Miguel Amaya C | CHC
Cubs' Miguel Amaya: Enters lineup Monday
Amaya is starting at catcher and batting eighth in Monday's game against the Marlins.
The Cubs are mixing things up a bit with Ian Happ (oblique) out for the third straight day, as regular DH Seiya Suzuki is covering Happ's spot in the outfield. Carson Kelly is sliding in as the DH on Monday, which opens up a start behind the plate for Amaya. While he hasn't been able to match Kelly's scintillating 1.151 OPS, Amaya has been a reliable offensive performer with a .741 OPS, three home runs and 18 RBI across 21 games.

Carson Kelly C | CHC
Cubs' Carson Kelly: Serving as DH Monday
Kelly is serving as the designated hitter and batting fifth in Monday's game against the Marlins.
With Ian Happ (oblique) out for the third straight game, the Cubs have shifted Seiya Suzuki into the outfield, which has opened up the DH role. Justin Turner filled in the last two days, but it will be Kelly on Monday, with Miguel Amaya getting the nod behind the plate. Kelly has been scorching hot to begin the year with a 1.151 OPS across 24 games.

LaMonte Wade Jr. LF | HOU
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Absent from Monday's lineup
Wade is not in the Giants' starting lineup against the Diamondbacks on Monday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Wade struggled at the plate during the Giants' three-game weekend series against the Twins, going 0-for-9 with a walk and three strikeouts. He'll begin Monday's game in the dugout while Wilmer Flores starts at first base and bats fifth.

Joey Bart C | CHW
Pirates' Joey Bart: Serving as designated hitter
Bart is serving as the designated hitter and batting in the cleanup spot against the Mets on Monday.
With Oneil Cruz (back) sidelined for a second straight game, Andrew McCutchen will move to the outfield, which opens the DH spot for Bart while Henry Davis starts behind home plate. Bart went 6-for-12 with three RBI during the Pirates' three-game weekend series against Atlanta.

Oneil Cruz CF | PIT
Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Remains out of lineup
Cruz (back) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game versus the Mets.
Cruz will miss a second straight start after exiting Saturday' contest versus Atlanta with lower-back tightness. Alexander Canario will get another start in center field in place of Cruz, who is considered day-to-day.

Jackson Merrill CF | SD
Padres' Jackson Merrill: Back in action after illness
Merrill (illness) will start in center field and bat cleanup in Monday's game versus the Angels.
Merrill had to be scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Rockies due to illness, but he's ready to go a day later. The 22-year-old is 11-for-19 at the dish in four games since returning from a hamstring injury.

Ernesto Wilson Martinez 1B | NYY
Brewers' Ernesto Martinez: Back in action for Triple-A club
Martinez (thumb) rejoined the Triple-A Nashville lineup Thursday and has gone 1-for-10 with three walks, an RBI and a run over his last three games.
Though Nashville never placed him on the injured list, Martinez hadn't played since April 22 due to a right thumb injury before he made his return to action just over two weeks later. At 25, Martinez is an older prospect who is limited defensively to first base, but he's put himself on the radar for a potential late-season promotion to the Brewers by posting an .812 OPS while striking out at a manageable 18.9 percent clip over his 90 plate appearances thus far with Nashville.

Jake Bauers 1B | MIL
Brewers' Jake Bauers: Poaching playing time from Collins
Bauers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
Bauers seems to be moving ahead of Isaac Collins in the Brewers' outfield hierarchy; the former will start for the third time in Milwaukee's last four matchups versus right-handed pitchers, while Collins has started just once during that stretch. Both players will likely see their playing time trend downward once Garrett Mitchell (oblique) is cleared to return from the injured list.
-
Isaac Collins LF | KC
Brewers' Isaac Collins: Losing work to Bauers
Collins is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
Following Garrett Mitchell's (oblique) placement on the injured list April 26, Collins had been holding down a near-everyday role in the Milwaukee outfield, but he seems to have since fallen out of favor. Collins has now started in just one of the Brewers' last four games against right-handed pitching, while Jake Bauers has drawn three starts over that stretch.

Joseph Ortiz SS | MIL
Brewers' Joey Ortiz: Absent from Monday's lineup
Ortiz is not in the Brewers' starting lineup against the Guardians on Monday.
Ortiz will begin Monday's series opener in the dugout while Andruw Monasterio starts at shortstop and bats eighth. Ortiz has struggled at the plate this season and has gone 4-for-32 with a solo home run since the beginning of May.
