will be able to return at some point this week, but it's not clear when or if that will come to fruition. Luisangel Acuna will again start at shortstop and bat ninth for the Mets as Lindor's replacement.

Spiers will start Tuesday's game in Cleveland.

Spiers is taking the rotation spot created by Julian Aguiar's (shoulder) placement on the injured list. Jakob Junis, had initially been scheduled to start Tuesday, but he'll instead be pushed back to Wednesday while he tends to a personal matter. The right-handed Spiers holds a 5.40 ERA over 21 appearances (nine starts) for the Reds this season.

Junis has been scratched from Tuesday's start versus the Guardians due to personal reasons and will start Wednesday's series finale in Cleveland instead, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Carson Spiers is now scheduled to start Tuesday, with Junis getting an extra day in between starts. Junis has been terrific over the last month for the Reds, allowing just three runs with an 18:1 K:BB over 23.2 innings covering four starts and one relief appearance.

The Pirates recalled Peguero from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old was up in the majors for a couple days in early June but hasn't seen action in the big leagues since last season. Peguero posted a .257/.316/.409 slash line with 13 homers and 15 steals in 128 games with Indianapolis this year.
