Sterlin Thompson DH | COL
Rockies' Sterlin Thompson: On bench again
Thompson is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.
Thompson will hit the bench for a third straight game, with two of his absences during that span coming against right-handed starting pitchers. Since being promoted from Triple-A Albuquerque on May 22, Thompson has gotten on base at a strong .364 clip, but he's hit for little power (.297 slugging percentage) over 15 games. The Rockies seem to be prioritizing Edouard Julien ahead of Thompson for the final spot in their lineup, so it wouldn't be surprising if Thompson were sent back to Albuquerque in the near future while his playing time continues to slip.

Jeff Criswell RP | COL
Rockies' Jeff Criswell: Recalled from Triple-A
The Rockies recalled Criswell from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.
Criswell missed all of the 2025 season recovering from Tommy John surgery and has authored a 7.59 ERA in 10.2 innings with Albuquerque this season, though he has struck out 15. If the 27-year-old gets into a game, it will be his first appearance in the majors since 2024.

Keegan Thompson RP | COL
Rockies' Keegan Thompson: DFA'd by Rockies
The Rockies designated Thompson for assignment Tuesday.
Thompson cleared waivers and remained in the organization after the Rockies booted him from the 40-man roster back in March, and he could stick around again. The righty has coughed up 11 runs over 12 innings out of the Colorado bullpen this season.

Joey Bart C | ATL
Pirates' Joey Bart: Nearing rehab assignment
Bart (foot) is expected to start a rehab assignment this week, Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.
Bart was placed on the 10-day injured list back on May 12 but will begin his rehab assignment soon. Before landing on the IL, the 29-year-old slashed .259/.290/.379 with two home runs and six RBI in 62 plate appearances.

Michael Harris CF | ATL
Braves' Michael Harris: Back in lineup Tuesday
Harris (back) is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.
After not starting the previous two games, Harris will bat second and play center field Tuesday. The 25-year-old had been battling back tightness, which was deemed not particularly serious, allowing Harris to pinch hit during Sunday's series finale against Pittsburgh and contribute the game-winning three-run double for Atlanta.

Quinn Priester SP | MIL
Brewers' Quinn Priester: Moves to 60-day IL
The Brewers transferred Priester (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Saturday.
Priester has been on the shelf all season while recovering from symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome, so his move to the 60-day IL was merely procedural. The right-hander remains in the midst of a rehab assignment, but he's shown little sign of regaining the form that made him a vital part of the Milwaukee rotation in 2025. After struggling to a 21.60 ERA and 3.60 WHIP over 10 innings in six rehab starts between High-A Wisconsin and Triple-A Nashville from April 22 through May 27, Priester recently had his assignment transferred to the Arizona Complex League. He was once again lacking in command in his second appearance in the ACL on Monday, spotting just 35 of his 73 pitches for strikes over 2.2 innings while generating four punchouts and yielding three earned runs on one hit and five walks. He also hit a batter and threw three wild pitches.

Nathan Church LF | STL
Cardinals' Nathan Church: Activated from injured list
The Cardinals activated Church (shoulder) from the injured list Tuesday, Jim Hayes of FanDuel Sports Network Midwest reports.
After landing on the IL on May 22, Church will return to St. Louis having missed over two weeks of action. Before hitting the injured list, the 25-year-old slashed .247/.282/.390 with five homers and 18 RBI. St. Louis optioned Victor Scott in order to make room for Church, who will play center field and bat ninth for the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Konnor Griffin SS | PIT
Pirates' Konnor Griffin: Set to resume throwing Wednesday
Griffin (elbow) is scheduled to resume throwing Wednesday, Jason Mackey of MLB.com reports.
Griffin will do some light throwing Wednesday as he begins a throwing progression. The rookie is coming back from a flexor strain in his right elbow, and the Pirates have refrained from offering a timeline for Griffin's return to the active roster. It's not clear whether the team is considering bringing Griffin back sooner to serve only as a designated hitter initially.

Alberto Laroche SP | SF
Giants' Alberto Laroche: Sidelined in Arizona
Laroche is sidelined in the Arizona Complex League due to a strained right rotator cuff, Josh Norris of Baseball America reports.
Laroche gets high marks for his current low-to-mid-90s fastball velocity that doesn't require significant effort as well as his projectable 6-foot-1 frame. He had a 2.11 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 34:6 K:BB in 38.1 innings while repeating the Dominican Summer League last year.

Luis Torrens C | NYM
Mets' Luis Torrens: Returning to backup job
Torrens is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.
The 30-year-old has operated as the Mets' primary catcher since Francisco Alvarez (knee) landed on the injured list in mid-May, but the latter was reinstated to the active roster Tuesday. Torrens has a .598 OPS in 120 plate appearances this season and should operate as New York's No. 2 catcher going forward with Alvarez now healthy.
