Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Braves' Matt Olson: Pushes hitting streak to nine games
Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Mets.
Olson blasted his 15th long ball of the season, pushing his hitting streak to nine games and his on-base streak to 25. During this latter period (110 plate appearances), the All-Star first baseman is slashing a healthy .271/.355/.542 with six big flies, eight doubles, 20 RBI and 16 runs scored. Olson has seen a considerable boost in RBI production since Ronald Acuna rejoined the lineup -- the former has collected 17 RBI over his last 23 games after recording just 28 across his first 49 outings without Acuna.

Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: May need IL stint
Baty was unavailable off the bench for Wednesday's game against Atlanta and may be placed on the injured list if he doesn't show any improvement Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Baty hasn't played since Sunday due to his groin injury, and he's been progressing more slowly in his recovery than the Mets originally expected. If he's still unable to play Thursday or doesn't at least show significant improvement, the Mets may opt to place him on the IL, which would keep him sidelined for at least another week.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Tallies first triple amid slump
Albies went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Mets.
Albies tallied his first triple of the season, and it was just the second instance this year that he posted multiple extra-base hits. Wednesday marked the second baseman's first multi-hit game since May 25, as he continues to have a hard time finding his footing with a .634 OPS in 2025. Over his last 20 outings, Albies is slashing .192/.298/.288 with four extra-base knocks, six RBI, six runs scored and a lone stolen base covering 84 plate appearances.

Corbin Carroll RF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: X-rays negative on hand
X-rays on Carroll's left hand came back negative following his removal from Wednesday's game against Toronto after getting hit by a pitch, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.
Carroll took a 91-mph sinker off his hand during the eighth inning of Wednesday's loss, but it appears he escaped the incident without suffering any major damage. He may sit out Thursday's series finale if some soreness persists, though a trip to the injured list shouldn't be necessary.

Chris Sale SP | ATL
Braves' Chris Sale: Comes up short of shutout
Sale (5-4) notched the win Wednesday against the Mets, giving up five hits and one walk in 8.2 scoreless innings. He struck out seven.
The All-Star left-hander narrowly missed out on what would've been his fourth career shutout, as Brandon Nimmo poked a bloop single to end the hurler's bid with two outs in the ninth inning. Sale still continued his recent tear on the mound, twirling at least six innings while allowing one run or fewer in his sixth straight start. His slow start to the year is becoming a distant memory, as Sale has drastically improved his 6.17 ERA from April 19 to 2.53 on the campaign following Wednesday's gem. The southpaw boasts a 1.23 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 82:19 K:BB over his last 10 appearances (66 innings), and he's scheduled for a rematch against the Mets early next week.

Paul Blackburn RP | NYY
Mets' Paul Blackburn: Settles in after rough first inning
Blackburn (0-1) was saddled with the loss Wednesday against Atlanta, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks in 3.2 innings. He struck out two.
Blackburn wasn't fully stretched out in his second start of the season, as he was pulled after throwing 73 pitches, but he managed to settle in following Atlanta's three-run first frame. The Mets will likely need the veteran right-hander for at least one more start, with Kodai Senga (hamstring), Sean Manaea (oblique) and Frankie Montas (lat) all still sitting on the injured list. Blackburn's next turn in the Mets' rotation lines up for a rematch versus Atlanta next week, when he'll carry a 6.94 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB through his first 13 innings of the year.

Michael McGreevy SP | STL
Cardinals' Michael McGreevy: Starting nightcap Thursday
McGreevy will be called up from Triple-A Memphis to start the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the White Sox, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
McGreevy owns a 2.51 ERA and 1.20 WHIP across 61 innings in Triple-A and will now come up for another spot start in the closing game of Thursday's twin bill. The 24-year-old righty has previously appeared in two games for the Cardinals in 2025, most recently allowing four runs in a six-inning start against the Dodgers on June 8.

Bryce Harper 1B | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Almost back to throwing
Manager Rob Thomson said Wednesday that Harper (wrist) has improved strength and range of motion, and the first baseman is "getting close" to throwing, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The 32-year-old has been fielding grounders since landing on the injured list June 7 due to wrist inflammation, but he has yet to be cleared to resume throwing or swing a bat. Harper may not require a rehab assignment before rejoining the active roster, but he'll need to get back to full baseball activities before a potential return date comes into focus.

Otto Kemp LF | PHI
Phillies' Otto Kemp: Managing knee issue
Kemp's absence from the lineup Wednesday against the Marlins is due to a knee injury, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The 25-year-old fouled a pitch off his knee during Tuesday's contest, and the subsequent swelling will keep him out of the lineup Wednesday for the first time since being promoted June 7. Kemp has a .278 average (10-for-39) in his first 10 big-league games, though his .306 slugging percentage is significantly less impressive as he has just one extra-base hit (a double). Alec Bohm shifted to first base Wednesday for the Phillies.
