Megill picked up the save in Thursday's 8-5 win over the Pirates after throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out one.

It was a spotless inning of work for Megill but not for the Brewers, who saw Carlos Rodriguez give up two earned runs in the frame. Megill allowed one of those runs to come across via a groundout, but it was still his 10th consecutive outing without being charged with an earned run. The hard-throwing right-hander has strengthened his hold on Milwaukee's closing job after a rocky beginning in 2025, having converted each of his last six save chances while posting a 0.93 ERA and 9:4 K:BB across his last 9.2 innings.

Harris went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to Washington.

Harris hadn't logged a steal since May 4 versus the Dodgers. He hit .232 with a .302 on-base percentage over the 15 games between thefts, with five of his 13 hits in that span going for extra bases. The outfielder is 8-for-10 on stolen base attempts this season. While his speed is intact, he's struggled in nearly every other area, posting a .225/.259/.342 slash line, three home runs, 29 RBI, 12 runs scored, nine doubles and two triples through 49 contests. With Ronald Acuna (knee) set to make his season debut Friday, Harris is virtually guaranteed to be hitting in the bottom third of the order for the foreseeable future.

Yelich went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Thursday's 8-5 win over the Pirates.

Thursday marked the 11th career multi-homer game for Yelich, who matched a season high in RBI. The veteran outfielder has struggled mightily at the plate overall this season, and he's batting just .136 with four big flies, seven RBI and 10 runs scored over his last 81 at-bats. Yelich has made just six appearances in the outfield this year, which should help keep the slugger healthy, and his strong 47.6 percent hard-hit rate on the campaign offers cause for optimism. However, he's currently being dragged down by a 63 percent groundball rate, which is the highest in the league among qualified batters by over five percentage points.

Burrows (0-1) took the loss Thursday against the Brewers after allowing four runs on four hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out three.

Thursday marked the first major-league start of the season and second career outing for Burrows, who struggled to keep the ball in the yard against Milwaukee. The 25-year-old right-hander served up two home runs, and he got an ordinary nine whiffs. Burrows sports a 2.51 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 41:11 K:BB over 32.1 innings for Triple-A Indianapolis in 2025, but he'll be tough to trust in his next scheduled turn against an Arizona team that boasts an .812 OPS versus right-handers through their first 50 games.

Ozuna went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, two total RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to Washington.

Ozuna went back-to-back with Matt Olson in the first inning. This was Ozuna's third homer in the last four games, a span in which he's gone 7-for-15 (.467) with six RBI and a 4:4 BB:K. The designated hitter struggled for power in late April and early May with a 14-game homerless stretch, but he seems to have bounced back. He's now batting. 278 with a .913 OPS, nine homers, 24 RBI, 24 runs scored, six doubles and no stolen bases across 46 contests.

Civale (hamstring) didn't factor into the decision in Thursday's 8-5 win over the Pirates after striking out three batters and allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks in four innings.

Civale turned in an up-and-down performance in his first start for Milwaukee since March 30 after he had been on the 15-day injured list for nearly two months while recovering from a strained left hamstring. The 29-year-old right-hander has now given up four home runs over only seven innings this season, and he also hit a batter Thursday while throwing just 42 of his 73 pitches for strikes. Civale was operating under a restricted workload in his return, but he should be able to push his pitch count up to the 80-to-90 range in his next start, which will likely come early next week against the Red Sox in MIlwaukee.

Olson went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, an RBI double and two total runs scored in Thursday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to Washington.

Olson opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first inning. He also forced extras with an RBI double in the ninth, but Atlanta ultimately fell in the 10th. The first baseman is 11-for-21 (.524) with four homers, three doubles, seven RBI and six runs scored during his current five-game hitting streak. Overall, he's up to a .250/.357/.483 slash line with 11 homers, 28 RBI, 29 runs scored, nine doubles and no stolen bases across 49 contests.

Smith-Shawver allowed seven runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out one over three-plus innings in a no-decision versus Washington on Thursday.

Smith-Shawver's start was pushed back a day after Wednesday's rainout, and he didn't pitch well. The right-hander endured his worst start of the season, with the second and fourth innings being particularly troublesome. One silver lining was that he didn't allow a home run, but this start was discouraging after he'd allowed just two runs (one earned) across his first 19.2 innings in May. He's now at a 3.67 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 41:20 K:BB through 41.2 innings over eight starts this season. Smith-Shawver's next outing is projected to be at Philadelphia, which is a tough matchup but one that will allow fantasy managers to see if he can bounce back effectively.

Hassell went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Thursday's 8-7 extra-inning win over Atlanta.

This was Hassell's major-league debut, and it didn't take him long to make an impact. He hit a leadoff single in the second inning and stole second before scoring on a CJ Abrams single. Hassell is getting a look in the Nationals' outfield while the team is missing Dylan Crews (oblique) and Jacob Young (shoulder), though it's possible he could stick around longer if he makes a strong first impression. The 23-year-old Hassell slashed .288/.337/.405 across 43 games with Triple-A Rochester this year prior to his call-up after struggling over 17 games at that level to end 2024.

Finnegan allowed an unearned run on two hits over one inning, taking a blown save in Thursday's 8-7 extra-inning win over Atlanta.

An error allowed Atlanta to continue its push in the ninth inning, and Matt Olson ultimately doubled home Luke Williams to force extras. Finnegan has made 19 appearances this season, and he's 15-for-18 in save chances after this outing. That speaks to the Nationals' reliance on close wins given their 23-27 record, and while Finnegan hasn't been elite, he's had plenty of opportunities to close out games. He hasn't been scored on in back-to-back appearances yet, but he also hasn't stretched a scoreless streak beyond a 4.2-inning stretch from April 6-15. Finnegan has a 2.41 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB over 18.2 innings this season as Washington's closer.
