Taillon (4-3) earned the win Monday against the Rockies, allowing one run on four hits and no walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.

The Chicago right-hander took care of business against a Colorado lineup that entered the contest with a league-worst .220 team batting average. The only blemish on Taillon's performance was a solo homer yielded to Mickey Moniak in the fifth. Through 63 total innings, Taillon has pitched to a 3.86 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 51:12 K:BB. He is currently scheduled to make his next start against Cincinnati at home this weekend.

Palmquist (0-3) took the loss in Monday's game against the Cubs. He conceded two runs on three hits and three walks over five innings with four strikeouts.

The rookie southpaw held his own in Wrigley Field during this 92-pitch outing, producing his best work yet after allowing 11 earned runs over his first two starts. Palmquist limited the Cubs to just one extra-base hit as the pair of runs scored via a Dansby Swanson groundout in the first and a Kyle Tucker single in the fifth. With this effort, Palmquist lowered his ERA from 11.88 to 8.78 across 13.1 total innings. Things won't get easier for the 24-year-old, as he lines up to make his next start at the Mets this weekend.

Reynolds (undisclosed) is batting third and playing right field for Monday's game against Arizona.

Reynolds was absent from Sunday's lineup after experiencing what Pirates' general manager Ben Cherington called "a little tightness in the trunk." Despite the vague injury, Reynolds is feeling good enough to roam right field for Monday's series opener against the Diamondbacks.

Cameron exited Monday's game against the Red Sox after the sixth inning due to a left knee contusion, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Cameron went 0-for-3 at the plate before departing the contest, and he popped out to second base in the bottom of the sixth inning before being replaced by Sal Frelick in right field. Cameron's next chance to play will come Tuesday against Boston, though it's not a guarantee he'll be in the lineup even if he's healthy.

Assad (oblique) played catch Monday, Zoe Grossman of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Assad re-injured his oblique in late April during a rehab start and had been shut down from throwing since. However, he's been cleared to begin a throwing program and played catch Monday for the first time since the injury. Assad remains weeks away from being activated from the 60-day IL.

Cubs' manager Craig Counsell said Monday that Hodge (oblique) was "not making progress" in his recovery, Zoe Grossman of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Hodge was placed on the injured list May 18 with a left oblique strain and Counsell said Hodge was "in a good spot" Friday. However, Hodge's recovery has halted for unknown reasons, and he may require more than the minimum stay on the 15-day injured list. If that's the case, expect Daniel Palencia to continue to see ninth-inning work.

Edman is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

Edman will get an off day for Monday's series opener against Cleveland. Hyeseong Kim will bat ninth and play second base. Since being activated from the injured list May 18, Edman is 3-for-23 (.130) at the plate.

Siri (tibia) is scheduled to hit live batting practice against Sean Manaea on Thursday, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

Siri is recovering from a fractured left tibia and has been ahead of schedule in his rehab. Per Albanese, Siri is still limited to running in a straight line, but he's set to hit live pitching for the first time since sustaining the injury. He's on track to return in early to mid-June.

Manaea (oblique) will throw live batting practice Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Manaea will face hitters for the first time since being placed on the 15-day injured list Feb. 24 due to a strained left oblique. The next step in his recovery will be a rehab assignment, though he may throw multiple live sessions before heading out. While he'll likely need several rehab appearances before being activated, Manaea is on track to make his 2025 MLB in early July.

Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday in a 3-1 loss to the Mets.

Highlighting why Ohtani is the most unique player in baseball, the two-way star threw a 22-pitch live batting practice session -- marking his first time facing live hitters since undergoing Tommy John surgery in September 2023 -- before Sunday's game and then led off the contest with a 411-foot solo blast on Kodai Senga's second pitch. While excitement is starting to build about Ohtani's eventual return to the mound, he continues to rank as one of the league's most feared hitters, tying for the MLB lead with 18 home runs while posting a 1.026 OPS. According to Ronald Blum of the Associated Press, manager Dave Roberts said that Ohtani likely won't make his debut as a pitcher until after the All-Star break, but in the meantime, the 30-year-old should continue to provide plenty of value for fantasy managers with his production at the plate.
