The Giants optioned Wisely to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday.

The move makes room on the 26-man roster for Tyler Fitzgerald (ribs), who was reinstated from the 10-day injured list. Wisely went 0-for-10 with two RBI after being recalled by the Giants on May 1. He'll return to Triple-A, where he is slashing .235/.325/.431 with three steals, five home runs and 19 RBI in 118 plate appearances.

Gonzalez (ankle) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.

Gonzalez fractured his left ankle on Opening Day in late March, and it wasn't until early May that he was able to shed a walking boot and take part in baseball activities. He's taking the next step in his recovery by starting a rehab assignment, and how his ankle responds after this weekend's games will determine a timeline for his return to the majors.

The Pirates designated Helman for assignment Friday.

The move makes room on the 40-man roster for Nick Solak, whose contract was selected by the Pirates from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday. Helman was claimed off waivers by the Pirates on Wednesday after being DFA'd by the Cardinals. He is slashing .185/.260/.292 with one steal, one home run and five RBI across 73 plate appearances in Triple-A this season.

The Pirates optioned Bae to Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.

The move makes room on the 26-man roster for Nick Solak, whose contract was selected by the Pirates. Bae appeared in five games for Pittsburgh after being recalled May 9 and went 1-for-7 with two stolen bases and three runs scored over that span. He could return to the majors should the Pirates require outfield depth.

The Giants reinstated Fitzgerald (ribs) from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Fitzgerald landed on the 10-day IL in early May due to a left rib fracture. He went 3-for-10 with three RBI across three rehab outings with Triple-A Sacramento, and he's progressed enough in his recovery to return from the IL. He'll start at second base and bat ninth against the Athletics on Friday in his return, per Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News.

The Pirates selected Solak's contract from Triple-A Indianapolis, and he will start at first base and bat sixth against the Phillies on Friday.

Solak has spent the entire season in Triple-A after signing a minor-league deal with the Pirates in December. He has dominated at the plate in the minors, slashing .389/.449/.619 with four stolen bases, six home runs and 20 RBI over 127 plate appearances. With Spencer Horwitz (wrist) and Enmanuel Valdez (shoulder) both on the injured list, Solak will start at first base Friday and make his first major-league appearance since 2022 as a member of the Rangers.

The Rockies optioned Bouchard to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

In a flurry of roster moves that saw Tyler Freeman (oblique), Aaron Schunk (groin) and Ezequiel Tovar (hip) all return from the injured list Friday, Bouchard will be sent back to the minors in order to free up space on the big-league roster. The 29-year-old slashed .169/.250/.246 across 72 plate appearances while in the majors and will now look to rediscover his swing in Triple-A.

The Rockies reinstated Tovar (hip) from the injured list Friday.

A bruised hip sent Tovar to the injured list in mid-April, and although he didn't progress through rehab as quickly as the team expected, he now seems to be fully past the injury. The 23-year-old went 4-for-18 with an RBI and a run scored in five rehab games at Triple-A Albuquerque and is expected to reclaim his role as Colorado's primary shortstop.

The Rockies reinstated Schunk (groin) from the injured list Friday.

Schunk went 4-for-14 with a homer and two RBI in four games at Triple-A Albuquerque while working his way back from a groin strain he suffered in late April. The 27-year-old had been starting regularly at shortstop for Colorado before getting hurt, but he's now likely to come off the bench more often with Ezequiel Tovar (hip) also off the injured list.

The Diamondbacks selected Montes De Oca's contract from Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Montes De Oca has been brought in to bolster the Diamondbacks' bullpen after Joe Mantiply was optioned to Triple-A following Wednesday's game against the Giants. Montes De Oca started the year in Triple-A, and across 12 outings he has posted a 2.37 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB across 19 innings. He will have the opportunity to make his major-league debut during the Diamondbacks' weekend series against the Rockies.
