Nola signed a minor-league deal Sunday that includes an invitation to spring training with the Rockies, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Nola was in the Royals' organization in 2024 and spent about a week in the majors without appearing in a game. With Drew Romo and Jacob Stallings in the mix, it's unlikely that Nola will play a significant role for the Rockies in 2025.

Ortega (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with the Mets that includes an invitation to spring training Sunday, Jon Morosi of MLB Networkreports.

Ortega is recovering from elbow surgery that sidelined him for the entire 2024 season. He has previously pitched in low-leverage roles out of the Angels' and Twins' bullpen.

Stratton (knee) signed a minor-league deal with the Pirates on Monday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Stratton was with the Pirates in 2024 and threw 37.2 innings out of the bullpen while maintaining a 3.58 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. His recovery from knee surgery could spill over into the regular season, but he's likely to contribute as a reliever for the big-league club at some point in 2025.

Adames signed a seven-year, $182 million contract with the Giants on Saturday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Adames slashed .251/.331/.462 with 32 homers, 112 RBI and 21 steals during the regular season in 2024 -- good enough to land the largest contract in Giants franchise history. The 29-year-old infielder immediately gives a power boost to a San Francisco lineup that ranked 15th in the majors with a .396 slugging percentage, and he's a safe bet to play in the field every day after starting all but one of Milwaukee's games last year. Assuming Adames fills in as the Giants' shortstop, the team may now choose to move Tyler Fitzgerald to second base while Brett Wisely gets pushed to the bench.

Swanson underwent surgery to address a core injury in early October, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Going under the knife immediately after the end of the regular season should allow Swanson to return in 2025 without missing any time. The 30-year-old infielder slashed .242/.312/.390 with 16 homers, 66 RBI and 19 steals during his second season in Chicago and is expected to remain the Cubs' everyday shortstop next season.

Holmes signed a three-year, $38 million contract with the Mets on Friday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

After spending three-plus seasons with the Yankees, Holmes won't have to travel far to join his new squad. The 31-year-old turned in a 3.14 ERA and 1.30 WHIP over 63 innings in the regular season and logged a career-high 30 saves, though he also led the majors with 13 blown saves. With Edwin Diaz locked in as the closer in Queens, the Mets will attempt to convert Holmes into a starter, per Sherman. However, keeping the right-hander in the bullpen as New York's setup man is still on the table if his move into the rotation doesn't work out.

The Mets signed Olivares to a minor-league contract Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Olivares slashed only .224/.291/.333 with five home runs in 55 contests with the Pirates in 2024, but he had a 108 OPS+ as a part-timer with the Royals over the previous two seasons. Slated to turn 29 in March, Olivares will compete for a reserve outfielder role with the Mets but will likely start next season at Triple-A Syracuse.

The Padres re-signed McCoy to a minor-league contract Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Russell Dorsey of Yahoo Sports reports.

McCoy was non-tendered by San Diego last month but now returns as a spring training invitee. The utility player put up a .523 OPS in 19 games with the Padres in 2024.

The Diamondbacks are likely to use Jameson (elbow) as a reliever next season, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Jameson came up through the minors as a starter and broke into the majors in that role. However, he was mostly used in relief in 2023 and pitched well in the bullpen with a 2.81 ERA and 29:11 K:BB over 32 frames. Jameson missed the 2024 season following Tommy John surgery but is expected to be ready for spring training.

Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak has said the team would like to see Gorman receive close to 600 at-bats next season, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Gorman spent the final five-plus weeks of the 2024 season in the minors and finished with a .671 OPS and 37.6 percent strikeout rate. However, the Cardinals are committed to giving their younger players a long leash in 2025 and Gorman will be one of the beneficiaries. What position Gorman plays is not yet clear. He's seen most of his starts at the major-league level at second base and could play there, but moving back to his natural third base position is also an option if the Cardinals trade Nolan Arenado.
