Teoscar Hernandez LF | LAD
Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Dealing with foot injury
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros and is undergoing medical imaging on his left foot, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
The veteran outfielder was able to finish out Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Astros after fouling a pitch off his foot, but he'll sit out at least one game while he gets evaluated. Hernandez should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener at Milwaukee.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Getting breather Sunday
Hayes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.
After his 12-game hitting streak came to an end in Saturday's 1-0 loss, Hayes will exit the starting nine for what will be his first day off since June 25. Jared Triolo will spell Hayes at third base and will bat seventh.

Joey Bart C | ATL
Pirates' Joey Bart: Resting Sunday

Roki Sasaki SP | LAD
Dodgers' Roki Sasaki: Upping velocity from flat ground
In a pregame interview Friday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Sasaki's (shoulder) velocity while throwing from flat ground has "ticked up" to the upper-80s but indicated that the rookie hurler isn't yet ready for mound work, per The Dodgers Bleed Los Podcast.
Sasaki has been on the IL due to a right shoulder impingement since May 13, and he has had his throwing program paused on two separate occasions. However, the right-hander resumed playing catch June 20 and seems to be taking positive steps toward a return. Roberts stated Friday that Sasaki is "kind of letting it rip" from flat ground but indicated that it's "too early" for him to be ready for mound work. It's not yet clear when Sasaki will be able to take that step, but it at least appears that he's on track to be part of the Dodgers' pitching staff at some point during the second half of the campaign.

Brenton Doyle CF | COL
Rockies' Brenton Doyle: Remaining on bench Sunday
Doyle is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Though Doyle delivered a pinch-hit solo home run in Saturday's 10-3 loss, Rockies interim manager Warren Schaeffer will stick to his plan of keeping the outfielder out of the lineup for all three games of the weekend series. Schaeffer is hoping that the time off will provide a needed reset for Doyle, who had slashed .175/.204/.272 with a 25 percent strikeout rate dating back to the start of June before he slugged the solo home run Saturday. Mickey Moniak will patrol center field Sunday, but Doyle -- a two-time Gold Glove Award winner -- should settle back into an everyday role within the next few days.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Rockies' Kyle Farmer: Serving as DH on Sunday
Farmer will start at designated hitter and bat sixth Sunday against the White Sox.
Farmer has been getting most of his starts against left-handed pitching lately, but he'll crack the lineup Sunday with righty Shane Smith on the hill. Since the start of June, Farmer has batted .178 with one home run and a 1:13 BB:K over a stretch of 16 games.

Hunter Goodman C | COL
Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Receiving rest Sunday
Goodman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
The 26-year-old will take a seat for the series finale while Austin Nola receives a turn behind the plate. Goodman had started at catcher in the previous two contests, going 1-for-9 with a double and a run.

Grant Holmes SP | ATL
Braves' Grant Holmes: Quality start in loss
Holmes (4-8) took the loss Sunday against the Orioles, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out five.
While he was ultimately outdueled by Trevor Rogers in a 2-1 loss, Holmes delivered another strong performance Sunday. The right-hander has pitched to a 1.86 ERA over his last five starts (29 innings) while striking out 41 in that span. Overall, Holmes sports a 3.44 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP and 118:48 K:BB across 102 innings this season. He's currently slated to face the Cardinals on the road his next time out.

Tyler Freeman RF | COL
Rockies' Tyler Freeman: Sitting due to sore hamstring
Freeman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox due to right hamstring soreness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
The 26-year-old started the previous seven games and went 10-for-22 over the past six contests, but the hamstring issue will force him to the bench Sunday. Freeman said that his injury isn't serious, noting that soreness and cramping with his legs sometimes happens toward the end of homestands at the higher elevation. Yanquiel Fernandez will replace Freeman in the lineup in the series finale, manning right field and batting eighth.

Garrett Mitchell CF | MIL
Brewers' Garrett Mitchell: Shifts to 60-day IL
The Brewers transferred Mitchell (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.
The transaction is merely procedural with Mitchell on track to miss the rest of the season after undergoing left shoulder surgery Tuesday. In a corresponding move, Milwaukee reinstated Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list ahead of his 2025 debut Sunday against the Marlins.
