Tucker went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Pirates.

Tucker had been mired in an 0-for-14 slump over his last four games, but he snapped out of it with a strong effort Saturday. The outfielder is still searching for his first home run since July 19, and in 22 contests since then, he's slashing just .187/.344/.213. Tucker may still be bothered by a finger injury sustained June 1, though he has downplayed its impact on his swing.

Wood is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The 22-year-old slugger started the previous 17 games but will receive Sunday off after posting a .232/.284/.362 slash line and 33.8 percent strikeout rate during that stretch. Days off could become more common for Wood as the Nationals juggle five outfielders through four lineup spots, including DH. Luis Garcia will fill in at designated hitter for Wood, opening up second base for Jose Tena.

Kelly went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Pirates.

Kelly has been effective at the plate this season with 13 home runs and an .830 OPS through 83 games, but speed hasn't been a part of his output, as this was his first stolen base of the year. It was actually the veteran catcher's first steal since 2023, and he only has four total stolen bases during his 10-year MLB career. Kelly figures to keep seeing opportunities in the heart of Chicago's lineup, especially with Miguel Amaya (ankle) back on the IL, but he likely won't run too much more often.

Pages went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 12-8 loss against the Yankees.

Pages' performance was highlighted by a homer in the ninth inning that ultimately went to waste in a high-scoring loss. The catcher has carved out solid playing time this month and has thrived with it, batting .448 with three doubles, three homers and nine RBI across nine games since Aug. 2.

Winn went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 12-8 loss against the Yankees.

Winn gave the Cardinals an early boost with his ninth homer of the season off Max Fried in the second inning, but the spark faded as they went on to drop Saturday's high-scoring contest. Known more for his elite defense than his bat, the 23-year-old shortstop owns a .392 slugging percentage and a .713 OPS this season, hovering right around league average offensively.

Kittredge (3-3) tossed a scoreless inning of relief to earn the win in Saturday's 3-1 victory over the Pirates. He allowed a hit and struck out two.

Starter Shota Imanaga departed after seven strong innings and the score tied 1-1, leaving the top of the eighth to Kittredge. After the righty got through the frame, the Cubs scored twice in the bottom of the inning, giving Kittredge his first win with the team since coming over in a trade on July 30. He had one rough outing with Chicago on Aug. 5, allowing four runs while only retiring one batter, but Kittredge has otherwise recorded six scoreless appearances for the Cubs. The veteran should continue to occupy a high-leverage role.

Gray (11-6) took the loss Saturday, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Gray was knocked around early, giving up two runs in the first inning and allowing runs in three of his five frames overall. The veteran had looked sharp in his previous three outings, posting a 2.37 ERA and 0.89 WHIP across 19 innings, but Saturday's start halted that momentum. For the year, the right-hander carries a 4.30 ERA and 1.19 WHIP through 140.1 innings in 25 starts.

Hayes went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a sacrifice fly during Saturday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Brewers.

The third baseman ended Quinn Priester's shutout effort by going deep to left field in the sixth inning, and Hayes added another run in the 11th on a sacrifice fly. He's struggled at the plate since being acquired by the Reds from the Pirates in late July, but Hayes has recorded a hit in four of his last six games while going 6-for-17 (.353) over that span.

Steer went 1-for-3 with two walks and a solo home run during Saturday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to Milwaukee.

Steer gave the Reds a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning on a deep shot to left-center field off Quinn Priester. Steer has logged at least one RBI in four of his last six games, and over that span he has gone 6-for-22 (.273) with five runs, two doubles, two home runs and nine RBI.

Marte went 2-for-5 with a solo homer during the Reds' 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Brewers on Saturday.

He made things interesting in the 11th inning by taking the second pitch he saw from Nick Mears deep to left field to reduce the Reds' deficit to one run. Marte has been hot at the plate as of late and is on a seven-game hitting streak, going 13-for-30 (.433) with five doubles, two home runs and nine RBI over that span.
