Edwards (back) will start at second base in his first rehab game with Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday and is expected to serve as the Marlins' primary option at the keystone once he's reinstated from the 10-day injured list, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Edwards broke into the big leagues as a second baseman in 2023 but has primarily played shortstop since the beginning of the 2024 season. While the Marlins don't seem opposed to occasionally using Edwards at shortstop moving forward, Otto Lopez has fared well defensively at the position since returning to action May 18 following an IL stint of his own, so Edwards will prepare for a full-time role at second base with Miami during his rehab assignment. Edwards is expected to need only a couple games with Jacksonville before potentially being activated at some point over the weekend.

Garcia went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's win over the Mariners.

The second baseman got Washington on the board by taking George Kirby deep in the second inning, one of four long balls on the night by the Nats. Garcia has found a groove at the plate since returning from paternity leave in mid-May, batting .281 (9-for-32) over his last nine games with two of his five homers on the season, as well as four doubles, five runs and seven RBI.

Nimmo went 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox.

The veteran outfielder has been an on-base machine for most of his career, but Wednesday's performance was the first time since May 5 that Nimmo has drawn multiple free passes in the same game, and only the third time he's done it in 2025. He's gotten on base seven times in three games since returning from a brief absence due to a stiff neck earlier this week, but the improved OBP may be a result of moving up in the batting order rather than improved health. After spending the season hitting in the heart of the order between fourth and sixth, manager Carlos Mendoza has slotted Nimmo into the two-hole the last three contests.

Sanchez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's win over the Padres.

The 27-year-old outfielder took Kyle Hart deep in the fifth inning, kicking off a five-run frame for the Marlins that tied the game at 6-6, en route to an eventual 10-8 victory. Three of Sanchez's four homers on the season have come in the last nine games, a stretch in which he's slashing .314/.415/.657 with seven RBI and eight runs.

Henriquez (3-1) was charged with a blown save but picked up the win Wednesday against the Padres, allowing two runs on one hit and one walk over two innings. He struck out three.

The right-hander was called in to protect a 7-6 lead in the seventh inning but served up a two-run homer to Gavin Sheets, only for the Marlins to strike back for three runs in the top of the eighth. Calvin Faucher ended up working the ninth for the save, but Henriquez may be Miami's top high-leverage option at the moment. Wednesday's homer was the first on his ledger since April 27, while the earned runs were the first he'd given up since April 28. Through 12 appearances in May, Henriquez sports a 1.38 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB in 13 innings while collecting two wins, two holds and his first career save.

Wagaman went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Wednesday's win over the Padres.

It's his third three-hit performance in the last 12 games, a stretch in which Wagaman is slashing .340/.370/.460 with a homer, seven runs and seven RBI. The 27-year-old has emerged as an everyday player for the Marlins, seeing most of his action at first base right now with occasional forays into left field, but his overall fantasy impact remains minimal -- he has a .693 OPS on the season with four homers and one steal in 50 contests.

Allen is out of the lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Phillies.

Allen had started in every game dating back to April 23, so he'll get an overdue breather in Atlanta's first contest of the day before presumably returning to the lineup for the nightcap. Luke Williams will step in at shortstop for Allen in the early game.

Baldwin is out of the lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Phillies.

With a .337 batting average and .912 OPS in 105 plate appearances on the season, Baldwin has emerged as Atlanta's preferred option behind the plate, despite the fact that Sean Murphy is in the third year of a six-year, $73 million extension and has performed well in his own right (.783 OPS) through the first two months of the campaign. Atlanta manager Brian Snitker seems to have settled on a platoon between the two backstops, so the left-handed-hitting Baldwin will give way to the right-handed-hitting Murphy behind the plate while southpaw Cristopher Sanchez takes the hill for the Phillies in Game 1. Baldwin will re-enter the lineup for the nightcap to face off against right-hander Zack Wheeler.

Acuna is out of the lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Phillies.

Acuna should be back in the lineup for the nightcap, but Atlanta isn't yet ready to have him play two nine-inning games on the same day after he returned from the 15-day injured list last week. The 27-year-old has yet to attempt a stolen base through four games with Atlanta or during his six-game minor-league rehab assignment, but his surgically repaired left knee doesn't seem to be presenting any complications for him in the outfield or when he runs the bases. Acuna has also been dialed in at the plate since being activated Friday, going 5-for-16 with two home runs, a double and two walks.

Realmuto is out of the lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

Rafael Marchan will handle catching duties for the first game of the day, but Realmuto should be back behind the dish for the nightcap, when he'll form a battery with right-hander Zack Wheeler. Realmuto had started in each of the Phillies' previous four games and went 2-for-17 at the plate, bringing his batting average down to a career-low .228 for the season.
