McNeil (oblique) will continue his rehab assignment with Single-A St. Lucie through Thursday before his assignment is shifted to Triple-A Syracuse, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

McNeil will presumably remain with Syracuse through the weekend before the Mets decide whether he's ready to return from the 10-day injured list at the beginning of next week. The veteran infielder is bouncing back from a right oblique strain and has already played two games for St. Lucie, going 2-for-5 with a walk and a run.

Acuna went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's 5-1 win over the Twins.

The 23-year-old made an impact from the bottom of the batting order, continuing a hot streak in which he has gone 6-for-14 over his last four games with three steals and six runs scored. After the game, manager Carlos Mendoza essentially confirmed that Acuna has pulled ahead of Brett Baty in the battle for playing time at second base, with the skipper noting that Acuna will start against another right-handed pitcher (Bailey Ober) on Tuesday, per Tim Healey of Newsday. Jeff McNeil (oblique) is closing in on a return from the 10-day injured list and will eventually take over as the Mets' primary second baseman, but Acuna's ability to play center field will likely improve his odds of sticking around in the big leagues since Jose Siri (tibia) appears headed for a lengthy absence.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Mauricio (knee) is scheduled to serve as the designated hitter in an extended spring training game Tuesday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Mauricio will be participating in his first game action since December 2023, when he suffered a torn ACL in his right knee while playing in the Dominican Winter League. The 24-year-old infielder has faced a longer recovery than initially anticipated, as he required a follow-up procedure July 30, 2024 to remove scar tissue from the knee. He was eased along slowly this spring, but Mauricio is finally ready to test himself in a competitive environment, albeit in a controlled setting and in a non-defensive role. Mauricio could still be multiple weeks away from being ready to play the infield, and the Mets haven't yet offered a concrete timeline for him to be fully cleared.

White went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Blue Jays.

The 30-year-old utility player has started two straight games as Atlanta tries to find some production in its outfield, but White's window for playing time is likely to close quickly. Alex Verdugo is expected to join the big-league roster at some point this week, while Ronald Acuna (knee) remains on track for an early-May season debut. If White keeps his spot on the 26-man roster, his best route to at-bats would likely come as a short-side platoon partner for Verdugo.

Allen went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Blue Jays.

The 26-year-old continues to make his case to be Atlanta's starting shortstop ahead of Orlando Arcia. Allen is batting .313 (10-for-32) through 10 games with four steals in four attempts, while Arcia is batting just .208 (5-for-24) in his seven outings.

Murphy went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Monday's win over the Blue Jays.

The backstop took Easton Lucas deep in the first inning, the first of three Atlanta homers off the southpaw. Murphy is very quickly erasing memories of his rough 2024 campaign -- after homering 10 times in 72 contests last year, he's already launched four long balls in his first six games of 2025.

Taylor could receive the bulk of the starts in center field after Jose Siri was diagnosed with a fractured tibia Monday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Taylor and Siri made eight starts apiece in center through the Mets' first 16 games, with neither player performing well enough to seize the everyday role. Though Siri's absence will clear the way for Taylor to potentially emerge as a mainstay in the lineup, the Mets have some alternatives if the 31-year-old is unable to dramatically improve upon his .158/.179/.211 slash line. Brandon Nimmo made 22 starts in center in 2024 and Luisangel Acuna made 31 starts in center at Triple-A Syracuse last season, though both players would likely represent defensive downgrades from Taylor. Jose Azocar, Gilberto Celestino and Billy McKinney have all made starts in center field at Syracuse this season, and it wouldn't be surprising if one of those three players received a call-up Tuesday as the corresponding move to Siri being placed on the injured list.

Rodriguez struck out seven and allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks over five innings of relief during Monday's 9-1 loss to the Tigers.

After yielding 11 earned runs over nine innings in his first two starts of the season, Rodriguez was moved to the bullpen late last week when Jose Quintana was called up from Triple-A Nashville. Rodriguez made a one-out appearance last Thursday in Colorado but was called upon for an extended piggyback outing behind starter Tyler Alexander on Monday after the latter pitcher was lit up for eight runs (four earned) through the first four innings. Per Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com, Rodriguez made use of a new pitch mix in Monday's appearance, scrapping the fastball-heavy approach he used in his first two starts and instead throwing sweepers and curveballs on 40 of his 68 pitches on the night. The adjusted pitch mix yielded strong results, but Rodriguez is unlikely to be reappointed to the rotation anytime soon, especially with Tobias Myers (oblique) on track to return from the injured list next week and Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) not being far behind him.

Wilson (oblique) will continue his rehab assignment at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.

Wilson, who has yet to make his season debut with Philadelphia after suffering a left oblique strain in spring training, appeared in four games with Single-A Clearwater last week, going 1-for-10 with four walks, a stolen base and four runs. Per MLB.com, Wilson is scheduled to play nine innings at second base Tuesday, and he could get some exposure to the corner outfield later on in the week while he's with Lehigh Valley. Once activated from the 10-day injured list, Wilson will likely fill a utility role for the big club.

Cruz went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored Monday against the Nationals.

Cruz was in the lineup for the second straight day since returning from a finger injury. He's primarily hit third in the Pirates' order this season, but with the team struggling to score runs and battling a number of injuries, Cruz got his first look in the leadoff spot. He started a rally in the second inning with a one-out double, only his fourth extra-base hit of the campaign.
