Ray allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four batters over five innings in a no-decision against Milwaukee on Monday.

Both of the runs Ray allowed came on a second-inning Caleb Durbin homer. While the veteran hurler otherwise kept the Brewers out of the scoring column, he again struggled with his efficiency, needed 92 pitches (55 of which were strikes) to get through five frames. Ray completed just four innings in each of his two previous appearances, and he exceeded 90 pitches in each of those outings as well. He's been okay so far this season with a 3-0 record and 4.07 ERA, but his 1.56 WHIP is far from ideal. Ray's biggest issue has been walks -- with the three free passes Monday, he's now issued a league-high 18 walks in just 24.1 frames on the campaign.

Scott went 3-for-4 with a double, a run, two RBI and a stolen base in a loss to Atlanta on Monday.

Scott came into Monday having gone just 5-for-31 with no RBI over his previous 10 games, but he broke out with his first multi-hit performance since April 8. The speedy outfielder also notched his eighth theft of the season, which is tied for second in MLB. Despite his recent slump, the Cardinals have stuck with Scott in an everyday role, and he's held his own overall with a .264/.325/.375 slash line through 81 plate appearances.

Contreras went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to Atlanta.

Contreras tried to bring St. Louis back with a two-run shot off Raisel Iglesias in the ninth inning that brought his team within a run, but the comeback attempt ultimately fell short. The long ball was only the second of 2025 for Contreras, who belted 15 homers in just 358 plate appearances last season. The catcher-turned-first-baseman is slashing a paltry .182/.234/.295 on the campaign, but he's been bringing that mark up of late, going 6-for-16 over his past four games.

Riley went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a walk in a 7-6 win against St. Louis on Monday.

Riley put Atlanta on the board and knotted the score at 2-2 with his two-run blast in the third inning. The long ball helped snap a mini-slump for Riley that included a 2-for-17 mark and just one RBI with nine strikeouts over his previous four games. The veteran third baseman has hit well overall so far in 2025, though, slashing .278/.316/.522 with six homers, 15 RBI and 12 runs over 95 plate appearances.

Murphy went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Monday's 7-6 win against the Cardinals.

Murphy was hitless until the eighth inning, when he pounded a three-run homer to left field to give Atlanta a 7-3 lead. The long ball was the fifth of the season for the veteran catcher in just 11 games, and he now has 11 RBI in what was been a productive beginning to 2025 after Murphy began the campaign on the injured list due to an injury. He's still batting a mediocre .205, but the power output and run production has kept Murphy atop Atlanta's catcher depth chart despite the recent offensive upswing of rookie Drake Baldwin.

Fedde logged a no-decision against Atlanta on Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks while notching three strikeouts over six innings.

Fedde had only one clean inning among his six frames, but he managed to mostly tip-toe around trouble with the help of two double plays behind him. The righty was in line for the win when he departed, but Atlanta scored five runs in the eighth frame to pull out the victory. While Fedde has registered a fine 3.33 ERA and 1.19 WHIP and now has four quality starts in five appearances, he's played with fire in walking three of more batters in each of his past four outings while heavily pitching to contact. As a result, his FIP is a much less desirable 5.07, while his K:BB is an ugly 13:14 through 27 innings.

Schwellenbach tossed seven innings in a no-decision against St. Louis on Monday, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits and no walks while striking out five batters.

Schwellenbach gave up a pair of runs in the second inning, but he recovered from that frame to allow only one more run over the remainder of his outing. The righty mostly pitched to contact, notching just nine whiffs and a modest five punchouts, which helped him get through seven innings on an efficient 92 pitches. This was a strong bounce-back performance by Schwellenbach after he yielded a season-high six runs over 4.2 frames against Toronto in his previous appearance. That performance against the Blue Jays was the only time Schwellenbach has struggled so far this season, as he otherwise has notched a quality start in each of his other four outings and holds a 2.56 ERA overall.

Diaz allowed a run on one hit in one inning during Monday's win over Philadelphia. He struck out two and earned a save.

While Diaz was charged with only one run, he served up a three-run blast to Bryson Stott after inheriting two runners from Max Kranick. It was the first home run allowed by Diaz since April 9 and snapped a three-inning scoreless streak. Despite his 5.59 ERA, he's converted each of his six save chances this season.

Megill (3-2) allowed a hit and four walks over 5.1 scoreless innings Monday, striking out 10 and earning a win against Philadelphia.

Megill mowed through the Phillies and produced his first double-digit strikeout performance since his 2021 rookie campaign. Outside of a bases-loaded jam in the third inning, he didn't face much of a threat despite throwing only 53 of 92 pitches for strikes. Megill generated a season-high 14 whiffs. He dropped his ERA to a terrific 1.09 with a 30:11 K:BB through 24.2 frames. Megill's next start is expected to be in Washington this weekend.

Nola (0-5) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over 6.1 innings Monday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Mets.

Nola gave up a leadoff homer to Francisco Lindor and a solo shot to Jesse Winker in the second inning. Nola didn't run into any more trouble until the seventh inning when he put two runners on base and was charged with both runs after being removed from the contest. It was his longest outing of the year and just the second time he completed at least six frames. Nola has produced an unsightly 6.43 ERA with a 31:11 K:BB through 28 innings. He's currently lined up for a road start against the Cubs this weekend.
