Rob Brantly C | MIA
Marlins' Rob Brantly: Cleared to resume rehab assignment
Brantly (lat/knee) was cleared to resume his rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.
Brantly didn't end up playing Sunday after Jacksonville's game against Charlotte was rained out, but the veteran catcher seems to be healthy again after left knee inflammation caused him to be pulled off his previous assignment with the Triple-A club about three weeks ago. The 35-year-old was initially placed on the injured list April 21 due to a right lat strain, though that injury no longer appears to be much of a concern. Once he completes his rehab assignment, Brantly could be activated from the 60-day IL and designated for assignment, as the Marlins are already carrying three catchers (Agustin Ramirez, Nick Fortes and Liam Hicks) on the 26-man active roster and wouldn't appear to have room for him.

Edward Cabrera SP | CHC
Marlins' Edward Cabrera: Suffers tough-luck loss
Cabrera (3-3) took the loss against the Brewers on Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks with five strikeouts over seven innings.
Cabrera's only blemish was a two-run homer by Jackson Chourio in the third inning, as he completed seven frames for the second straight outing. The 27-year-old extended an impressive run, having now allowed three earned runs or fewer in 11 consecutive starts dating back to May 4. He'll carry a 3.33 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 80:30 K:BB across 78.1 innings into a road matchup with the Orioles next weekend.

Brandon Woodruff SP | MIL
Brewers' Brandon Woodruff: Dazzles in debut
Woodruff (1-0) earned the win against the Marlins on Sunday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks with eight strikeouts over six innings.
Woodruff dominated in his first big-league start in 652 days, with the lone blemish being a solo homer in the fifth inning. He needed just 70 pitches to deliver a quality start, generating 10 whiffs while averaging 93 mph with both his fastball and sinker. It was an encouraging return for the 32-year-old, who will look to build on the outing in a favorable matchup against the Nationals next weekend.

Zach Pop RP | PHI
Mets' Zach Pop: Takes loss in team debut
Pop (0-1) took the loss against the Yankees on Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits over 1.1 innings. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.
Pop entered during the third inning of a bullpen game and was charged with three runs, including a solo homer to Austin Wells. The 28-year-old has now surrendered a staggering 10 earned runs while recording just seven outs over his past two appearances. For the season, he owns a 14.85 ERA, 2.55 WHIP and 3:2 K:BB across only 6.2 innings.

Trevor Megill RP | MIL
Brewers' Trevor Megill: Secures 20th save
Megill earned the save in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Marlins, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.
Megill was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning and needed just 12 pitches to close things out. After blowing a save in his final June outing, the 31-year-old has now converted two straight opportunities to open July and delivered his third clean frame over his past 10 appearances. For the season, he's 20-for-23 in save chances with a 2.56 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 38:15 K:BB across 31.2 innings.

Kendall Graveman RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Kendall Graveman: Beginning rehab assignment Tuesday
Graveman (hip) will make a rehab appearance in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Tuesday, MLB.com reports.
Graveman is working his way back from his second injury of the season, after a right lumbar strain suffered in spring training kept him from making his 2025 debut with Arizona until mid-May. He was most recently placed on the injured list June 9 due to a right hip impingement, but after facing live hitters Friday without issue, Graveman will move on to the final phase of his recovery program. He'll likely remain on assignment in the minors throughout the week before potentially returning from the IL coming out of the All-Star break.

Drey Jameson RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Drey Jameson: Recovering from bone chip in elbow
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Sunday that Jameson was pulled off his rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League last week due to a bone fragment chip in his right elbow, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Placed on Triple-A Reno's 7-day injured list May 20 due to a lateral right elbow injury, Jameson was cleared to pitch in ACL games in late June but made just two appearances before experiencing tightness in his pitching arm. Fortunately for Jameson, Lovullo relayed that the bone chip in the 28-year-old's elbow isn't expected to require surgery. A timeline for Jameson's return to the mound hasn't been established, however, and given that the righty previously underwent Tommy John surgery in September 2023, Arizona will likely tread carefully with his rehab program.
