Atlanta optioned Karinchak to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Karinchak has allowed two runs with an 8:5 K:BB over 9.2 frames out of the Atlanta bullpen this season. He'll head back to Gwinnett for now but could get another opportunity later with the big club later in the campaign.

Atlanta designated Mateo for assignment Monday.

Mateo has slashed .240/.285/.380 this season and has started only one game since the All-Star break. With Ha-Seong Kim (finger) returning from the injured list Monday, Atlanta has opted to drop Mateo from its 40-man roster.

Colorado recalled Beck from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Thomas Harding of MLB.comreports.

Beck, who was recently activated from the injured list due to a hamstring strain, is back with the big-league club for the first time since mid-May. In 30 games before being sidelined, the 25-year-old slashed .183/.227/.305 with one homer and 10 RBI through 88 plate appearances. Beck is not in Monday's lineup for the series opener against the Rays, but is available off the bench.

Atlanta activated Murphy (finger) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

Murphy has rejoined the big club after a fractured left middle finger kept him shelved since mid-May. He's been limited to only four games this season due to injury but was cleared to return after slashing .381/.417/.429 in six rehab contests. Murphy will serve as the No. 2 catcher in Atlanta behind Drake Baldwin and should see some occasional starts in the designated-hitter spot when Baldwin is behind the plate.

Atlanta activated Kim (finger) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Kim had been shelved since July 4 due to right middle finger inflammation. He's gone just 5-for-73 (.068 average) in the majors this season and slashed an underwhelming .216/.355/.353 in 16 rehab contests. Jim Jarvis remains on the active roster and could continue to serve as Atlanta's primary shortstop over Kim.

The Padres transferred Adam (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

Adam's initial placement on the IL was retroactive to June 30, so he won't be eligible for activation until Aug. 29 after Monday's transaction, which was made for the purpose of opening up a spot on the 40-man roster for the newly acquired Hunter Stratton. According to MLB.com, Adam has yet to start a throwing program but is expected to resume playing catch in the near future while he works his way back from a right shoulder strain.

The Cardinals recalled Dobbins from Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

Dobbins has made four starts and three relief appearances for St. Louis this season, logging a 3.74 ERA an 32:11 K:BB over 33.2 innings. It's unclear at this point whether the Cardinals have a start mapped out for Dobbins or if they plan to make him available in long relief.

With the Cubs adding Kevin Gausman and Clay Holmes before Monday's trade deadline, Rea could slot back into a bullpen role, Vinnie Duber of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Chicago was busy bolstering its rotation before the deadline, and the Cubs now have Matthew Boyd and Shota Imanaga at the top, along with the newcomers Gausman and Holmes. David Peterson has also pitched well lately, and Edward Cabrera (hamstring) is expected back soon. Given all the other starting options now on the roster, Rea figures to slide into a long-relief role, though he's certainly capable of making spot starts if needed. The veteran righty has 4.59 ERA and 1.36 WHIP across 117.2 innings this season, and 19 of his 23 appearances to date have come as the starting pitcher, so he should be able to give the team some length out of the bullpen when called upon.

The Pirates acquired Moore from the Padres on Monday in exchange for right-hander Hunter Stratton.

Moore is a 26-year-old reliever who has never pitched in the majors. He has posted a 6.14 ERA with more walks (19) than strikeouts (17) in 14.2 innings at Triple-A this season.

Jordan is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

Jordan will hit the bench for the series opener while Jose Fermin picks up a start at third base. Since the All-Star break, Jordan has produced a .245/.275/.347 slash line with no home runs or stolen bases, eight RBI and three runs in 14 games.
