Brewers' Carlos Rodriguez: Lands on injured list
The Brewers placed Rodriguez on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a right shoulder impingement, MLB.com reports.
Milwaukee optioned Rodriguez to Triple-A Nashville on May 31, but he hadn't made an appearance since being demoted and has now been moved to the IL retroactive to that date. Rodriguez will be eligible for activation June 15, but whenever he's reinstated, Milwaukee is likely to option him back to Triple-A.

Reds' Julian Aguiar: Returns from MiLB IL
Aguiar (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list Thursday.
Aguiar landed on the shelf in April due to an unspecified injury, but he's managed to put the issue behind him and has returned to Triple-A Louisville after making three rehab appearances in May. The right-hander looked comfortable in his first outing with Louisville since April 8, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out four over four scoreless frames Friday against Triple-A Memphis.

Brewers' Gerson Garabito: Activated from IL
Garabito (foot) was activated from the 60-day injured list Saturday.
Garabito was initially given a four-month timetable for a return after undergoing surgery to repair a broken bone in his foot in late February, but he managed to finish up his rehab ahead of schedule. Oneil Cruz CF | PIT
Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Considered day-to-day
Cruz suffered a cut on his hand during Saturday's game against Atlanta and is being considered day-to-day, Jeff Hathhorn of 93.7 The Fan reports.
Cruz was held out of the lineup Sunday after suffering a cut on his hand while sliding into home plate. However, the club is confident that the star outfielder will be able to avoid a trip to the injured list, and he'll presumably be re-evaluated before Tuesday's series opener against the Dodgers to determine if he can be penciled into the starting nine.

Jason Foley RP | SF
Giants' Jason Foley: Pulled back from rehab stint
Foley was pulled off his rehab assignment after experiencing right shoulder fatigue, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Foley is continuing to work his way back from arthroscopic shoulder shoulder at Triple-A Sacramento on a rehab assignment, but he'll be shut down for the next few days. Pavlovic notes that if all goes according to plan, the right-hander could be back to pitching by the weekend. Foley would likely need to appear in another game or two at Triple-A before being activated from the 60-day injured list.

Sal Frelick RF | MIL
Brewers' Sal Frelick: Getting breather Monday
Frelick isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.
Frelick is off to a decent start to June, hitting .292 with five RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored in six games, but he'll take a seat Monday with the Brewers set to face off against southpaw Jeffrey Springs. Jake Bauers will draw a rare start in right field in Frelick's place.

Matt Waldron SP | SD
Padres' Matt Waldron: Getting closer to rehab assignment
Waldron (forearm) is scheduled to throw two innings of a bullpen session Tuesday and is on track to start a rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso this Sunday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Waldron landed on the 15-day injured list in mid-May due to a right brachialis muscle injury, his second stint on the IL this season. He's progressed enough in his recovery to close in on a rehab assignment, and he could back with the big club after a couple of outings in the minors. When he returns to the majors, Waldron will likely operate out of the Padres' bullpen after Lucas Giolito was added to the rotation.
