The Dodgers designated Rosario for assignment Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The veteran outfielder joined the big-league roster Friday with Shohei Ohtani landing on the paternity list, but it will be a short stay in the majors with Ohtani rejoining the club Sunday. Rosario went 1-for-4 with a double in his two games with the team. Assuming he passes through waivers unclaimed, he could elect free agency or return to Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he has a .948 OPS through 14 contests this year.

Ohtani (personal) was reinstated from the paternity list and is expected to start at designated hitter Sunday against the Rangers, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Ohtani was away from the Dodgers for the past two games to attend the birth of his daughter, but he's back with the club for Sunday's series finale in Texas. Through 20 games this season, the 30-year-old has a .288/.380/.550 slash line with six homers, five steals eight RBI and 21 runs in 92 plate appearances.

Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Murphy has just one hit with seven strikeouts in his past 16 plate appearances, and he'll receive Sunday off after a run of seven straight starts. Drake Baldwin will take over behind the plate for Atlanta in the series finale versus Minnesota.

Trevino is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Baltimore.

Trevino went 4-for-9 with a walk, two doubles and three runs in the first two games of the series and will take a seat for Sunday's finale. Austin Wynns will step in behind the plate and bat ninth.

Beck went 1-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Nationals.

Beck was recalled to provide some extra depth due to Brenton Doyle (quadriceps/personal) being away from the team. The former immediately drew a start with a lefty on the mound and delivered a three-RBI triple in the seventh inning. Beck is likely to serve in a small-side platoon role, though his playing time will be worth monitoring until Doyle returns.

Moniak went 2-for-3 with a home run, a triple, four RBI and three runs scored Saturday against the Nationals.

Moniak has seen extra playing time due to the absence of Brenton Doyle (personal/quadriceps), with Saturday marking his eighth straight start. He is in the midst of a four-game hitting streak and has now homered in consecutive games. Even more notable has been Moniak's improved plate discipline -- albeit in a small sample -- as he's striking out at only an 18.4 percent clip paired with a 10.4 percent walk rate across 49 plate appearances.

The Phillies recalled Stevenson from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

The 28-year-old missed out on the Opening Day roster but is up with Philadelphia on Sunday as Brandon Marsh (hamstring) lands on the injured list. Stevenson had a .708 OPS in 18 games across a couple regular-season stints with the Phillies last season, and he isn't likely to have a significant role while up in the majors this time around.

The Phillies placed Marsh on the 10-day injured list Sunday, retroactive to April 17, due to a right hamstring strain, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

The outfielder sat out the previous three games after tweaking his knee Wednesday against the Giants, but the hamstring issue is what prompted his move to the IL. Marsh is 0-for-31 with 11 strikeouts and five walks in his past 14 contests, and the injury could provide him with an opportunity to regroup. Johan Rojas should see the bulk of the playing time in center field, though Cal Stevenson was also called up Sunday.

Candelario is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Candelario has a double and a homer in his past two games, but he has only one other hit in his last 11 contests. Spencer Steer is starting at first base for the first time this season after playing through a shoulder issue to start the year.

The Reds placed Spiers on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a right shoulder impingement, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.

The 27-year-old was called up Friday and was scheduled to start Sunday in place of Nick Lodolo (paternity), but Hunter Greene's short outing Saturday resulted in Spiers covering four frames out of the bullpen. The right-hander apparently tweaked his shoulder while giving up four runs, so he'll be sidelined for at least the next couple weeks. Randy Wynne was selected to the MLB roster Sunday and could provide some length behind opener Brent Suter against the Orioles.
