Winn (ankle) is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates.

Winn had to depart the second game of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Mets with a sprained left ankle. The injury is considered minor, but Winn will need to miss at least one start. Jose Barrero is at shortstop and batting ninth for the Cardinals in Monday's series opener.

Mervis is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

The Dodgers are opening the game with a left-handed pitcher (Jack Dreyer), so the left-handed-hitting Mervis will begin the contest on the bench. He could end up replacing Eric Wagaman at first base or Connor Norby at designated hitter once right-hander Ben Casparius enters the contest to serve as the Dodgers' bulk reliever.

Casparius is in line to serve as the bulk reliever for the Dodgers on Monday in Miami behind opening pitcher Jack Dreyer, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Casparius hasn't pitched in more than a week, having struck out five over 3.2 scoreless innings on April 27 against the Pirates. He threw a season-high 54 pitches in that outing but has been used primarily as a starter throughout his minor-league career. Casparius could earn additional bulk relief outings and/or traditional starts as the Dodgers navigate injuries to Clayton Kershaw (toe), Blake Snell (shoulder), and Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) and continue to wait on Shohei Ohtani being available to pitch.

Dreyer will serve as the Dodgers' opening pitcher in Monday's game against the Marlins, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Ben Casparius is expected to eat the bulk of the innings in relief, but he'll be preceded by Dreyer. The left-handed Dreyer has been excellent on the whole this season but has struggled lately, allowing six runs over his last four appearances.

Sheets is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

With the Padres facing a left-handed starting pitcher (Carlos Rodon) for the third game in a row, the lefty-hitting Sheets will remain on the bench. Luis Campusano will get another turn as the Padres' designated hitter in place of Sheets.

Heyward is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

With the Padres facing a left-handed starting pitcher (Carlos Rodon) for the third game in a row, the lefty-hitting Heyward will remain on the bench. Oscar Gonzalez will fill in for Heyward in left field.

Merrill (hamstring) has joined the Padres in New York for their series against the Yankees and is likely to be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The expectation had been that Merrill would be activated Monday. While he's met up with the Padres after traveling to New York following his rehab assignment with Double-A San Antonio over the weekend, rainy conditions are expected in The Bronx on Monday night, so the team will wait an extra day to reinsert him into the lineup. Merrill has been shelved since early April with a right hamstring strain.

Iglesias is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

Iglesias will take a seat for the series opener while he's been in the midst of a funk at the plate lately, having gone 3-for-26 over his last eight games. Tyler Wade will cover the keystone in his stead.

Bell (groin) remains out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Guardians.

Bell will miss out on a third straight start due to a groin injury. The Nationals haven't provided any indication that Bell could need a stint on the injured list, but he'll need to show improvement in a hurry. For the third straight game, the Nationals will use James Wood at designated hitter and Alex Call in left field.

Ramirez is absent from the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Dodgers.

Ramirez had been in the lineup for each of the previous nine tilts but will get a breather in Monday's series opener. Three of his last four starts have come at designated hitter, and he could be used as more of a DH moving forward with the Marlins carrying two other catchers on the roster in Liam Hicks and Nick Fortes. Fortes is behind the dish for Monday's game, while Connor Norby is in the DH slot.
