Ramirez went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Monday's loss to the Dodgers.

The rookie backstop began the night on the bench while Nick Fortes got the start behind the plate, but Ramirez pinch hit for Graham Pauley in the sixth inning and remained in the game, taking Yoendrys Gomez deep in the eighth. Ramirez's playing time could take a hit while the Marlins juggle three catchers, including Rule 5 pick Liam Hicks, but his development should remain the club's top priority. Through his first 12 big-league contests, Ramirez is slashing .244/.277/.622 with five doubles and four homers among his 11 hits.

Dollander (finger) has been cleared to start Tuesday's game against the Tigers at Coors Field, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Dollander was lifted after covering 5.2 innings and tossing 88 pitches in his most recent start last Wednesday against Atlanta due to a split fingernail on his pitching hand, but after receiving treatment, the rookie won't have to miss a turn through the rotation. Through his first five big-league outings, Dollander has gone 2-3 with a 6.48 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB across 25 innings.

The Cardinals plan to keep Graceffo in the majors as a reliever rather than return him to the Triple-A Memphis rotation, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Graceffo was recalled Monday and tossed a scoreless inning in a victory over the Pirates, picking up his second win in as many appearances. The righty went five innings of relief last week against the Reds, but manager Oliver Marmol said Monday that it would be "ideal" to deploy Graceffo in shorter stints moving forward as he settles into a relief role. Graceffo's stuff has played up in relief, most notably in his outing versus the Reds when his fastball peaked at 98.9 mph and slider reached 93 mph. It's not clear whether this is a permanent role switch for Graceffo or a trial run in the bullpen.

Dunn entered Monday's game after Tyler Callihan (forearm) was removed and went 0-for-2 in a 4-0 loss to the Mets.

Callihan fractured his forearm crashing into the outfield wall and was removed from the game. Dunn took over in left field, which has been a rotation since Austin Hays (hamstring) landed on the 10-day injured list. Callihan, Gavin Lux and Santiago Espinal have taken turns there since Hays' injury.

Espinal started at third base and went 1-for-3 in Monday's 4-0 loss to Atlanta.

The hot-hitting Espinal got the start over a slumping Noelvi Marte (3-for-22 in last six games) and extended his hit streak to six games. It was Cincinnati's lone hit. The versatile Espinal is 11-for-22 with two doubles and five RBI during the hot stretch.

Suarez went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Mets.

Since homering four times (five RBI) in a game last week, Suarez entered Monday in a 4-for-28 (.143) funk with one RBI over the subsequent seven games. That's been the story of his season -- a spasm of production followed by slumps. Seventeen of his 23 RBI were produced in just four contests. Suarez has spent most of the season below the Mendoza Line and is batting .198 over 35 games.

Henry allowed one hit and struck out one over 2.2 scoreless innings in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Mets.

Henry was promoted Sunday from Triple-A Reno, where he was part of the Aces' rotation. The Diamondbacks envisioned needing his length with Monday's scheduled starter, Corbin Burnes, scratched due to a shoulder injury. The length was needed when long reliever Ryne Nelson, filling in for Burnes, tired in the fourth inning. Another member of the rotation, Merrill Kelly, is dealing with cramping issues in his hamstring, but he's scheduled to start Wednesday. Henry will likely stick around for a bit, as Nelson will need a few days before he's ready to pitch again.

Freeman went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 7-4 win against Miami.

Freeman belted a two-run shot to center field in the third inning to give the Dodgers a 3-0 lead. The veteran first baseman has hit safely in 10 straight games and is batting a sizzling .447 (17-for-38) with three homers and 12 RBI during that span. The hot streak has pushed Freeman's season batting average to .337, which would be fifth-highest in the majors if Freeman had enough plate appearances to qualify.

Contreras went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-3 win against Pittsburgh on Monday.

Contreras turned the game around for St. Louis in the sixth inning, slugging a two-run homer to give the team a lead that it didn't relinquish. After a slow start to the season, the catcher-turned-first-baseman has been heating up lately, notching multiple hits in four of his past six games. Over that span, Contreras is batting .455 (10-for-22) with three home runs and 10 RBI.

Barrero went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Monday's 6-3 win against the Pirates.

Barrero plated half of the Cardinals' runs in the contest, knocking a solo shot in the third inning and adding a two-run double in the sixth. The homer was the 27-year-old's first as a big-leaguer since 2023 -- he spent all of his time last year and the beginning of this season in the minors. Barrero has gotten into six contests with the Cardinals since being called up in late April and has gone 3-for-13.
