Chourio went 4-for-5 with a homer, a double and three RBI in Saturday's 6-5 loss at St. Louis.

The 21-year-old star notched his second career four-hit game with this performance, with the first coming last August, also at St. Louis. The highlight of Chourio's day came in the ninth inning, when he launched a 395-foot, two-run homer off closer Ryan Helsley to tie the game at 5-5. Through 122 plate appearances, Chourio sports a .280/.295/.534 slash line with six homers, two steals, 23 RBI and 21 runs scored.

Priester did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Cardinals, allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out two.

The Milwaukee right-hander was in line for the loss before Jackson Chourio bailed him out with a game-tying homer in the ninth. Priester allowed a season-worst eight base knocks as the St. Louis lineup peppered him with runs in the second, third and fourth innings. After looking sharp with a 0.90 ERA in 10 innings over his first two starts, Priester has regressed in his last two outings, allowing seven runs across nine innings. The 24-year-old currently lines up to face the high-powered Cubs offense at home next weekend.

Arenado went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk in Saturday's 6-5 victory over Milwaukee.

Arenado took Milwaukee closer Trevor Megill deep to end the game in the bottom of the ninth, popping a 385-foot solo shot to left field. The long ball snapped a nine-game stretch without a home run, over which the veteran third baseman struggled to a .182 average (6-for-33). Overall, Arenado is now slashing .266/.267/.447 with three homers, 13 runs scored and 12 RBI across 109 plate appearances.

Helsley (1-0) blew the save but collected the win Saturday against the Brewers. He allowed two runs on two hits and no walks with no strikeouts over an inning.

The St. Louis closer has allowed runs in just two appearances this season, both of which were his only blown saves. Helsley conceded a two-run homer to Jackson Chourio in the ninth before being bailed out by a walk-off shot from Nolan Arenado in the bottom of the frame. Despite sporting a respectable 3.60 ERA through his first 10 innings, Helsley has struggled with free passes (7.2 BB/9), which has led to a 4.73 FIP.

Gray picked up a no-decision in Saturday's 6-5 win over Milwaukee, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out four.

Despite not having his sharpest stuff, the veteran right-hander bagged his third consecutive quality start in this 91-pitch outing. Gray worked around seven hits and three walks, both of which marked season worsts for the 35-year-old. He has pitched to a 3.60 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 33:7 K:BB across 35 innings this season. Gray currently lines up to make his next start against the Mets at home next weekend.

Minter was pulled in the eighth inning of Saturday's 2-0 win over the Nationals due to left triceps tightness, Manny Gomez of NJ.com reports.

Minter appeared to suffer the injury on his ninth pitch of the inning, and he was lifted quickly after being checked on by a trainer. Manager Carlos Mendoza said after Saturday's game that Minter will "most likely" require a stint on the injured list, per Gomez. Minter posted a 1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, six holds and a 13:4 K:BB across 10.2 innings prior to Saturday's outing.

The Pirates optioned Burrows to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The move makes room on the 26-man roster for the reinstatement of Colin Holderman (knee) from the 15-day injured list. Burrows was brought up to the majors April 24, but did not appear in a game for the Pirates. He's made three starts in Triple-A, posting a 4.38 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 11-5 K:BB across 12.1 innings.

The Pirates activated Holderman (knee) from the 15-day injured list Saturday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Holderman landed on the 15-day IL due to a right knee sprain, but he's fully recovered after two rehab outings. He allowed one run on three hits while striking out one over 1.2 innings in the minors, and he'll look to improve on his 9.64 ERA and 2.14 WHIP in the majors upon his return to the Pirates' bullpen. To make room on the 26-man roster for Holderman, the Pirates optioned Mike Burrows to Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move.

Chapman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

Chapman has struggled a bit at the plate lately, going just 3-for-23 (.130) with a 6:6 BB:K in that span. The third baseman is batting a modest .221 with an .804 OPS, five home runs, four steals, 16 RBI, 14 runs scored and four doubles over 28 games. Chapman's 20.8 percent walk rate is more than double his 10.0 percent mark from last season -- while this may be a bit of a small-sample fluke, his early success drawing free passes has helped offset a small drop batting average.

Ray allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out eight over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Rangers on Saturday.

Both runs allowed came on sacrifice flies by Jake Burger over the first three innings. Ray was able to have his longest start of the year thanks to an efficient performance, which saw him throw 69 of 97 pitches for strikes. The one walk matched his season low, while the eight strikeouts equaled his season high. He's taken three straight no-decisions but still doesn't have a loss through six starts (3-0) in 2025. Ray is at a 3.73 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 33:19 K:BB over 31.1 innings. He'll look to build on this strong outing in his next start, which is projected to be at home versus the Rockies.
